I mowed the lawn in the garden yesterday and planned to mow the outside parts today. Turns out my neighbours had mowed most of that so I think it took ten minutes to do the rest 🙂 I also, like always did the laundry, dinner for the coming week and a bread in the machine.
I did bake a bread yesterday as well but it was an almost total failure I’m afraid 🙂 🙂 I tried cheese again and also mostly used light flour plus a bit too much water. Well I toasted a few slices and then it turned out to taste pretty amazing. So for dinner I made warm sandwiches with mackerel in tomato sauce and covered it with a strong cheese. I haven’t checked how the bread turned out today but I played it safe with ingredients I know work in the machine 🙂 🙂
It has been a bit cooler today and we even had some rain drizzling down from the sky, not that it was noticeable on the ground but it did cool down the air a bit more. They’re guessing we’ll get plenty of rain the coming week but they did that last week as well and we barely had any 🙂 🙂 🙂 So we’ll know better next weekend I guess 🙂 🙂
For the rest of the day I’ve done very little. I’ve watered some plants in the garden and a few in the cottage. The almost white pawpaws are now slowly turning green and as soon as they are green I’ll place them in the shadow outside. I think I’ll have them in a window where There’s no radiator close during winter since they seem to be delicious for mice. I had some mice in the cool cellar last winter, that is until I let the monsterkitten play down there every now and again. After that no mice ate anything 🙂 🙂 🙂
It is time for a cup of tea and perhaps I’ll try a slice of the new bread as well just to be sure it’s ok 🙂

We have 3 more days of 100+F heat in Virginia, and then they say big relief coming, down to the 80s on Thursday with lower humidity. You would consider that still hot, I’m sure.
Last night we had a scary storm. I watched two trees through the skylight whipping around like they would crash any minute, and then lightning nearby and thunder that scared the cats, but then not much rain. This morning I looked outside expecting a mess from the trees, but there aren’t even any branches down. The electricity flickered once, but came right back, thankfully.
Most interesting about the storm was that I have a NOAA (national weather service) radio that beeps and announces bad weather, usually startling me to death. But for this storm it remained silent. I think Trump and Elon firing almost everybody is why.
There’s no reason why we shouldn’t be allowed to know storms may be coming unless demented Trump believes he should be the one to tell us what the weather is, no matter what’s actually happening outside.

I just don’t know how they were thinking?! By removing all those people the costs will be so much worse, especially in lives that will be lost just because those warnings have ended, makes me really angry! I’m glad nothing happened but just sitting through a storm like that and not get any info about it must be horrible.
I do hope You can get rid of trump at the next election but I am starting to worry about if there will be a fair election or one at all!

By law, Trump is not allowed to run again, although he’s said things that make it very clear he will try to stop all future elections of anybody and remain in office until he drops dead. The minute he’s not president, the various criminal cases against him that have been put on hold will resume and he’ll be sent to prison. He only ran this time to stay out of prison, and it worked.
What I don’t understand is how our vast government is totally rolling over and letting a demented criminal destroy it so that many people will die in all sorts of ways because he is cutting off everything that could help anybody. And he’s only doing it because he’s hateful, full of spite, stupid, and crazy, not for any legitimate purpose at all.
The heat is so unbearable, it’s almost impossible to do anything without sweating yourself into dehydration and feeling exhausted. And it could be like this into October or November.

I know that he c an’t have a third time but as it is now it doesn’t seem that the democrats are doing much and even if there are protests going on they don’t seem todo anything really. Thankfully there are the Epstein files that seems to make even mega people angry at him 🙂
