Just a short one today. The greenhouse still stands, I went out several times to check how the anchors and pegs were holding up and they show no signs of even moving the slightest. The only thing that did was the broken golf club in front of the door, so I pressed it down in the ground in another place and much further down and it is still standing 🙂

The dogs barely went out to do their business because the wind was fierce and I must say I didn’t think a tree could bend that much as my Chinese catalpa, any normal tree bending so much would have broken in two 🙂 🙂

The badger visited us in the late morning, I was surprised it even had went out on a day like this. I was outside just minutes earlier to check the greenhouse and went back to let the dogs out. Took a bit longer than I expected so by the time we came out the badger had left us again 🙂 They dig mall holes searching for snails and larvae to eat and they weren’t there when I was out earlier 🙂 So everything has went well and we’re all sitting in the cottage enjoying not being outside 🙂 It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and after that it feels like an early night is the right thing to do 🙂 Well I’ll watch the news first just in case something has happened in the world 🙂
Have a great day!
We’ve had a storm here too, a strong wind (105 km per hour) and lots of rain. The wind has calmed down now but it’s still raining.
At least it makes the snails happy and the lawns green, so I don’t mind the rain but this wind was just too much for me.
I’m glad the greenhouse still stands !

Hi Poppy!
Yes I saw that on the news and I can understand how You feel about the wind, ours was bad but Yours just nasty!
I’m not sure the snails and the lawn cares that much up here now after all those nights with frost but the ground is so dry that all the rain is needed.
I am too 🙂 🙂 I was worried when the worst gusts hit but seeing the greenhouse standing absolutely still made me worry about the catalpa because I’ve never seen a tree bend so much without breaking 🙂 🙂

We have had very lovely weather for some time now. It’s great except no rain to speak of and some areas are in serious drought. The trees change to autumn colors and then the leaves turn brown and fall off in a couple of days. The last couple of days have been in the 80s F after a few days in the low 60s F and even down in the 40s F at night. Weird weather.
It’s good that the green house survived its test. It’s also great to enjoy being inside on a nasty day.

Hi Caryn!
We are still in a drought here desfpitethe rain that has fallen. I guess one can say we’ve had it too nice for a while with cold mornings and lots of sunshine.I really don’t want up to 80 now but just below 68 would have been nice 🙂
Yes it is quite nice to be in there when the rain is pouring down, the dogs seems tike being in there as well 🙂
