So today we have the elections for a new parliament and also elections for our regions and counties. We always have our elections on the second Sunday in September so we know that as many as possible can go and vote. We can of course pre vote but I don’t think we can send any by mail. This year 3,6 million people had pre voted and were only a country with just over ten million people. I always try to go to the polling station as soon as they open in the morning so I don’t have to wait in a queue to do it.

So all I can do now is to wait and hope for the best. The polling stations will close at eight pm and we’ll get the first hint just seconds after via the polling station surveys. Reality can be very different than those surveys though so it’s best to not take them as a given result 🙂 If the elections is very even between the right and the left we might have to wait until Wednesday to know the result, that’s when the voting results from people living abroad has been counted. The last four years we’ve had a right wing government who depended on the support of our fascist party. If they win this year they’ll let the fascists in and give them real power. I’ve always wondered why they didn’t learn anything about how Hitler came to power. The German leaders back then let them in as well because they thought they could control the nazies, of course they couldn’t. They will not be able to do that now either.

Otherwise it has been a nice day. I did have to do three rounds of laundry though but then again the grass is still so wet that I really couldn’t mow the lawn 🙂 win some lose some 🙂 🙂 I couldn’t hang my laundry outside even though it was 20C (68F) outside, the humidity was up at 100% so the clothes were just as wet after an hour as they were when I put them outside 🙂 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day. I’ve just had dinner so I think tea will be enough. I’m just as tired today as I was yesterday so I think I can drink an entire pot and still have to go to bed the normal time 🙂 🙂 I’ll check the papers as soon as I wake up tomorrow because I’ll not be awake when an eventual result can be shown.
