So little has happened here today. I did drive to the supermarket and I baked a bread and that’s it 🙂 Not saying it was a bad day but really nothing to write about. So I’ll just post some photos from our morning walk and after that I’ll have that last cup of tea and a bowl with the ice cream I bought this morning 🙂

Have a great day!

  1. Something I’ve always wondered about is in your 6th photo, with the white object in the foreground to the left, is the gate or barrier across that path. What’s the purpose of it, to keep people in or out? If you drive on that road (if allowed), do you have to get out to open and close it?

    1. Hi catsworking!

Those white balls (so it isn’t just one object even if it looks like it) are actually filled with grass and herbs they’ve harvested from the fields and and is made to silage. To make silage it’s absolutely important that now oxygen can get inside them because the grass is slowly fermenting. By doing this the content will actually become much more nutritious. Back in the days they used spaces where they could push out any air with big tractors and cover it with tarpaulins for the same reason but it was much more difficult to keep the oxygen out. If oxygen does get in it all starts to rot instead.

      1. Ah yes! You have taken other photos that show multiple of those white tank things. But what is the gate for?

Fermented grass and herbs sounds like something that somebody would press to get the juice out and make liquor with. Is there such a thing? Sounds like it would taste terrible, but some people will drink (or smoke) anything, at least over here!

      2. Sorry about that 🙂 I’m so used to see that gate that I actually didn’t see it 🙂 🙂 🙂

They had tp put up that gate because of two things, people stole spruces to have as Christmas trees and poachers. The gate is usually unlocked most of the year but around now until Christmas it will be locked. The road leads just further in towards the bog and there are actually three places where even lorries can turn around, helpful when they have thinned out the forest, The horse guy that usually do that job (lorries from the big logging companies also drive down that road to pick up all the logs) have his own key. So it isn’t for keeping those walking around out, that would be illegal here.

I’m pretty sure some hipsters most likely would try that 🙂 🙂 🙂
