Much nicer morning today, around the same temperature but much less humidity. We started walking just after the sun had risen above the mountains up east. I really wanted to walk down to the creek and walk it up stream but it did sound as if the cattle still were there where they were yesterday. We did meet some of them but just as we did the rest of the heard started calling after them so they walked away, well they did want to check us out first and I could see that Malkjom was a bit stressed when they came closer.

It was so nice with the sun shining and almost no wind blowing. It was easy to open up those electric fence wires since the cattle had walked elsewhere and I could hear cranes flying south. Well they might just have flown to the lake in the bog because some of them stay for longer now days. They tend to arrive earlier as well now days, there’s a lack of good nesting places so the first to come are the first to chose 🙂

Both Alma and Malkolm behaved so well on the walk that I thought they deserved to have a longer walk than usual. Alma stopped whining quite early on in the walk and Malkolm seemed to understand why I scolded him during the walk yesterday 🙂 He has a tendency to pull the leash all the time, not especially hard but constantly so by the time we’re back home again my shoulder and arm feels a bit stretched.

After that we’ve done very little, I’ve done the laundry and brought in more plants to the cool cellar and I’m just about to put in some newly baked French rolls in the oven. Tomorrow I’ll start my new hours, shift hours. So next week I’ll work from 5:41 am till 2 pm. A bit early perhaps but it could be worse. The week after that I’ll start working at 1:50 pm till 00:00 (or should I write 12 pm?) and have a four day work week. I really can’t even pretend that I like that but I need a job so I’ll have to do it anyway. Thankfully the two shift periods are fairly short, a month or two at a time they said, so I think I’ll survive it 🙂

Have a great day!
