I didn’t expect to meet that on our walk.

Greylags on they way out to the bog.

A beautiful sunrise and a cold morning, not as cold as yesterday but cold enough to kill the plants that had survived yesterday but was badly hit by the frost yesterday. My neighbours tomato plants said good buy and the one I had in the greenhouse  that had managed to survive looked really sad 🙂 Still it looks like the roots still are ok so there might grow up a new plant from those.

We went out rather early so it was still pretty cold, I had scrubbed the dogs with the giant yarrow and thought that since it was pretty cold we wouldn’t have any problems with ticks, still I found two walking around on Alma when we came back home. The wagtail was out looking for insects that would be a bit slow since it was as cold as it was and from what I could see it was really successful 🙂 We walked down to the creek and in to the older forest. We could hear a few animals running away from us but couldn’t see any.

That is until we were walking on the gravel road on our way home. Alma started grunting and was a bit hesitant when we suddenly saw it, a moose. Thankfully from a safe distance, I really don’t trust moose because they aim just as good with their front legs as they do with their back legs and it does occasionally happen that they kill people if they come too close. I’m certain however that this one was a calf from last year and they rather run than fight 🙂

I had to go to the supermarket after that and just as I had come home I got a notice that a parcel had arrived at the grocery store in Gudhem, on the opposite way compared to the supermarket. I really didn’t want to jump in to the car again so I’ll wait a while before picking it up. I ordered the (for my small aquarium) thing two days ago and didn’t think I would get it until next week 🙂 🙂 🙂 I can go on Saturday and buy some ice cream while I’m there. Best to bring a couple of ice packs so it doesn’t start to melt before I’m back home again 🙂

I’ve repotted the two Persimmon relatives I sowed (Kaki fruit) and the Pawpaw seedling but very little besides that 🙂 I guess it’s time for that last cup of tea for the day and after that most likely fall asleep in the recliner 🙂

Have a great day!

By the way, the tutor on my kidney grows so slow that they don’t feel the need to x-ray it again next year, they’ll do it the year after that instead 🙂

Good looking moose. I’m glad you had your camera at the ready. I’d not want to run across an adult in the woods either.

We’ve been having cold weather lately, too. Not freezing but it has also been drizzling rain or blowing really hard which makes it feel cold. Today was lovely and sunny but the wind was still a presence. It will be cloudy with showers all weekend.

    Good news about the kidney.

      Hi Caryn!

For once I managed to be quick enough to get a photo 🙂 🙂

That wind just continues to blow!!! I guess I could have liked it if it at least was warm 🙂 🙂 The days have been fine otherwise and we had frost again tonight and I’m so tired of it now!

We might get rain all next week and I guess a new cold front is arriving because themperatures will drop again. So I’m hoping for the rain even if it’s just a little.

Yes it must be good news since it doesn’t grow especially much at all, perhaps I’m one of the very, very few who has gotten a benign one?
I notice I wrote tutor 🙂 🙂 🙂 I wonder in what because I really would need one if I try to relearn my French again 🙂 🙂 🙂

Congratulations on the good news about the kidney tumor! That must feel like a little weight is off your shoulders.

      Hi catsworking!

      Thank You 🙂
To be honest I haven’t been thinking especially much about it except for when I need to do the x-ray. Mostly because they found it so early so they have had full control on it, also it takes too much energy to worry about things I can’t do much about 🙂
