Heavy showers and thunder.

This spider lives at one of the kitchen windows, looks more scary than she actually is 🙂

So we were supposed to have rain all day today so I wasn’t the least surprised that the sun shone here for several hours. The rain did come after a while though and how it rained 🙂 Heavy showers and thunder for quite some time and the temperature dropped down to 12C (53,6F). It isn’t much warmer now though to be honest but tomorrow will be sunny and nice again.

The morning started with a light fog though and since that is a favourite weather of mine I liked it a lot. It didn’t stay for long though, I think we had managed to walk 100 meters (much the same in yards) when the rain started to fall, a light nice autumn rain, and the fog thinned out fast. The rain and the somewhat chilly air kept away almost all flies though, just almost because one moose fly did find us, nasty things but just one is easier to remove. I didn’t see a single animal, not even a bird but the dogs must have because suddenly they behaved really excited and wouldn’t have noticed if so the world ended in a bang 🙂 🙂

I had slept really well during the night but I was still so tired after the walk that I went to my bed and had a long nap. I did wake up for a short while thinking that it was over for this time, I think it was one of the dogs that did something to wake me up. So I was quite surprised realising that I had fallen asleep again. Can’t say I was that much less tired to be honest 🙂 🙂

I decided to make a one portion apple crumble pie and at the same time I had a few French rolls rising and as soon as the pie was ready in went the rolls. They do taste really nice but they didn’t rise especially much. Too much flour is my guess. Besides that I really haven’t done much, mostly because I didn’t feel like it but also because of the heavy showers and the thunder 🙂

I haven’t checked the wild cam today to see if Doris the badger has visited us lately. I think that both me walking around in the garden with a light and my neighbour driving down the road made her change her plans yesterday evening. I could see how the lights around the dog yard/ house suddenly turned on so my guess is that she was on her way but instead went down in to thew cow pasture.

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day, I don’t have anything to eat with it. No ice cream and the pie is long gone and I’ve already eaten too much so a French roll is out of the question, but a good tea doesn’t need a companion 🙂

Have a great day!
