It was supposed to rain all day here, so I wasn’t the least surprised that we had sunshine until just after noon 🙂 So sunshine and still warm weather made the day rather pleasant. It actually made it a bit warm on our walk because I dressed to be surprised by rain that didn’t come 🙂

I drove to the super market quite early today, I always try to go there as early as possible just because very few others do. Ok the eventual rather grumpy pensioner is there but today they only looked really annoyed about something that most likely wasn’t a problem at all 🙂 I had written a list of things I wanted and for once I actually didn’t buy anything else than what I needed 🙂

When I arrived in the village again I realised that I had forgotten to post that test I had to do, so I just went in, got it and drove to the nearest mailbox which is in Gudhem and then I drove back home again. It is so irritating when I do things like that, I had even placed the padded envelope so I wouldn’t miss it when I went to the super market 🙂 🙂 🙂 Normally I would say that this is how one learns not to do it again but I’ve done like this my entire life and I should have learned by now 🙂 🙂

The sign that hunters were out hunting in the forest was still up so today I just didn’t care. I could see on the ground that no one had driven there for several days and even the gate further down the gravel road was locked so I just kept on walking. We went down to the creek and followed it down-stream. I heard some birds tweeting and saw one flying across the road but no bigger animals. I did however to my surprise actually photograph a deer 🙂 It was a long way away but it is there in the photo 🙂

Later on I baked some French rolls, well they became tea cakes because gluten free dough is very sticky and loose so the sank down but became wide instead 🙂 🙂 Today I tried a new to me thing called Tangzhong, it’s actually a quite old method from Japan but I’ve just heard about it. One should boil some of the water/ milk with some of the flour to make a sort of sticky porridge. That is then supposed to cool down and later mixed in withe the rest of the ingredients in the dough. They say that it will make the bread softer and more fluffy.

I tried it and yes the bread really is soft and fluffy but to be honest, all newly baked bread usually is. So I think I’ll know better tomorrow if I did it right. If it still is soft and fluffy it works and/or I did it the right way 🙂 🙂 It is time to have that last cup of tea for the day but I’ll actually not have any of the bread this time, for once I actually feel that I’ve had enough with food for one day and that’s really rare 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!
