We had sunshine when I woke up this morning and it was fairly warm as well. The clouds were on their way though and it looked like lots of rain were falling out from them as well but like yesterday the wind blew them away from us and it didn’t take long before they started […]
The last of my tulips to flower. No frost in several nights now so I’ll skip the covering of the plants in the greenhouse now. I moved out almost all the seedlings I have had in the windows here so I really hope that they’re right when they’re guessing it will stay above 0C (32F) […]
It has rained here since yesterday afternoon, I don’t have a rain meter but a friend of mine has gotten just more than an inch of rain. I now have two full water barrels and three on they way to become that and each can contain around 325 litres (around 84 gallons US). I think […]
We did get some rain last night, nice spring rain last evening and by the looks of it most likely drizzle for the rest of the night. Well we got rain and that’s the important thing. They’re guessing there’s a 95% chance of rain every day until Saturday night. They also say it’ll become warmer […]
Sunny morning and frost again but just below 0C (32F) so it didn’t feel that cold. The Cuckoo birds sound echoed all over the village and the bog. I heard it coming from north the first time and that means we’ll have another dry summer. The saying is that if one hear it from north […]
It’s really annoying because they’ve changed things here on WP and not for the better I’m afraid, now I need to re-learn how to put in photos here in the post and I don’t like it. Before I had a bar above what I wrote where I easily could just press a media button and […]
Greylags on they way out to the bog. A beautiful sunrise and a cold morning, not as cold as yesterday but cold enough to kill the plants that had survived yesterday but was badly hit by the frost yesterday. My neighbours tomato plants said good buy and the one I had in the greenhouse that […]
My neighbours keep finding the Monsters old collars in their garden, this one has been lost for at least six months 🙂 The night was much colder that I thought it would be, it was -7C (19,4F) when we went out on our morning walk and I could see that my neighbour had had to […]
Even though it barely reached 10C (50F) and the wind kept on blowing it wasn’t that bad today. The sun shone all day long and most of the wind came from west so most of it never reached my garden. I picked off around 25 small ticks from the dogs after the morning walk […]
Warm night and a wonderful day, well it would have been wonderful if that wind that never stops had been calmer. The gusts were really strong and I guess it’s because the cold wind from the arctic is on the way. Still most parts in my garden was wind free and I, instead of […]
Another summer warm day here but with an annoying wind blowing all the time, ok it is warm but the wind never seem to calm down any more. We’ll have one more nice day before the arctic winds return again. This time it looks as at least the nights will be warmer so they […]
The forest owner cut down three birch trees around the old root cellar. My neighbours will now have evening sun but I’ve seen them every day for 26 years so it looks so empty now. I had written a really long post and just had to leave the computer for a few minutes and during […]
