So nice today.

Yesterday was a bit meh weather-wise to be honest, chilly, and rainy in the morning but sunny and warmish in the afternoon, today however we had sunshine from the start. Yes chilly in the beginning but that change pretty quickly to rather warm, also at least here at home it felt like it was wind free. Now clouds have arrived and from now on it’ll only get worse. Tomorrow will be reasonable nice, no sunshine but warmish and then Friday and Saturday will be almost cold. After that it looks like it’ll be turning back again towards more sunshine and higher temperatures.

I had to post a letter today so I drove up to Gudhem to the closest mail box. It stands just outside the grocery store so I went in and bought some chocolate and sugar because I’ll make some coconut tops and I’ll dip them in chocolate 🙂  I won’t have any traditionally food but I’ll use eggs to make pancakes and I bought a jar of blueberry jam when I was at the store as well 🙂  Besides that I’ve haven’t done much. The pollen is still bothering me a bit so I’m tired all the time and since the temperatures goes up and down so drastically during night and day There isn’t much I can sown in the vegetable garden. There is this one thing I failed with last year called winter lettuce I can sow though, it will not start to germinate if it becomes warm. Then again it didn’t grow last year when it was chilly either so I’m not sure I’ll bother with it. Still I have nothing to lose by trying it again.

Wild gooseberry. Tiny but delicious berries and thorny as h..l 🙂

We’ve met our fox twice these last days, way to quick for me to get a photo since it saw us before we could see it 🙂 It does look really healthy though, especially now since it still has its winter fur on. I’ve also seen our two roe deer in the fields but that’s it. Lots of small birds flying around though, I really don’t know much about the different birds, especially those migrating here now but I can hear that some birds sound a bit more exotic now 🙂 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day. Perhaps I’ll have some yogurt with banana slices in it later on. I like to sprinkle some cinnamon or cardamom over it all, to be honest I think it’s even better if I have apple slices but I don’t have a single apple here at home so banana will have to do 🙂

Have a great day!

Is that the same mouse you’ve been catching over and over again? 😀 It’s very cute.

    Sarah looks very beautiful.

Here it is yoyo weather still. Sunday, I think, was sunny but the wind was sharp and cold, Monday was a bit the same. Yesterday was sporadically rainy but no wind and nice enough for a stroll around the neighborhood. Today was misty and drizzly. It started out cold but now it’s much warmer and very humid. Still no sun. Piki and I patrolled the yard and I saw about a dozen clumps of chionadoxa growing happily in the lawn. They’re invasive or so I’m told but not in my yard apparently. I planted the bulbs decades ago and The Dog LeRoy dug them up and scattered them. They showed up here and there around the yard and finally, this year, one has popped up in the original place where I put them.

      Hi Caryn!

Yes it is 🙂 I’ve suspected that for some time now but today I know it is so. Yesterday I caught one with a tick on its neck and today it was caught again with a tick in the exact same spot 🙂 🙂 I need to walk even further away to release it I guess 🙂

This yoyo weather is a bit annoying but as long as it is above 32F I won’t complain too much. I looked at the Norwegian weather site this morning and it showed we would get up to hurricane force in the gusts!!! Sort of stressed me quite a lot 🙂 So even though my neighbours cottage and green house is protecting my greenhouse I still went out to tighten the storm wires and anchors on my greenhouse 🙂 🙂 🙂 They’ve changed the prediction slightly so now we’ll only get storm force in the gusts, still nothing I want to have now.

I don’t think Chionadoxas are seen as invasive here, yet. Scilla sibirica however is but there’s so many everywhere now that it would be impossible to remove them 🙂 Good thing because bees and butterflies would have nothing else to get food from this early in the year otherwise.

So it made a trip back home 🙂 🙂 Well nostalgia can do that 🙂 🙂
