Very mixed weather here but it has had the same temperature all day long, 15C (59F). Not much to brag about but it is what it is. So I have actually worn a sweater all day even when the sun has been shining.

It rained all the time when we were out on our morning walk, even those times when the sun shone. Everything was dripping wet and my boots were soaking wet when we came back home 🙂 Still I had put on some shoe wax to keep water out of the boots yesterday but it was like walking in shallow water 🙂 🙂 🙂

I think my big apple tree is starting to give up, it has long cracks in every bigger branch. Half the tree is already gone, that fell several years ago and I had hoped that would help the still standing half but I’m not sure any more. So I’ve now planted the biggest of the heart walnut seedlings close to it so there’s something to take over that space when that day comes.

Some of the broccoli plants I have started to flower today, they aren’t supposed to but they have their own mind about that it seems 🙂 So I cut off those flowers and the flowers on the Pack Choi and also picked some Goose foot (Chenopodium album), a common weed that taste really nice, and fried them together with the potatoes for my lunch. Not bad at all to be honest 🙂

I need to do the laundry as well today but for the rest of the day I’ll just relax. I will make a pot of tea of course and I’ll have a couple of sandwiches with Christmas ham on. They’ve started to sell that ham all year round now days and since it was on sale I thought why not 🙂 Midsummer is just around the corner so it sort of fits in well since midsummer is just as big as Christmas is here.
