The photos today were taken last Monday. I have no idea to why this blog post looks so odd with big spaces empty furthet down but they’ve made lots of changes here on WP lately and I must have missed something 🙂 🙂 🙂We’ve had sunshine for two days in a row now but that will not happen again any time close again 🙂  It was nice while it lasted though. It is cold all the time now and they’re now guessing this cold weather will stay until at least the end of March. The jet streams over the arctic. seems to have collapsed again so all that cold flows down further south to us and I think it might be the same over the American continent. My electricity bill was not fun this time so I checked my electricity contract and changed it.

As it is now until the last of this month I pay the average price during the month and during the warm part of the year I pay less than if I had a binding contract but I’ve now changed it to a locked price the coming six months so if this cold weather stays I’ll pay around a third less per kilowatt. We could have really cheap electricity here but since we’ve joined the EU we now pay much more. The price is levelled at what the most expensive power they use in the EU, so even if our price should be low we still have to pay the more expensive price they have here in Europe. I really can’t understand that but that’s the way it is.

So I made that banana jam and I had it on two of the pancakes I had yesterday. Well I hope the birds can eatit, they’ll get loads of vitamins and energy from the sugar 🙂 🙂 So now I’ve tried it and never will I try it again 🙂 🙂 🙂  It didn’t taste banana at all but more like lemon and the consistency  was like somewhat rubbery marmalade 🙂 🙂 plus the colour did look way too much like something pouring out from an infected wound 🙂

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lots of the Olympic games on tv right now and so far it has been great from Swedish eyes seen 🙂 Yesterday we won the gold medal in the Single mix curling over the US team 🙂 🙂 I have to say that I was quite convinced the US would win but our skipper made some pretty good shots towards the end and it wasn’t until the last stone our team won 🙂 Also our ladies won gold, silver and bronze in the cross country ski sprint race 🙂 Our men competitors in most sports aren’t as good as our women it seems so I just listen with one ear when I know it is our men competing but watch it with full attention when it is our ladies 🙂 Today it’s the women biathlons competing and I’m pretty sure we’ll be amongst the top there even though France is the big favourite to be honest.

 

I can never find the flour varieties I want and need when going to the grocery stores here, so I’ve given up and I’m now ordering it online instead. The same price or cheaper and I get it delivered to my door for the same cost as if I had driven to the store myself. So we’ll have no walk until the parcel arrives because for some reason I need to stay at home to sign to get the parcel. This time I’ve ordered oat flour, sorghum flour and millet flour. I’ve experimented with different kinds of flour to get as close as possible to a real french roll 🙂 🙂 Millet seems to be the flour that actually makes it come as close as possible 🙂

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It is time to make a pot of tea and then I’ll start baking a bread with what I have at home in the slow cooker. I found a recipe online to do that so I’ll try it today.

Nothing much to say today, almost no wind and an hour before the sun set we actually saw the sun 🙂 It did feel rather nice to be outside just because we didn’t have any wind but I guess it soon will come back.

The night will be cold though and since I need to go to the supermarket tomorrow I’ll go later in the day than the normal as early as possible. It’s not like it will be warm later in the day, just less cold 🙂  I think we’ve gotten around 5 inches of snow and it’s the light and fluffy kind as well so not especially heavy to walk in but more like no grip and it manages to make the ice beneath it become even more slippery 🙂

We have a flu going around I’ve heard and so far I’ve managed to only get a slight cold but I guess that it won’t last if I go to the supermarket. I need food though lots of jam sugar and some berries plus ripe bananas, a lemon and a lime. I’ve found several recipes on banana jam 🙂 🙂 🙂 and of course I need to try it 🙂 If it is as easy as they say I’ll make my neighbours some as well, they give me eggs from time to time. They are a bit funny because they don’t eat many eggs and want to have more chickens. They will however not have any as dinner so I do wonder how it will end 🙂 🙂 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea, a french roll as well and perhaps I’ll put meatballs on it 🙂

Snow.

