It’s getting warmer.

It is Scandinavian hot already now but the heat wave will hit us from tomorrow and last at least until Monday if the weather sites are right. We might get some rain and if we do I’m pretty sure it will come with thunder. No where near what they have down in Europe though.

The first tomatoes showing and funnily enough not on the ones growing in the greenhouse 🙂

So guess if I’m happy to have my job at the pool 🙂 I’ll start an hour early by starting the robots so they have plenty of time to clean the bottom because I’m pretty sure there will be lots of visitors there this weekend 🙂 I do have some indoor jobs as well and unfortunately they’re mostly moving heavy furniture between rooms and in to storage. Well I have at least the cool morning to enjoy 🙂

Oxalis has become a really bad weed here but it’s edible so I eat them every now and again 🙂

It’s so warm now so we don’t take any walks, the dogs don’t seem to care because they mostly sleep anyway, they do play in the garden before I go to work though so they can get rid of some of their energy. We’ll have really early morning walks on Saturday and Sunday though, it should be cool enough if we go just before the sun rise.

Rampion bellflower. There used to be special varieties with big roots because the entire plant is edible.

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day. I know I bought a small bottle with soda on my way home but I can’t for my life remember where I put it after I had opened the door 🙂 🙂 Well I guess it’s rather warm by the time I find it so I better put it in the freezer for a while before I drink it 🙂 🙂

    I laugh every time you talk about eating weeds because, even though I never have my yard sprayed with anything, I believe I would die a terrible death if I ever tried to eat something growing in it.

    I just killed a little lipstick echeveria (molded wax agave or house leek) a friend gave me. I don’t think it got enough sun, but whether I watered it (every 3 weeks) or not, a bottom leaf would turn yellow and fall off.

    Well, this morning it was bone-dry. It had been at least 3 weeks since watering, so I set it in a bowl to soak up some from the bottom, and then ALL the leaves started falling off, even though they were still pale green. It seemed to have died right down to the dirt.

    I’m going to beg this friend to stop giving me plants. I’ve killed all of the 3 larger ones she’d given me previously. One pot of daisies got caterpillars that covered my desk in poop, you may recall.

    I told her I have to be careful about plants because I never know what the cats might eat that’s poisonous, but that didn’t stop her. And if I put them outside, they get bugs. The echeveria was OK for the cats, but I clearly it hated me.

      I’ve had good teachers otherwise I would have died a long time ago 🙂

      I’ve always had problems with plants like that, no matter what one do they just give up and dies 🙂 🙂 🙂 To be honest from what I can see You’ve done exactly right! but they do need lots of direct sunlight, at least six hours a day so I guess that’s why Your gave up. But You really can’t blame Yourself for the caterpillars 🙂 Thankfully none of the dogs or the monster are interested in any plants but grass because I do have some really poisonous plants growing in the garden.
