It was even better today.

We didn’t have any frost close to the cottage this morning but there had been out on the fields beside the creek. The crass crunched when we walked on it πŸ™‚ You all know I really don’t like cold weather and feels like I’ve been born in the wrong part of the world πŸ™‚ Then again I don’t like hot weather either so it would be hard to find any place where the temperatures would stay around 20C-25C (68F-77F) all year round πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Still we had a really wonderful morning despite the low temperature.

We had fog already before the sun rose and it turned slowly towards morning mist while we were out on our morning walk. If there were any bigger animals close to us we wouldn’t have been able to see them anyway πŸ™‚ Morning mist has a tendency to move around when the sun starts to warm up the air so sometimes we could see a lot around us and sometimes nothing at all πŸ™‚

I think the moose fly season might be over now πŸ™‚ Not a single one tried to assault us when we went out to the forest later in the day. It’s was even warmish where the sun hadn’t reached so if that didn’t bring out those little monsters there’s most likely none left. Still a few ticks hanging around though.

I went to the supermarket as well today and got a message that a parcel had arrived when I drove homewards. Unfortunately to the opposite way so I would have had top drive almost as far in the other direction to get it, so I decided that the parcel can wait until Monday to be picked up πŸ™‚

The rest of the day I’ve been watching curling, putting out sugar water to the bees and baked a bread tat still waits to be tasted. No I didn’t do any recipe from the book, they do look a bit complicated to be honest πŸ™‚ I will however try, closer to December, a recipe for a traditional christmas bread called vΓΆrtbrΓΆd. It has almost all christmas spices in it, You know cloves, cinnamon and the rest of them.

I think it is time too make a pot of tea and try a slice or two from that bread, it must have cooled down enough by now πŸ™‚

Have a great day!
