The temperature never rose above 12C (53,6F) today and I think that if I hadn’t known it will rise up to 20C (68F) already tomorrow it would have annoyed me quite a bit 🙂 but I have to say it did feel rather nice despite it also raining well in to the afternoon. We needed this, both this chilly day and the rain.

We started our morning walk a bit late today because I hoped it would stop raining. It wasn’t anything but a nice gentle summer rain but Alma, Malkolm and the Monster really don’t like having walks in the rain. It was mostly misty rain when we did go out but that changed several times before we finally came back home, we even hid beneath the big branches of a big spruce for a while 🙂 I was surprised that the Monster decided to follow us just because of the rain and she showed already from the beginning that she was in a bad mood 🙂

For being such a small cat she sure can shout loud 🙂 Every time she thought we walked to fast she shouted, every time she wanted to wander in to the forest to check something she shouted until we stopped and she could investigate 🙂 The shouting didn’t end until we came back home again. Alma wasn’t fun either to be honest, for the first time in a long time she whined a lot and it wasn’t until we were at the end of the road I realised that all birds that had been tweeting all the way suddenly were quiet. That’s usually a sign that a big predator is close by, all birds get quiet and all other animals do what they can to not make any sound what so ever. So I guess a wolf was nearby or perhaps a lynx.

The day has been rather busy, I’ve done two loads of laundry, made dinner for work, vacuumed the entire cottage plus my car, baked bread and showered Malkolm. It was when I vacuumed the car I noticed that I couldn’t find Malkolm, Alma was right beside me so I called for him and he came running back down the road after visiting the farm. He has no wish to actually visit the farm itself but he had found some poor animal with very bad stomach. He smelled awful and he knows he isn’t allowed to do this and also knows I will bring him in to the shower dead or alive 🙂 🙂 Why on earth do they do that when they know the price for doing it is what they hate the most 🙂 🙂 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day, I’ll make enough so that I can just heat up what’s left tomorrow morning so I can have it for breakfast. I’ll also write a list so I know what I need to buy at the grocery store and don’t buy what I want instead 🙂

I removed the fence I had here because the hardy Kiwi vines died this winter. Now it’ll be a circle made with Black currant bushes and a cherry dogwood.
