Another really nice day, summer is here.

We started the day with having a blue sky, sunshine and cool temperatures . I wore a fleece sweater and regretted it almost immediately 🙂 It was too warm even in the shadows but I needed something with pockets so I could bring my phone and dog treats 🙂 It’s always good to bring a phone just in case one would fall when walking in the forest and need help to come back home 🙂 So far I’ve never needed it even though I do fall a lot when getting stuck between sticks and branches 🙂 🙂

We didn’t see any animals at all, besides birds and insects. We didn’t even hear them run away from us. I guess this is the time lots of animals gives birth so they tend to stay away from the roads and also stay very calm. We walked down to the creek in to the older forest, back to the creek and followed it down streams and then back home again. The cattle are back in the fields where we usually go down to the creek to follow it up streams and I just didn’t have the energy to pass those electric fences with loads of curious cows coming to look what I’m doing 🙂 🙂

We’ve had sunshine all day until around 4pm when clouds arrived and covered the sun. We are supposed to have rain tonight until late morning tomorrow. They also say the temperature will drop a lot during tomorrow but the warm weather will return already on Friday. I really want that rain to come because today I uncovered most places where I’ve sown seeds and also those seedlings I’ve already planted in the vegetable garden.

To be honest I could only see some carrots growing so I hope the rest starts when the rain comes tonight. I also noticed I had quite a lot of young White bryony (Bryonia alba). The problem is that it looks very much like a young squash plant in the beginning but if one crush the leafs one will regret it, smell pretty nasty 🙂 🙂 🙂 White bryony or Wild hop as it also is called can cover an entire tree within one summer so it is nothing one want in the garden. Since I don’t want that smell on my fingers I’ll just let them grow for a while before I rip them up 🙂

I’ve also moved out anything from the greenhouse that doesn’t need to stay there during summer so now I finally can walk around in there without walking on something 🙂 🙂 The rest of this day I’ve done very little 🙂 I like to have some granola for breakfast but I have one small problem, no matter what it is made of my stomach gets gassy. So I think I’ve contributed a lot towards the climate change today 🙂 🙂 🙂 It is so bad that I really can’t eat it if I have to be close to other people for any longer time 🙂 🙂 I have no idea why it’s like that but I can only have it for breakfast if I know I’ll be home all day 🙂 🙂 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day. I’ll write a list for what I might need the coming week because since the weather will be a bit off tomorrow but really nice for the rest of the week I’ll go to the supermarket already tomorrow so I can be at home enjoying these nice summer days while I can 🙂

Have a great day!

I sympathize with your digestive problem. I’m having a colonoscopy next Wednesday, so today I start a 5-day diet where I can eat basically nothing nutritional. No fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, anything red, blue, purple or with fiber, the list is long. And it’s the opposite of what I mostly eat.

This morning I was able to have my usual bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon, but couldn’t have onion and dill. Tonight I’ll have white fish with the inside of a baked potato because I can’t have the skin.

I bought two dozen eggs because I can have those, and may end up eating them a lot. I think I’m going to get bored with eating nothing but white or pale food pretty quickly.

What remains to be seen is what this dies does to my “regularity,” but it’s probably nothing good. But if I get stopped up, Tuesday is the day I have to drink the prep stuff that makes it all come out. The instructions said to take some Gas-X with that, so I guess the drink is like eating your granola.

      Hi catsworking!

Oh the joy of colonoscopy and bland food 🙂 🙂 Not the funniest thing I’ve had to go through. I feel for You!

I must have tried sad bagels because I’ve never really fallen for them, of course I didn’t buy any from a bakery so I think that has a lot to do with it.
I hope these five days pass quickly!

One can do lots with eggs though so that’s at least something. I am pretty sure You will be bored but soon You’ll be able to eat properly again.
Well no problems if it get stopped because that prep stuff is really effective 🙂

It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten a real bagel. I know bagels are supposed to be boiled, and they have a crusty outside and soft inside. What passes for “bagels” around here, I’ve noticed, is basically white bread baked into a bagel shape. I’ve bought them at a few different stores, and they’re all just thick round white bread with a hole in the middle.

I’m on day 3 of the colonoscopy diet now and I’m starting to get into the eggs. I like eggs all ways. This morning I had two sunnyside eggs in butter over some leftover white rice, which I’ve never done before, but I told myself it was like Chinese egg foo young, but healthier.

      Hi cats working!

That’s more or less what I’ve had too and the ones I’ve had was anything but crusty on the outside 🙂 🙂 🙂

      Only two more days 🙂
Eggs are great that way, there are so many ways one can make them so it’ll take some time before one is bored with them 🙂
