We had thunder all day yesterday way in to the night and torrential rain as well and I loved it, especially since none of the dogs are afraid of thunder. Instead they insist on going out and only rain can get them to quickly go indoors again 🙂 🙂 The monsterkitten didn’t seem to mind either, she even went outside when it rained 🙂

So yesterday was hot and sticky but today was and still is way worse and we also have sunshine but that actually makes it feel less horrible, it sort of dries out the air so it doesn’t feel like living in a sea, bath 🙂 Still it’s so hot that the dogs gave up on playing after just a few minutes and now they’r sleeping on the floor beside me. It has been horrible at work just because of the heat and we’re all drinking water like we were elephants 🙂 I must say it is an odd workplace in so many ways but they do make sure that we all get as much fluid replacement as we need. It doesn’t matter what taste those pills have they all taste awful but they do help and that’s the important thing.

I now have a memory foam pillow and I slept so well that My neck didn’t hurt this morning. I also got my winter duvet, a warm one according to the seller that specialises in beds and sleeping. Some time after week 32 I’ll get my new mattress pad but yesterday I got something I realised I need. I realised that when I baked bread when it was 27C (80,6F), it isn’t nice to bake bread in that temperature, so I bought a bread baking machine 🙂 I would ahem liked to tell You that the first bread was a totally success but it wasn’t 🙂 🙂

The machine has a gluten free setting so that wasn’t the problem. I need to either use the bigger loaf adjustment or less water because it hadn’t baked properly in the middle. Worked great to toast though. Unfortunately it take much longer to bake it in the machine than if I do it with the old oven, almost twice the time, so I’ll use it on Fridays and the weekend. I’ll let You know how the second loaf turns out as soon as I’ve baked it.

No tea today, it’s just too hot but thankfully I have water or lots of milk so I’ll have that instead 🙂 🙂
Have a great day!
Too bad it’s so muggy! I am surprised the cat did not mind the rain. I hope your bread machine works okay; it may keep your house cooler. Do you use it to make the bread from scratch or just put the loaf in to bake?
We have two types of strawberries here: June-bearing and everbearing. The June-bearing set a lot of fruit in early summer. The everbearing set fruit all summer long. But not very much at a time.

Hi Carol!
No wind today so it’s even worse.
I just pour all ingredients in it and the machine does the work. I’m just waiting for my second loaf to be baked, around an hour or so before it is 🙂
I must admit that I don’t know if we have the overbearing ones here or perhaps the ones I have is? No matter what I do like to get strawberries when no one else does 🙂 🙂

What exactly do you like about the memory foam pillow? Does your head sink into it while staying high under your neck?
I bought a new pillow recently that’s half hard foam, half gel, for “side sleeper.” It’s so hard, the pillowcase slips off it. The gel is supposed to keep the pillow cool, but doesn’t. I wake up with a sore neck. I hate it. Maybe memory foam would be better, so that’s why I ask.
My parents had an ancient simple bread machine I found in their pantry and started using to make them loaves of white bread the last few years they lived. They loved it for toast. The machine was very simple. Just dump in the 5-6 ingredients in a certain order (I remember the yeast went on top and wasn’t supposed to touch the water), close the lid, turn it on, and it did the mixing, kneading, rising, then baking. It would take a couple hours, but the house smelled like a bakery, which was nice.
I didn’t particularly like the bread, so after they died I put it in their estate sale and let it go because it was large and I really had nowhere to keep it.

Hi catsworking!
Yes my head sinks in but the neck is still supported. I would have had a wonderful nights sleep last night if it hadn’t been for the heat 🙂 but I did feel really well in my neck and it works just as well no matter if one sleeps on the side or on the back.Yes that’s exactly how this little machine works but I must admit that I do mix in the dry yeast in the flour and it works really fine. I do pour in the entire flour mix air the same time though.
This one is smallish but I still have no space for it 🙂 🙂 It stands on the counter when I don’t need the countertop for anything else 🙂 🙂 🙂