I noticed tiny, tiny snowflakes yesterday evening just before going to bed and this morning they had grown a bit bigger and multiplied a lot. They don’t fall down though, they fall sidewise in the strong eastern wind that never seem to leave us. Normally we have winds from west here and since I can’t feel them here where I live I don’t care much about them. Eastern winds however reach my home and since they usually comes during winter and they tend to be nasty cold I really don’t like them. Eastern winds during summer however, very rare though, are nice and warm even if they have blown over the Baltic Sea so I do like them then 🙂 🙂

I had a chat with my neighbour today, everyone in the family is at home and have a cold, he’s the only one not getting it yet. He wanted to put one of their cars in their garage but couldn’t because they have a greenhouse standing there right now 🙂 It is more or less the same size as mine and fully assembled. It will stand there for quite some time I’m afraid because he really can’t secure it to the ground while it is frozen and we have these everlasting strong eastern winds 🙂

I made plum jam the other day and I still have those berries I picked last summer. So I started writing a list on what I need to buy next time I go to a grocery store. I need to buy something we call jam-sugar. It’s regular sugar but also has pectin in it already. It comes in 1 kg packets so I also need to buy some more fruits or berries so I have enough for 1 kg of sugar. I’m not sure the peaches they sell now taste anything, blueberries  are never wrong but hardy kiwi is rather nice as well but expensive. I can of course by frozen berries, it wouldn’t matter if they thawed on the way hone since it only takes a few minutes to make the jam anyway.

I wonder what animal lives here? This hole is only a few days old.

It is time for that last cup of tea and later on I might watch the opening of the Olympic Games, or go to bed 🙂 I had a cup of Trea earlier today and wished I had something to eat, like a bun. Then suddenly I said to myself that it sounds as if the ice cream lorry is going down the road and it was 🙂 🙂 🙂 So now I have lots of ice cream in the freezer 🙂

I keep telling myself that at least the electricity will be on the less expensive side but it doesn’t help any more 🙂 🙂 I guess I would mind less if the wind at least changed direction so it doesn’t reach my home but it will mostly stay the same with the exception of two days when it will either blow from north or south before going back to east or north-east. The day with south blowing winds we’ll also most likely get lots of snow, perhaps well over 10 cm (4 inches or more).I also tell myself that we’ll at least will have fewer ticks and moose flies since the ground has been able to deep freeze since there’s no or very little snow on the ground, that doesn’t help either 🙂 🙂

If the wind would just come a tiny bit more towards the north it wouldn’t reach my home.

We did have sunshine on our morning walk but the wind, unlike yesterday morning, was nasty and bitterly cold. So we walked out to my favourite island in the bog and walked on the west south of it. No wind there but the sound from it sort of made me feel like it still reached us. Lots of animals had been hiding amongst the lower spruces so they were both covered from the world and also the wind if it should change direction. So even if we couldn’t see any we instead heard them run away just in case we were dangerous. It was most likely wild hogs but we do have lots of Fallow deer and Red deer there.

Yesterday I had brought out frozen plums from the freezer. They came from my neighbours mother and they were close to become over ripe so I tossed them in the freezer until I knew what to do with them. So this morning I made a lot of plum jam 🙂 I think one can make the jam with them still having the kernels inside, I’ve heard that it will give a better taste but I don’t know, who wants to pick those away after spreading jam on pancakes or in a cake? It took its time to remove them 🙂 As You might know by now we swedes love cardamom in every cake, cookie and pastry we make so I added some cardamom to it 🙂 The jam is delicious, well according to my taste 🙂 and I might use it to more things than just pancakes 🙂

The Olympics starts tonight and it starts with curling, mixed double I think it was. Curling is a great sport to watch. Very little happens so if one needs to do something else for a while it will most likely be exactly the same when coming back 🙂 🙂 🙂 It can also ve very exciting when the game sort of weights between the teams. One stone can change the entire outcome and seeing it slowly, slowly coming closer to the markings and no knowing if it is fast enough, slow enough or just perfect can destroy the strongest of stomachs 🙂 🙂 🙂 If one didn’t have a gastric ulcer before a game like that one most likely will have one after 🙂 🙂 🙂

It is time to make a pot of tea and perhaps I’ll have a roll with it as well. The monster has been angry all night and morning because I refused to let her out in to the cold night yesterday. I know she most likely would have stayed in the dog house but I still didn’t want her out there in this weather.

Wind, wind and wind.

We have had sunshine almost all day today. It’s nice but it doesn’t warm up especially much.

