They behaved so well.

My neighbour and I went to the pool to do the tests and check the repair I had done on a thin tube earlier in the week. It was so nice there now in the morning before anyone was awake enough to even consider going to the pool . The water is heated so even though it was a bit cool in the air the water was warm and nice. Ok I didn’t jump in but I placed my hand in it 🙂 Seagulls were doing seagull things and starlings jumped around in the grass looking for insects to eat and to feed their young ones.

Before that however the dogs and I was out on our morning walk. I now wear a hoodie while walking if it is warm enough for flies to fly around, back in the days I instead used a mosquito hat to keep away the flies from my face and ears because I just can’t stand them when they try to look what’s in my ears and nostrils 🙂 🙂 🙂 A hoodie does much the same even though my face isn’t covered. We walked down the gravel road and today I decided that we would walk out to the bog.

We passed the fields where a Roe deer goat (I think it’s called doe in English even if it is a small deer, here we say get (goat) for roe deer but hind (doe) for the bigger deer but cow when it comes to moose 🙂 🙂 Anyway she stood there calmly eating when I saw something in the corner of my eye, her kid 🙂 To my very big surprise (and happiness) both Alma and Malkolm behaved perfectly 🙂 We continued on our merry way out to the bog and passed through high grass. It wasn’t as wet in the grass as I thought it would be so I realised that I had to check the dogs for ticks really carefully when we would arrive at home again.

I had hoped I would see some wildlife out there but I couldn’t even find a bird 🙂 So we walked back home and then suddenly Malkolm reacted and started to look through the trees and bushes. Then Alma joined in and I thought they must have heard wild hogs moving away. I never heard anything moving but the dogs did and suddenly they ran out on the old forest road, two moose 🙂 They looked at me for a second and then the big one ran away but the smaller stood there and turned around. I was pretty sure that it most likely would attack even if we weren’t especially close.

Turns out that it just was curious, looked at us for a while and then slowly walked in between the trees again 🙂 Both Alma and Malkolm just stood there watching but as soon as the moose was gone they tried to run forward to see where it had gone and of course smell the ground 🙂 🙂 🙂 My old dogs wouldn’t have cared at all, just continued with their walk and enjoy life 🙂 🙂 I picked ten ticks from Malkolm when we came home, I always check them before I let them in and I found three on Alma. I found five more walking on Malkolm when we were indoors again but in another light. I truly hate ticks!!!

It is time to make a pot of tea again, will be my second for the day. I had my breakfast after I had come back from work but I think it might be time for some yogurt with sliced banana and perhaps some musli as well 🙂 It’s like a dessert when not having any ice cream at home 🙂

Have a great Summer solstice!
