Really nice weather despite strong winds, cloudy sky and rain on the way :-)

There are still trees without leafs. I have a few in my garden and I did start to wonder if they might have died during the winter.

It’s rather nice outdoors even though clouds cover the sun rather a lot and a strong wind blowing. The wind however is warm and nice and most of the wind are stopped by my neighbours cottage and garage 🙂 Rain is on its way they say so I’ve planted more of my cabbage seedlings and covered them with garden fleece.

Thankfully it’s not even close to how warm the newspapers screamed it would be, the French heat was on its way they said, well it thankfully must have been stopped somewhere because here it’s just enough warm to make it feel nice 🙂 My thermometer says 23,8C (74,84F) and that’s just enough for me 🙂

The Swedish Whitebeam,Scandosorbus intermedia. It actually originates from Sweden and then it slowly spread to other places around the Baltic sea. A favourite of mine and I would like to have it in my garden.

We did have a sunny and cool morning and it gave me a problem how to dress best for a morning walk.I had a fleece sweater on and as long as we walked in the shadow it was perfect but way too warm for the sunshine 🙂 I need the pockets though so I can bring dog treats and the phone with me. I better get a pair of cargo pants so that it will be enough to wear a t-shirt. I also better get a long sleeved t-shirt for when the flies arrive. They usually only fly around the head but the biting ones will love a short sleeved t-shirt 🙂 🙂

We saw lots of deer and birds today and I think the dogs may have seen a squirrel as well because they were suddenly very excited but I must have missed it. I must say that Alma has behaved really well lately, she still pulls the leash but much less hard and the whining usually stops as soon as we’ve passed the old stable. Even when we managed to get really close to the roe deer they both behaved really well. Oh how I wish this is a sign for the future so that my shoulders finally can get some rest.

I was thinking of sowing beans today but I realised that I’ve used most of the vegetable garden and the new area where the old rose grew. There’s a space close to the fence towards my neighbours but I was thinking of sowing parsnips there. After this I’ll go outside and try to figure out what to do 🙂 Would be perfect to do it before the rain though. I guess I can try and make space somewhere else in the garden but the dogs must be able to run around as much as they like without hearing me shouting at them for trampling dow my vegetables 🙂 🙂 🙂

It is time for a pot of tea and then out in to the garden. My neighbours asked me if I wanted them to buy something since they’ll go to the supermarket later on. I really didn’t need anything but decided a big soda and a chocolate bar would be nice to have later today 🙂 🙂

    In the first few photos, what was that big pile of sticks the deer was standing next to? Who stacked them up like that, and why were they attempting to cover the pile?

    The weather here today and yesterday has been in the mid-60sF, gray and drizzly, my favorite type of day. I don’t have to worry about sunburn, and my moss really needs the rain. I want to see if it brings back those crunchy teal-colored patches.

    The weeds are getting a bit tall, but it’s too wet for my yard guy to mow, so they’ll probably be growing for another week. He could really cut my yard with a weed whacker rather than a lawn mower.

      Hi catsworking!

      Those are the tops of trees and the trees that were just too small to use for other things so they’ll be made more or less in to saw dust and then they press it all together to make fire pellets. Used to be a great way to heat up homes but then they got greedy and made them so expensive that people don’t buy them any more 🙂 🙂 The cover is there so it dries up, they het payed by weight so if the trees are wet they’re so heavy that the forest companies don’t buy it.

      Mostly sunny but thin clouds have covered the sky every now and again. Just enough warm as well, just above 68F.
      Lets hope this helps the moss!
      Always that problem with too wet grass/ weeds so they can’t mow it and the problem is they never seem to dry up 🙂
