The day started misty and cool and turned to foggy after a while and after that we’ve had mostly sunshine and around 20C (68F) all day long 🙂 We walked down to the creek and followed it down-stream a while before we turned towards home again. Everything was soaking wet after yesterdays rain so I was pretty sure I wouldn’t find any ticks on the dogs after arriving to our home again.

What was even better was that not a single fly was out on an excursion trying to annoy as 🙂 We were a bit late so I was pretty sure that we wouldn’t see anything else than perhaps birds today, so I was a bit surprised when we suddenly scared away two Roe deer down by the creek. It’s not like we ever walk in silence, that’s impossible when walking with Alma 🙂 🙂 so I really don’t understand that they hadn’t already fled in to the forest by the time we arrived to them 🙂

I haven’t done much for the rest of the day, two loads of laundry and I made pasta sauce in the slow cooker, using some of the tomato sauce I made the other day. It was a bit weak so I added some extra spices and it turned out rather well. I’ll have that for dinner at work and I might have some already later today 🙂

I should have had a nap again today but I never came around to it and now I feel it’s a bit too late if I want to be able to fall asleep tonight. I have a cup of tea by my side and after this I’ll go outside so I can enjoy the nice weather. It doesn’t look like the coming week will be especially warm or sunny. Rain will fall according to those sites and I’m not complaining about that, the ground is bone dry 30 cm (12 inch) down so more rain is needed. I still support watering all smaller trees I planted this spring.

I think it is time to refill my cup of tea and it feels like it would be right to make another apple crumble pie and have it with vanilla custard 🙂
