The thunderstorm that passed by was quite fierce and three lightnings hit about 1000 yards away from the cottage. My work friend who lives up on the mountain said that it was quite exciting to see all the lightnings hitting in and around my village π

Yesterday and today however have been both rain and thunder free. The vegetation loves this so the grass is growing like crazy but I need more grass cuttings to cover my potatoes so for once I don’t wish we had a drought so I didn’t have to mow it π π π

The Magpies younglings are still having around the garden but they’ve learned how to fly shorter distances now. So when dogs and cats comes close they just fly up to the top of the trees in my garden. Their parents are still pretty noisy when they think we come too close π

We’ll have rather mixed weather here this week, we’ll get everything from sunshine to heavy rain and the temperature will stay just below 20C (68F) according to the weather sites. Β It might even drop down to 14C (57,2F) as lowest on Saturday. That’s how summers used to be when I was a kid but nowadays that sounds awfully cold π

It is time for that last cup of tea and then. watching some tv I think.
Have a great day!
The morning mist photos were worth the wait! Glad you found them. Summer is beginning to kick in here, so I know what you mean about all the mowing. Weβve had a wet, cool Spring, so now the grass is going nuts with some warmth.

Hi Goodport!
I just couldn’t figure out why I didn’t have them in the camera π π
This is what summers used to look like here even though they started a month later than it did this year. chilly and rainy and with a bit of luck we had a week or so with over 68F temperatures π π I don’t think I would like to go back to that again π π

The flowers look happy. The misty photo of the pine tree almost looks like a ship coming in to port. My daughter also puts grass clippings on top of the potatoes. It surprises me because I thought the clippings might get too hot decomposing.

Hi Carol!
I think they are but considering how many seeds I’ve sown they are surprisingly few. I’ll let them self sow and the new plants will grow well where they think it’s best for them π
That’s what I like with misty photos, it starts up our imagination π
Over here heat from decomposing grass is a minor problem plus that it looks like a lot of grass but it’s very fluffy after I’ve poured it out. With the weather and temperatures we have now I think it even will make it nicer for the potatoes π π
