I think it was supposed to rain all afternoon but so far I think the worst we’ve had is some light drizzling 🙂 Well the weekend is young so there’s plenty of time for that rain to start falling. I just took a look at those weather sites and they’ve decided that the rain most likely won’t arrive until tomorrow night and it will continue in to Sunday morning. We’re having the election for a new parliament on Sunday so I wouldn’t be surprised if the rain will pour down then 🙂

It looks like it will be a very even result again. Last time the right won with the support of our fascist party (the right side has two more totes in the parliament than the left side has), this time it does look like the other side might win. If the right side win the fascists will become part of the government and I really don’t like that but they aren’t cooperating especially well at the moment. The left side isn’t cooperating at all so it will be pretty tricky to form a government if they do win. We’ll all know better on late Sunday or early Monday who got the most votes.

The dogs and I walked down to the creek today. Not many flies hanging around, the ones that were seems to have stayed by the road when an animal had crossed it. I didn’t see anything but the dogs were excited at a few places, I guess they could smell that an animal just has passed, and that was also where the few flies flew around. I could see lots of mushrooms though, some edible but others most certainly were not 🙂

The puffball are showing up now as well. I always laugh a little when I see them because one could say much about my mother but she wasn’t an especially good cook 🙂 She did however like to fry puffballs, they are edible as long as they are small and white. The odd thing is that she always said they tasted like bacon?! I could never feel it but then again she was a heavy smoker for a big part of her life so I guessed her taste buds had given up 🙂 But then she claimed that lots of other things tasted just like bacon and some things just didn’t make sense, like fish for instance. Turned out that she always saved the fat when she fried bacon and then used it to anything else she wanted to fry 🙂 🙂 🙂 Well it did at least make her eat things she never liked before 🙂 🙂

I was supposed to bring a basket to pick mushrooms on our walk today but I didn’t remember it until I felt that it was too late to go back and fetch it. I hope I’ll remember it tomorrow instead. I also hope I can find the basket but I can bring something else like a cooler bag or something.

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and I bought a packet with Digestives today and a Brie, that’s a nice combination 🙂
