It’s a Scandinavian hot day today, 27C (80,6F) and I’m not too happy about it. Too warm for a walk, the dogs just ran in to the garden and laid down on the grass when I came home. They tried to play some but gave up π I covered all windows before I left this morning with the result that it was only 24C (75,2F) indoors. Still pretty warm upstairs so I might spend the night in a sofa in the livxingroom instead.

Tomorrow will be even warmer, possibly 30C (86F) but Thursday it will fall down to just below 20C (68F) and it will also rain quite a lot if they’re guessing it right. This is still nothing compared to how hot it is down in Spain and Portugal, temperatures there reach well over 45C (113F) so I really don’t have a lot to complain about to be honest π π πΒ

I should have mowed the lawn yesterday but it was already warm so I skipped it, so I really should have mowed the lawn today but it was even warmer so no. Tomorrow will be nasty so I won’t even think about it π π π The good thing is that the dog house is placed on the north side of the wood shed so it was actually quite nice in there, so the dogs were naturally not there but in the garage instead. To be honest even though the old garage is made with tin walls and roof it still is quite cool there during hot days, can’t explain it really because it, by logic, should be hot as h..l in there, plus the dog yard is shadowed most of the afternoon by big trees just outside the fence so it wasn’t too bad there either, it will be tomorrow though.

It is time for something cool or cold to drink and then maybe some ice cream π By the way, I couldn’t get any sound coming out of this computer I bought last autumn. I’ve really tried to because it has a camera so why should it not have sound. Turns out on had to go deep in to the settings to start the speakers and now I have it π π π

Have a great day!
It’s the same here, today, too. Hot. And it will be be hotter tomorrow, I guess. I’m with you on mowing grass. I was going to mow it this morning when it was relatively cooler but today is the 1st of the month and bill paying day so No. Funny that bill paying is less painful than mowing the grass in any temperature, really. π Tomorrow will be hotter so unless I get out there by 7AM, it’s a NO, too.
One of my neighbors has a white mulberry tree. It was originally planted over 60 years ago by the owner’s father. It’s very tall and being crowded out by a walnut tree. It normally has a lot of fruit which only the birds eat these days. I have sometimes pinched a few low hanging ones while walking the dogs past it. They were sweet but not much else.

Hi Caryn!
It’s even hotter today. First they said it would be really hot, then they changed it to slightly cooler than yesterday and they still say that but it is in fact much worse π π π They show thunder tonight every second hour but no thunder otherwise π π π It’ll cool down considerable until tomorrow with lots of rain during the night they say.
So You pay bills in the beginning of the month, over here it’s usually around the 27th to the last day since most of us get paid around the 25th to 27th.
I bought this variety because it has really tasty berries but now I don’t know if it is the same that grows up or if it was grafted. Well I’ll know in a couple of years if it survives π π π

I haven’t figured out my WordPress problem and it has been 15 years since I created my account, so don’t feel bad!
I see the Monster and Malkolm are best buds.
Garden plants are erratic. My biggest issue is actually planting them, rather than letting them set about in pots. I am breaking myself of the habit of buying too many, I think.

Hi Carol!

Yes those two play all the time, Alma likes the cat but nothing more while Malkolm loves to play wit her as soon as he can π
I’m very much the same, mostly because I really don’t have the space for it π π π

What you said about getting your sound on reminded me that I had the same problem with my laptop at some point. The speaker wasn’t working, and I had to click, click, click through all sorts of junk in Windows to find a screen where I had to turn something on to make it work. I don’t remember how I did it, and I don’t know if I could ever do it again. Microsoft certainly doesn’t make it easy for users.
We are having one “cool” day here in Virginia. It’s rainy and “only” 80F (after feeling 100+F for over a week), but it’s still humid so it feels like sticky 89F. Not much of an improvement. Tomorrow it’s back to 90sF.

Hi catsworking!
I’m glad I’m not alone π π π I can tell You that Apple is just the same π I can’t figure out why they have the sound turned off, one can always turn off the sound if one wants to but turning it on is so complicated that it shouldn’t be allowed to not have it on already from the beginning π π π
Hotter here today but thankfully it’ll drop down really much until tomorrow so I might wake up to heavy showers and thunder during the night π

We actually are enjoying quite a lovely weather day on July 4, Independence Day here in the U.S. Later today we will be going to the home of friends to share the pulled pork I have in the crockpot now. They have a small porch area so we can dine outdoors. The heat returns to Nashua, NH, on Sunday and Monday. It has been nice to have this short escape

Hi Beatrice!
Just enough warm and the rain waited to fall until I had mowed the lawn, from now on we’ll have some rainy and cool days and I will enjoy it π
Sounds like a great dinner and to be able to eat outside is always really nice, did that at work today, windy and cool and so nice π I really hope we don’t get that nasty heat we had for a couple of days so this weather is perfect at the moment π