 

We were lucky this morning that the wind didn’t blow at all, it started as soon as we had come home though. It. looks like a high pressure is stuck in its position and either refuse or can’t move along like any descent pressure would have done long ago. Instead it just stays and we’re stuck with nasty cold winds from an eastern direction. Have I told You that I truly hate winter? 🙂 🙂

-11C (12,2F as coldest last night, a clear sky so I could see the full moon shining up there. Well the sun shone and the moon reflected So I guess no vampires were out but then again I guess they would rather starve than being outside in those temperatures 🙂 🙂 Also would werewolves run. around on cold nights like this? Our werewolves looks different to what they seem to do elsewhere in the world. Our looks exactly like normal wolves but are almost white and really don’t care about what phase the moon is in. Also most often they become werewolves of free will because of troubles they might have. All our wolves are grey so if one white would be seen we will know that it isn’t a normal wolf 🙂 🙂

I was looking around in my garden just now after the dogs had had their dinner. The Pawpaws have frozen a lot and I’m not surprised since it did fall down to -22C (-7,6F) for a couple of nights and the cold wind isn’t a helper to be honest. It also looks like some of my hardy Kiwi vines have as well. The pear seedling trees looks ok though, there was so much snow at the same time that they were protected from the worst cold. I didn’t look at the English walnut though and it looks like at least one of my mulberry trees is ok. The apricots all look fine but I was never worried about them, apricots are really hardy and the problem with them is that they tend to flower so early in spring that any late frost destroyed and chance of getting fruits.

I wonder who lives here? My guess is water voles.

I think I have a cold again. My nose is stuffed when I wake up and I’m freezing even though I sit beside a radiator. One of my neighbours daughter also has a cold and it is winter so I’m not surprised. It is rather mild though so I don’t whine about it too much 🙂 🙂 The only thing I do whine about is that it is winter and that I truly hate it 🙂 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day. I might have a bowl with cornflakes with a sliced banana, banana yogurt and some cinnamon in it as well 🙂

Windy and cold all day but I did see a little patch of blue sky when we went out on our morning walk. I had been to the supermarket before we went out though to buy yeast. I tried baking soda bread but I’m never good at it, plus don’t eat too much soda bread because it destroys all vitamin b and that’s something we don’t want to have too little of. After that I went to the dollar store to buy bird seeds, they are so much c cheaper than any other store and before going home I went to the pet store to buy two small fish, Siamese algae eaters.

The wind is horrible and it really drains the life out of us but it does make the electricity bill less expensive since the wind power plants works like crazy 🙂 We managed to keep away from most of the wind by walking in the forest though. It sounded like we scared away a lot of animals  when we walked out to the bog, mostly wild hogs I guess because they’ve been working hard to get down in to the ground to find something to eat.

We had been at home just a short while when my neighbour called and said that I shouldn’t let the dogs out because we had a visitor in the garden. So I took a look and indeed we had 🙂 A beautiful Roe deer was walking around eating what it could find on the ground. It felt so safe that it eventually just laid down and fell asleep 🙂 The garden must smell an awful lot of dog so I wonder why it felt so safe here? perhaps we have a wolf here again and even if it smells of dog here it still felt more safe than having a wolf coming too close?

I eventually had to go outside and tell it to leave since the dogs needed to go outside 🙂 So it trotted away, jumped over the fence and walked towards the cow pasture instead. It might come back tonight again because I think it has been hanging around for some time now, the dogs always run around the fence and garden like crazy when they go outside and early this morning Alma barked at something outside the fence. It did look as it had much to eat here as well, it stayed in the garden for well over five hours 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea and I’ll also have a roll I just baked now when I finally can leave the tries to bake soda bread 🙂

A very polite hunting dog :-)

Today would have been so great if it hadn’t been for the biting cold eastern wind. The sun has been shining all day and if the wind has been coming from almost any other direction my garden would have been wind free, instead it has hit us hard all day except for in the morning when we had our morning walk 🙂

A fox and a hare have been walking on the frozen creek.

Alma tried really hard to behave and I think she would have been really successful in doing so if it hadn’t been for that hunting dog 🙂 It isn’t that long ahead in the future that Alma will be in heat, in fact I think she just might have started and he was smooch more interested in her than any hunt 🙂 🙂 🙂  I have to say that he was very polite and kind though, he started by greeting Malkolm and then Alma. Alma was very happy to meet him as well but when he showed a bit too much interest she barked at him and he walked away.

