A little Robin was kind enough to sit still long enough in the sunshine for me to get a photo of it.
I must admit that I didn’t think it was as cold as it was when I followed the dogs outside when we had woken up, -6C (21,2F). I guess that there was no wind what so ever helped to fool me. But we had sunshine all day and got was pretty warm for this time of the year so I can’t complain too much, I do complain but it would have been worse if the wind had blown all day as well 🙂 🙂 🙂

I have only stayed outside for shorter period of times though, plenty of shorter periods because today the pollen has hit me hard. My nose has been running and I’ve sneezed more times than I care for 🙂 My eyes itch on and off as well and that’s really annoying. Normally I only react this bad when there’s lots of either Birch pollen or Pine pollen but none of them have started yet, I guess that lots of pollen has come with the winds from the continent and that’s why I have these problems at the moment.

There isn’t much one can do in the garden at the moment just because the nights still are so cold. I really would have liked to bring out the tomato and bell pepper plants now so I could have more space to sow new things 🙂 We’ll have one or two nights with above 0C (32F) temperatures and then we’ll have a couple of rather cold nights again. Ok we’ll have sunshine all the time though so I guess I can’t complain especially much about that either 🙂 🙂 🙂

Lots of deer out in the fields now and I noticed that three cranes must have been in the field just outside my cottage because they flew just above the cottage roof when they saw us. I hear them in the evenings now but still haven’t come close enough to get a photo of them. We had fewer cranes by the lake this time, lots died this winter from bird flu down in Europe. Not only cranes but loads of other birds as well. Here they nest and stays by themselves almost all summer but during winter they gather in much bigger groups and if one get the flu most of the others will get it as well. They noticed that lots more cranes danced this time, mostly because lots lost their partners this winter.

Tomorrow I’ll visit the town Vara, I’ll have to leave some blood before the x-ray I’ll take of my kidney on Monday. I always used to have a hamburger and fries every time I was in Vara before we realised I couldn’t eat gluten but I think I’ll ask if they have gluten free bread because I haven’t had anything unhealthy to eat in a long time now 🙂 I don’t know why but it’s just not the same without that bread, I mean it doesn’t taste anything to be honest but is a good filler I guess 🙂 🙂 🙂

It wasn’t happy when I brought it out in the rain two days ago 🙂

This male Yellowhammer was even more kind to sit still long enough in the rain to let me take a few photos 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and I’ll also have a sandwich or two with that ham I bought plus a couple of slices of cheese, can’t have a sandwich without cheese 🙂
Have a great day!
