We went out on our morning walk quite early today, so that it wasn’t too warm to wear a fleece sweater when the sun reached me. We saw a couple of roe deer and the sound of the cuckoo birds echoed all over the area. The Monster decided that she would follow us on the walk today and every now and again she left us to make a detour of her own.

She wasn’t happy big parts of the walk though, there was something in the forest she really didn’t like, my guess a fox or the wild hogs. Her fur rose up and she sort of was in attack mode lots of times. Could of course be another cat but I’ve only seen my neighbours cats close to the forest and she seems to accept them when ever they meet.

So that’s was why I was so surprised when she suddenly wasn’t close to us or answered when I called for her. Well she’s a cat and does as she likes so nothing much I could do about it. She did return to us later on though at almost the exact same place she left us 🙂 I guess she might have been interested in the squirrels who live there. Our squirrels are so shy so they don’t come to our cottages so I’m pretty sure she’s never seen any of them.

I’ve done very little today, well I did some laundry and watered the vegetables. I also moved some small perennials to a flower bed I really haven’t cared for in years. I planted Siberian catmint (the Swedish name for it is Big dragon flower) and it took over the entire flowerbed and other places as well 🙂 So I’ve removed as much of the root system as possible and needed to put something else there instead but that’s it.

Personally I would have loved to stay in bed today but the dogs insisted that we should go outside to greet the morning and all what it promised to be 🙂 I guess it was a deer walking in the garden they heard and wanted to investigate it. I saw the deer in the cow pasture later on when we went out on our walk. There’s usually three of them but two has slimmed and are probably taking care of their young ones but the third still hasn’t any baby and walks around in the cow pasture come to the forest.

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and after that it’s time to watch the last Antique road show for the season.