Not for long though, he returned a few more times with the same result from Alma and the guy knew he wouldn’t stand a chance today 🙂 🙂 🙂 Alma was a bit all over the place after that for quite some time but eventually she did calm down. It wasn’t any from “our” hunting guys so I guess he must have come from the castles grounds. So since the hunting season continues until late February (wild hogs and foxes can be hunted longer though) this might happen again 🙂 and as long as the dogs are as polite as this one there’ll be no problems from me 🙂

I checked the web site that sold those heart nuts to me and they said the heart nuts must spend two months in cold surroundings, so I brought five pots outside to the green house, the sixth one is still sort of semi floating but I’ll give it a couple of days more to sink down before I bring that one outside as well. Normally I sow seeds that needs a cold period in damp paper and put them in a plastic bag and in to the fridge but these are so big that I for once put them in soil directly. This was good news for me because it gave me so much space to place other seeds I’ve sown (walnuts of any kind need high and deep pots because of their taproots and it’s really important not to disturb those roots or break them.

So now I’m thinking of sowing melons, I’ve already sown tomato seeds, Tamarillo, guava and two different Passionfruit seeds and I also have Chinese dogwood in a plastic bag waiting plus raisin tree seeds in the fridge. I’ve always failed with melon seeds because they do need a greenhouse to grow here but I’ve tried them in the sunniest and warmer spot I have outside but as I said always failed. Now I have that greenhouse so if I fail this time I will give up 🙂 🙂 🙂 Well it is time for that last cup of tea for the day and after that the Swedish part of the Eurovision Song Contest will start today. I don’t have high hopes since they rather tend too have famous YouTubers, tiktokers and anything else than trying to have good artists competing.

I haven’t seen my neighbours chickens in weeks because they refuse to go outside if they don’t like the weather 🙂

I’ve picked up my car.

So they texted me long after they had closed that my car was fixed. I didn’t mind since I had the car I could borrow anyway so I went there this morning to pick it up. The exhaust pipe wasn’t broken thankfully but the seals where the different parts of the exhaust fume pipes were stuck together had given up so they just put in new ones. So it didn’t cost an arm and a leg, just an arm 🙂 🙂 So a new spring for the front wheel, two bulbs and the seals costed around $ 900 US ( tricky to know exactly at the moment since the US $ has lost so much value lately but somewhere around there I would guess).

So I paid without crying 🙂 🙂 and went out to my car. It was so slow, like driving in fudge. The guy who had repaired my car had mashed a rookie mistake, never use the handbrake on a French car during winter 🙂 🙂 🙂 It will freeze stuck and must be brought inside to be knocked off the brake disc 🙂 🙂 Only took a few minutes and now the handbrake will rest until this winter is over 🙂 🙂 🙂 I stopped twice on my way home, once at a big grocery store in Falköping to get some jam for pancakes I’ll make later and a second time to pick up a parcel.

I have an incinerator toilet, no water used in it with other words, and need paper bags where everything goes before I “flush” the toilet so everything drops down and gets burned in a very high temperature. The odd thing is that the chimney from it just gets lukewarm. I’ve never been able to figure out how they can cool down that hot air so good that I only need to have a plastic chimney. It works and that’s the only thing that matters 🙂

I’ve started to sow those heart nuts now and went online to check something about the sowing. I never look at the AI suggestions google put at the top of every search but something caught my eye. AI said the nuts was supposed to be placed warm?! That’s not what I’ve learned.So I went out into the wonderful world called internet and finally had to admit that I might be wrong about keeping them cold before they germinate. The places I found said keep warm, so now I’ll keep them warm for a couple of weeks to see if anything will happen. There are always easy to remember general rules when it comes to sowing. If the seeds comes in early summer they’ll need warm weather to germinate, if they come in autumn they’ll need a period of cold.

There’s always exceptions to this rule and some seeds can work both ways. So if a seeds falls to the ground but surroundings aren’t good they can lie all summer and wait for next spring and germinate when there’s enough water and warmth, but it’ll then only work if they’ve gone through a cold period and not been collected and stayed indoors all winter. Some should have it warm but just refuse to germinate anyway and then a cold period will help them to start and vice versa . So I’ll keep these nuts warm as I wrote for a few weeks and see what will happen, we still have much winter ahead of us unfortunately.

I had to drive to the garage early this morning so they could fix the problems the car had and clear it so I can drive around with it legally 🙂 I was there just after 7 am and picked up the car I could have while waiting for mine. It is a small Opel of some kind and to my very big surprise I actually understood how it works 🙂 🙂 It had a real key and everything showed clearly what I had to do to make it work, like the heating system. I’m used to French cars and that’s not always the case in them 🙂 🙂 🙂

We walked down to the bog two days ago.

