I was lucky to be working outdoors all day.

Nice day but it started with some heavy drizzle. After that however it has mostly been sunny and I was lucky to be able to working outdoors all day long 🙂

First the pool and after that I dug ups lots of raspberry plants at a day care center. They just grew to well and they couldn’t keep up with weeding it. Just as I was about to drive away to toss the plants away another day care center said they wanted them, so I just packed them in big black plastic bags and gave advice on how to care for them until they could plant them.

I didn’t have any lunch with me to eat today, so I stopped by a hamburger joint because I haven’t eaten hamburgers in years. It did taste really good but I must admit that I was surprised over how expensive it was!!! Still it was worth it since I most likely won’t be doing it again in several more years 🙂 🙂 🙂

The Kankakee mallow loves its new place.
I have several pots and buckets with rose suckers and I’ll plant them in the lilac hedge to make an extra barrier for eventual wild hogs.

I wasn’t supposed to work tomorrow but plans changed. My work friend/ neighbour and I will drive to the pool tomorrow and do the tests and check a repair I made on a thin tube. I’m pretty sure it’s just like it should be but I feel that it always is best to do a double check just in case. After that I’ll go to the supermarket to buy me some food and if they’re open also buy a couple of fish to my smaller aquarium. It is time something starts living there too 🙂

The last peony bud. Also bought on sale via the internet and I can’t remember what it is at all 🙂 There are ants on the bud though so I’m pretty sure it’ll open up.

    Funny you should mention ants on your peony. Several years ago a friend had a beautiful pink peony bush in her yard, and when I praised it, she cut some flowers off for me. I laid them on the floor on the passenger side to drive them home.

    When I got home, my car was full of ants because the peonies were full of them.

    Do peonies just normally attract ants?

      Hi catsworking!

      Yes they do because of a sugary layer around the bud. I always know when a peony bud won’t open up because if there’s no ants they’re eating it they never open up. To be honest I’m not sure if the ants actually has anything to do with it or if it actually is something wrong with the peony since it never produce that sugary layer.
