We didn’t have frost last night and neither did we have any fog, at least I don’t think so. For once I woke two hours later than usual so I can’t say for sure that no fog ever showed up here. We went out on our morning walk as soon as the sun had risen just above the mountains up north, there was a bit of mist in the cow pasture on the other side of the gravel road but that evaporated as soon as it warmed up some.

We went out to the bog and it was cool enough to keep most of the insects still active calm, well except for a couple of moose flies. It seems that not even heavy frost kills those nasty things 🙂 I didn’t find a single tick on the dogs though so at least they know when to save their energy 🙂 almost all leafs are now changing colours, mostly yellow but some have fiery red or bright orange leafs. Won’t take long now until all leafs are gone again. Not all bad because suddenly I’ll be able to see what’s behind the vegetation, now it’s like walking between walls of green and when hearing something moving behind the green one can only guess what it is, soon We’ll be able to see it as well 🙂

I did the laundry as soon as we came back home, the sun was shining towards the south cottage wall so I was able to dry it pretty quickly. I did hang some on the north side of the cottage as well and realised that it wasn’t especially warm at all in the shadows. After that I mowed the grass outside the cottage and the grass (and all other vegetation, like stinging nettles) were so wet that I had to turn the mower upside down and dig out all the green gunk sticking to the sides in the mower. Now it’s done and even though I do hope for a warm winter I still hope this was the last time I had to mow this year 🙂

More and more potted plants are now moved down in to the cool cellar. Almost all small citrus trees are there, I brought in the Tea bush as well. My problem now is that I don’t have enough with plant saucers big enough for the bigger trees. So I need to order that plus I suddenly remembered that I some time ago ordered tulip bulbs and they arrived this week so now I need to put them in the ground as well. The thing I never seems to understand is why I order bulbs? I truly hate digging them down 🙂 🙂 still I order new ones every year. These are wild tulips so they will come back every year, the big flashy ones are so hard driven that they tend to be annuals. I’ve understood that the trick to make them survive longer is to fertilise them silly and keep on doing that for a couple of years. Wild tulips are so much easier, just dig them down and forget about them 🙂

I think it is time to feed the dogs, make a pot of tea, dig down those bulbs and after that just sit down, relax, have some tea and some ice cream 🙂