We never went out for a walk because I didn’t know when they would text me telling me my car was ready. They close at 4:15 pm and no message, it did come at 5:30 pm though 🙂 The dogs and I were in the garden as much as possible though. I  actually dared to have them in the cottage while I was away, Alma never intentionally brakes anything but she’s big and clumsy so one never knows 🙂 It worked well though, I think they mostly had been sleeping by the door waiting for me to come home. Since the text I got after Malcolm’s surgery said he mustn’t sit or lie on the ground until after ten days (eight days today) so the risk of getting an infection was minimised, the dog house/ yard/ old garage wasn’t really an option.

Absolutely nothing has happened here these last days, even the walks have been a bit dull to be honest and the sunshine we were supposed to have never showed up, instead we had snow falling 🙂 🙂 It snowed all day but I really can’t see where it landed 🙂  The only fun thing that has happened was that the heart walnuts arrived in the mail today. They’ll be soaking in water until tomorrow at least. Normally the rule is that if they keep on floating for more than four days they’ll never germinate. I say normally because a couple of years ago I bought Pawpaw seeds that were so dry I thought they never would start to grow, some seeds were floating for well over a week. I sowed the seeds as soon as they had sunk and never thought I would get anything, all seeds germinated?! Anyhow, the walnuts need a cold period before they start to grown so when they’ve sunken down in the water I’ll put them in separate pots and place them in the greenhouse.

By the way, do You remember that I found two seeds in the Kaki fruits I bought (less hardy relatives to the Persimmon tree)? Well they have started to grow and soon They’ll show leafs 🙂 They will become a big problem in the future because these can not grow outside here, so I’ll have to have them in pots and bring them down in to the cool cellar. I must figure out a way to be able to bring them down without killing anything if I drop them because they’ll need big pots after a while 🙂 🙂

And to the creek yesterday.

It is time for a cup of tea and I’m wondering if they want the car I borrowed when they open the garage tomorrow or if I can wait so the sgrocery store in Gudhem opens so I can pick up a parcel on my way home?

I’ve noticed that the monster spends a lot of time in the doghouse/ yard/ garage.

I was so tired when. I woke up this morning around 5 am that after the dogs had been outside I went back to the bed and slept for two more hours, that’s very unusual for me. Normally I just gets up and starts with the food for us all. I would have guessed that I had a cold but no it doesn’t feel like that at all. Perhaps I had nice dreams and wanted to continue with them but I almost never remember what I’ve been dreaming about so I don’t know 🙂

WordPress is acting weird lately, I can only write and post something if I do it in edit mode 🙂 🙂 Have no clue to why but this works as well. So it has continued to snow all night and day and with big flakes but looking at the ground I’ll say we might have gotten two fifths of an inch as most. Almost no wind so the snow hasn’t drifted away with the gusts. There were lots of tracks from different animals and I could see that we’ve had Roe deers passing by the cottage. Also the wild hogs have been almost everywhere but thankfully not close to our homes.

cars have been passing my cottage after it has become dark so I guess there might be hunters out in the forest tonight and when they are here at nights it’s because of wild hogs.  Alma and Malkolm don’t like them so if some are gone our walks will be easier I think. Malkolm have been without the cone of shame for a couple of hours and has behaved really well 🙂 They said that he isn’t allowed to clean himself  ten to twelve days after the surgery but surely the wound should be healed enough after a week? Can’t remember they ever was that strict with all the other dogs I’ve had here.

We might actually have some sunshine both tomorrow and on Tuesday! After that the stronger winds will come back and of course they won’t come from south but north to east. Always nasty winds when they are from east or northeast  except during the summer half year because then they come from the continent where summers can be nasty hot and then I’ll complain about them again 🙂 It is time for that last cup of tea but I’ve had enough to eat today so it’ll just be the tea 🙂

Snowy day.

It has been snowing here all day but it barely shows on the ground. I’m not happy about it but I feel I really can’t complain about it since there are places in the US that will have it so much worse. According to the weather sites the temperatures will stay as they are now for at least ten days and sometimes we’ll get snow and sometimes sunshine. Almost no wind here now but it’ll come back next Wednesday till Friday they’re guessing.

