We had a beautiful morning mist when I looked out the window when we got up this morning, so I hurried to get dressed so we could have our morning walk in it. By the time we came out it had turned to fog instead πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Well that’s not so bad to be honest but I would have liked to have that sunshine for a while before it changed.

It was almost totally quiet, only my neighbours roosters could be heard. No other birds could be heard and for some reason fog does this to birds, they quiet down but I have no idea why. Then again fog quiets down everything, even the forest machines and tractors are harder to hear. Actually even Alma was more silent when we passed the new neighbours than she usually is πŸ™‚

It has been warm with a high humidity today but almost no sunshine. I went to a grocery store in FalkΓΆping in the early morning and stopped by the grocery store in Gudhem to pick up my parcel. It’s the paper shredder I’ve bought and it is still standing where I placed it right after I came home, I haven’t unpacked it yet πŸ™‚ Instead I did some laundry and now in the afternoon I baked a bread. It is a bit irritating to have to bake Β so often because the loafs are small, so today I doubled it all and I’ve just tried a few lines and with blue cheese on it tastes amazing πŸ™‚

So many small spiderwebs.

We’ll have two more days with rather pleasant weather but from Thursday and the coming seven days we’ll have lower temperatures and lots of rain. I don’t mind the rain but the temperatures could stay I think πŸ™‚ Β So I guess I better start cutting down those rather high tree stumps that’s left of the grape elders, they are electric and with a cord, not too fun to use in rain and wet grass πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

My closest neighbours rooster. I think he’s really beautiful.

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and perhaps I should make myself a blue cheese sandwich again πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

  1. The chickens are all handsome, including the rooster πŸ“ , so fluffy!

im thinking of getting a bread machine but the initial investment biz pretty high. I guess with the US tariffs this is to be expected. On the other hand, supporting our local baker is a positive good, right?

    1. Hi Carol!

Yes it is and mine only makes small loafs so I do need to bake quite often. So every now and again I do double as much dough and put it in the oven instead. A bit too warm to do it yet to be honest but it will be nice when it is getting colder outside and I open the oven and all that heat and smell starts to fill the cottage πŸ™‚
And yes it is a good thing to support the local baker πŸ™‚

  2. You’ve convinced me that Swedish spiders are a lot more artistic than Virginia spiders. For some reason, spiders love spinning webs all around my front steps, and they’re very fast. Yesterday afternoon when I went out to get the mail, I noticed several new webs on both sides of the banisters, and they were just a mess, with no pattern at all. They’re what we call “cobwebs,” and people buy fake ones and drape them all over for Halloween. I can get them for free anytime I want!

    1. Hi catsworking!

I’ll tell them when we’r out walking tomorrow morning πŸ™‚ Very few wheel shaped ones this year compared to earlier or they might just do them elsewhere now when the younger trees are getting bigger.
