Today fog from the ocean would flow in over a big part of the southwest of Sweden and they showed on tv that this area would be at the border of it. So we could either have cool and grey weather or warm and sunny. We found ourselves on the warm and sunny side all day long π It wasn’t that warm in the morning though, what thawed yesterday froze again during the night. It was a beautiful morning though and the cold crisp air took away most of the stuffing in my nose created by hazel pollen π

I drove to the supermarket before the dogs and I had our morning walk. I like to go as early as possible so I don’t have to deal with annoying customers who never seem to know where to go and are quite rude if they can’t find what they want or happens to be second in a line of two at the cashiers π π People like that always seems to be retires with all the time in the world to go shopping in the store. It didn’t take long at the store so the air was still cold and crisp when we went out on our morning walk. I don’t think Alma ever has behaved as good as she did today!!! I don’t think she saw the two deer out in a field thankfully π Malkolm did of course also behave really well but then again he usually does.

I’ve continued to make the new vegetable garden bigger, lots of grass still in there but that’s because the roots still are frozen to the ground π I’ve also removed lots of greater celandines from big areas. I do like them but they tend to suffocate smaller flowers because they grow fast and big. So I usually save them where I have stinging nettles so those two can fight each other π Β I’ve noticed that the first spring bulbs are showing now and oddly enough it looks like the wild tulips shows before the different croci but that can change pretty quick.

I took a look at the sowings I have indoors as well. The rhododendrons are now germinating and Β to my big joy also a Jujube seed (Zizifus jujube) had started to grow in the plastic bag π The tree is barely hardy enough to have outdoors here but if I had stayed where I lived when I moved up to this area ( barely 20 km (2,6 miles ) away from here it would have had no problems at all :-)So it’ll be a potted tree until the day I get tired of carry it in and out over winter, then I’ll plant it outside and check how hardy it is π π

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day or perhaps I’ll have some rose-hip soup instead. Tomorrow will be cloudy and we’ll most likely have some rain as well. I don’t mind because that will help with thawing up the ground.

Have a great day!