 

Today was nice though, despite the snow falling. Almost no wind but I chose to walk in the forest and out to the bog anyway. We could hear animals moving away from us but I never saw any. I wouldn’t say that Malkolm is especially bothered by the cone but I can see the difference in mood when we go out for a walk and he doesn’t need to wear it. I’ve had to calm both him and Alma down because they play a bit rough in the garden and I can see they think I’m sooo boring 🙂 🙂

 

Nothing much has happened here, the only thing I’ve done is to put some pork chops in the oven, boil a few potatoes and made a mushroom sauce, I have to say the sauce was the best of it all 🙂 :-)I had bought a big pack of chops so I’ll need to put some of them back in the freezer.  A neighbour, well his mother is still a neighbour even though he has moved away, texted me yesterday evening and gave me 3-4 cubic meters of fire wood if I wanted. His mother doesn’t use firewood any more and he had more than enough where he lives now, so it’s time to make some space in the wood shed. No panic though because I can bring it home when I want. The space making can start now but I can bring home the fire wood when it gets warmer again. I’ll use my big wheel barrow (two wheeled) when it is time.

I think I’ll start with the sowing of Tamarillo seeds tomorrow. I really like that fruit and used to grow it when I lived in an apartment in Gothenburg. The plant itself smells like come and help me to die (Swedish expression 🙂 ) but the fruits are delicious. I’ll also need to see what tomato seeds I’ll sow, I think I mostly will skip the vines varieties and instead go for the ones growing like a bush and perhaps have a few in the ground instead of in the green house but I will of course have a few vines too in the green house. I do hope we’ll have an early and warm spring this year otherwise I’ll be in trouble 🙂 🙂 🙂

Nasty wind and sowing season has started :-)

Same nasty wind as yesterday but from a slightly different angle, south east this time and that made the walk so much nicer since it couldn’t reach us most of the way. Still not especially fun weather and both Alma and Malkolm pulled their leashes almost all the way. Well it could have been worse I guess.

After removing the old microwave oven yesterday I have been continuing to clean and declutter my kitchen counter, it was really needed already long ago 🙂 I have to stop temporarily because I need a new bib plastic sack to throw most of what’s on the counter away. No it isn’t hysterically much but I’m waiting for a door food sack to be emptied and I do need to throw other things away as well 🙂

While cleaning up I realised why it was so cold by the little window. The insulation list must have either become worn out which I doubt or it have broken somehow at the bottom of the window. I do have several potted plants standing there so I couldn’t feel the flow of cold air coming in through there. I don’t have any at home so instead I duct taped the window all the way at the bottom of it. Didn’t take long before it felt much warmer and nicer again.

Somewhere beneath that ice and snow there’s a metallic bridge, I didn’t trust that is for a second so we took a detour 🙂

I found the name of two of the cacti/ succulent seeds I found behind the microwave. One is for leaf cacti and the other one is some sort of agave. There’s a number on each little paper bag so I had to go through 44 pages with 48 species/ varieties to find them 🙂 🙂 The three left I’ll assume are cacti and I’ll wait trying to sow them until it is much warmer outside. I have however started to sow Two species of edible passionfruits, a Chinese dogwood, Japanese raisin tree and also lots of Guava seeds. The guava trees I had I killed last winter by over watering them and also keeping them in the cool  cellar, they didn’t like that at all. I’ll also sow seeds from a pink dandelion I once had, well it wasn’t totally pink, it had a yellow center and the rest of the flower was pink.

I guess that normal dandelion seeds would germinate no matter how old they are but this species isn’t that tough, the last ones only lasted three years before they gave up but I’ll give them a chance anyway. I have more seeds I also bought five Heart seed walnuts (Juglans ailantifolia cordiformis) that needs some time in cold weather to start growing. I don’t know why I keep on sowing walnuts because I really have no space for them 🙂 🙂 🙂 I already have a black walnut tree and an English walnut tree, well tree is too much to call it but it is alive and if it makes through this winter I guess it’ll survive in the long run as well 🙂  ) The one moving here the day I’m gone will have some interesting days to figure out all what I have or it’ll be someone who just will cut it all down 🙂 :-).

It is time for a pot of tea and a French roll I think. The last of the meat sauce was eaten today and now I have pork chops slowly thawing in the fridge. It was cheap and a big pack so either I’ll have the same dinner the coming eight days or I’ll have to put some of them in the freezer 🙂

Ravens passed above us and all at the same direction, I guess an animal must have lost its life.
