A storm will arrive on Sunday.

My cottage smells of apple pie and cardamom and I don’t really know why 🙂 I baked a couple of loafs and the smell comes from the oven but there was nothing in there that could give that smell 🙂 It is nice though so I’m not complaining 🙂 There’s a risk however that it might make me want to bake another one 🙂 🙂

Much nicer weather here today, mostly sunny with a few clouds passing by every now and again. I wish it would be the same tomorrow and the weather sites do say some sunshine but late in the day. The sites also say strong winds passing by on Sunday, storm warnings along the coastline and almost storm force in the ghosts here as well. The winds are said to be coming from south east so I will feel it here in my garden as well. I never do when they come from south to north via west though.

I went to the store this morning, I didn’t have much left in the fridge. I had written a list and I did follow it without straying away from it too much but I hadn’t written it in the order they are placed in the store, so something that would have taken ten minutes too almost half an hour 🙂 I always walk too the place where they have half the price on food, just because it’ll be too old to sell in a day or two. I just put what ever it is in the freezer and cook it later on. For me that’s sort of a natural thing to do but today there was man who looked so embarrassed to look in there while someone else was near.

I felt so sorry for him, many people are ashamed that their economy is bad and really don’t want other people to know. Later on I arrived at the cashier just after him and he had bought the same things I had. It is awful that people feel ashamed just because they barely scrape by every day. he was around my age and probably without any job as well and that’s nothing to be ashamed at. I’m not sure if there’s anything like a soup kitchen or food help in Falköping but they do pop up in most places now days. Some people even feel more ashamed to have to go there. I would absolutely go there if my economy is that bad and being poor is nothing to be ashamed of.

It is time to try a slice or two from that newly baked bread and I’ll have that last cup of tea for the day at the same time. I think I’ll have some cheese on it and also some caviar. No not that kind of caviar that costs more than I make in a year 🙂 🙂 🙂 it’s actually smoked and salted cod roe, one of the more popular things to have on a sandwich 🙂 Also perfect putting some on a hard boiled egg 🙂
