I have to admit that I was happy to see the fog this morning, ok it was pretty dark but I had the flashlight on and it didn’t reach far 🙂 Fog is the second favourite weather for me so I didn’t even care about how cold it was. The only problem is that if the sun rise the fog tends to evaporate fairly quickly but it stayed for long enough during our morning walk. On cloudy days however fog can stay all day long.

We walked down to the creek and today we saw three deer walking on the opposite side of a field. They are a bit skittish now days since it is hunting season plus that fact that they now have learned what wolfs are. Anything looking the slightest similar turns on their alarm bells. It was a really nice walk and would have been much better if Alma hadn’t decided she would whine all the way round. Lately she has begun to sound like the fan in the car that every now and again starts to squeak and it is annoying as h..l 🙂

I really don’t like below 0C (32F) temperatures but unlike later walks in the afternoon no moose flies or ticks hung around. later in the day I had to remove lots of moose flies from Albin, they had come as far as removing their wings and trying to dig down into his fur. Nasty critters but I have noticed this year that a few seems to understand that they haven’t landed on a moose and flown away again before trying to find a place to bite.

I failed while baking bread today, at least sort of. I’m trying that Japanese way to first boil some of the flour in either water or milk and then add it (cooled down) to the dough. That part worked fine but the bread had troubles rising, so I now have two rather compact loafs but they are still soft and not brick like like they do when not rising properly 🙂 🙂 I realised I only bake one kind of bread, either as French rolls /teacakes or loafs, so today I ordered a book with lots of recipes on gluten free breads, even sour dough breads. To be honest I’m not especially in to sour dough but it is nice to eat every once in a while.

It is time to make another pot with tea. I drink way too much tea at the moment but then again I am at home all day long 🙂 I’ve also noticed that my brain doesn’t get that tired while reading any more 🙂 Ever since I had covid long ago my brain hasn’t had the energy to read any longer parts of any text but a couple of days ago I noticed that I can read several chapters without wanting to give up 🙂 I’ve always loved reading and I used to be able to read all night sometimes and even though I might not do that again it is really nice to know I might be able to do it again 🙂

Have a great day!
