They warned us of heavy showers and thunderstorms today but so far we’ve had a light thunder passing by and a gentle summer rain. From what I can see on the weather sites it’s over for this time. I do wonder where those heavy showers were.
We had sunshine when we were out on our morning walk though and since the monster was pretty fed up with the magpies she decided she would follow us on our walk instead of staying in the garden. Normally we walk out to the bog when she decides that but today I really wanted to go down to the creek but she wasn’t too happy about that 🙂 and actually complained every now and again. She was complaining some on our way home as well but that was mostly because she wanted to investigate the surroundings and we just walked too fast for her to do that 🙂
I’ve watered the garden a lot today, first early in the morning when we just had woken up and the dogs wanted to go outside but even more later on when I decided to clean everything in my smaller aquarium. It has had a smell of something chemical and I’ve suspected that it must be the black gravel I had in it. The fish in it didn’t look too happy either so I used the water from it to water the newly planted trees and bushes. After I had cleaned everything I refilled the aquarium with rainwater from one of the water barrels so now it looks much like the reflecting pool in Washington 🙂 🙂 🙂 The water has a rather nice light green colour but since the fish are guppies they’ll most likely like it, they eat a lot of algae.
We’ve been up for so long that it feels like it should be evening now, it’s 12:30 pm 🙂 🙂 So I’ll start making some kind of lunch/ dinner when I’ve done this. I think I’ll just have fried potatoes, some sausages, an egg and what ever of the cabbage I have outside that has decided to start to flower. I’ll also add some goosefoot that grows everywhere here. After that I’ll of course make another pot of tea 🙂
