Fog again this morning and actually a bit too good 🙂 🙂 because the camera quite often had problems finding anything to focus on. So instead I had to do it myself like in the olden times when autofocus just was a dream 🙂 🙂 🙂 Not a fly were out having fun despite that it actually was quite warm already at 7 am. Mixed between cold and sunny all day but since we reached 25 C (77 F) the laundry I did dried up really fast.

I haven’t done much today besides the laundry, I’ll do the last of the heavy clothes tomorrow. My bathroom is so small that I can’t have a normal washing machine in there so instead I have one made for mobile homes, works really well but can’t take heavy clothes or sheets at the same time as other clothes. So I save those heavier things and take them one by one and tomorrow I’ve catched up with those things, yay 🙂

Well I did water the vegetables and the more sensitive plants and made an apple cobbler which turned out rather nice. Lots of cars have passed the cottage today, tomorrow is the last day before my newest neighbours move out totally. Too bad I really liked them but I do understand why they do it since the owner suddenly raised the price of the property and with quite at lot to be honest. So now all we can do is to hope the next tenant is just as good as these were. I doubt very much that anyone will buy the place since he wants almost twice to what the property is worth.

Thunder is passing north of us and it doesn’t look like they’ll be coming this way. We might have som rain during the night but it doesn’t look promising. The problem is that when it finally starts it tends to stay for weeks at a time, which is just as annoying as when it doesn’t fall at all 🙂

It is so quiet in the village now. I can hear two dogs barking from opposite sides of the village and that’s it. No birds tweeting, no katydids or grass hoppers playing their violins. The monsterkitten is already indoors eating so not even she makes a sound. The occasional bumblebee flies by the window but it looks like even the flies have a break right now. It is time for that last cup of tea and after that I’ll try and find space for all the quince trees (Cydonia oblonga) in the garden. I’m pretty sure they’ll die here during winter if it comes close to what used to be a normal winter but then again I thought my Black walnut would too and it is already the highest tree in my garden 🙂 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!

  1. The fog makes for nice photos! Hopefully all your perennials and trees will overwinter well. I am now planting fall veggies, and will experiment again with my mini greenhouses and see if I can get some nice leafy stuff, like mache, this winter.

    Cheers!

    1. Hi Carol!

Fog is the beat photo weather 🙂

It all depends on if we’ll get winters like we’re used to now days, short and cold or if we’ll get the old time winter, long and horribly cold when the ground freeze down to one yard 🙂

we can sow a few things yet and hope for the best but as before it all depends on what kind of winter we’ll get and soon we’ll have darkness most of the day.

  2. Fog photos are lovely.

Lots of yarrow (?) in one of the photos. I read that you can make tea with the flowers and drinking a couple of cups a week will make you repellant to ticks. Maybe. I think I prefer something I can spray on.

This is a test to see if FB is working here today.

    1. Hi Caryn!

Yes fog is the perfect weather to be outside taking photos, everything looks good in fog 🙂 🙂

Yes we have yarrow everywhere now 🙂

One should be careful of drinking lots of tea with yarrow because it can give bad stomach ache. The odd thing is that if one has stomach ache it also can help get rid of it 🙂 🙂
Well I could make a really strong yarrow tea and then spray it on the dogs and see what happens or just boil it in water 🙂 🙂 🙂

Did You go through an old post to do so?
