It was so nice this morning, a bit towards the cool side but with the sun shining and a rather weak wind. That has changed now, the wind is strong once again and even though it actually is warm enough it still feels chilly even on the south side of the cottage when the sun shines through the clouds.

So since I must change my hours to stay awake in the evening now I watched the entire Eurovision final. It really takes too long but I had very little else to do. We didn’t win but came fourth and that’s not bad at all. My sister and I usually text each other during this show and suddenly no texts came from her, she had fallen asleep π and texted me this at 4:56 this morning (we are both morning people) since I had forgotten to tell her that I’ll work in the evenings this week π Luckily I did manage to fall asleep as son as my head hit the pillow π

I’ve been emptying my aquarium since the dogs mainly will be in the cottage while I work the coming weeks and since there now longer is any fish in it I decided to empty it instead of buying new fish. One never knows how wild the dogs play will be and if they bring down the aquarium I want the damage to be as small as possible π I’ll also unplug the radiators because they have actually once managed to trip over one of my sofas and it broke the radiator when it hit it π π π I always prepare for the worst π

It is time for a cup of tea and then outing the garden for a while. I’ll tray to stay out of the wind and it isn’t often I have to say that because the wind can only hit my garden if it comes from north to north east.

Have a great day!
Love your photos today. The dogs are handsome but no Sara. Hope you can get adjusted to the new hours

I like the new lens! The second photo in todayβs newsletter with the posts in the background – youβve posted a similar photo in the past and I had the same reaction then as I did to the photo you posted today – the three holes in the post look like a little ermine face to me. So when I initially see the photo, I think, βCool! How did he get a photo of an ermine?β And then I look again and think, βOh wait, it just a post.β. Ha!
Have a good week. Hopefully working the later hours wonβt be too difficult.

Hi clralexva!
I’m not a big fan of it but I think it would work great to photograph roses and other big flowers. A bit fuzzy, sun behind and a few dew drops on the petals π
It’s actually an old tree stump and I call it the ghost tree or sometimes the haunted tree π π π Ermines are hard to photograph and it usually pure luck if it happens π
First evening was quite ok π

I’ve only had one cat (Fred, the white cat I mentioned who’s now a ghost) who liked to, or would, climb a ladder. I have a 3-step stool I use multiple times a day with nice wide steps, yet none of the cats has ever gone near it. I thought they’d be all over it. So, Sarah has a talent with ladders.
Beautiful portraits of Alma and Malkolm today, too! Your slightly blurry photos have an impressionist look.
Best wishes on working the late shift. Adjusting your lifestyle and sleep schedule for that isn’t easy, especially with animals who live their own schedules by the sun. No matter how late I go to bed, my cats wake me up at the same time, even if it means I only get 4-5 hours of sleep.

Hi catsworking!
The two previous cat I had also climbed ladders but none of the rest. The monster kitten really wanted to see why the house sparrows had a fight π
The first evening worked fine though but I doubt I’ll feel the same on Thursday π Normally I go to bed at nine pm and up around 4:30 am so it is a big change.

Christer, I did look at the ladder photo again to find Sara, she was well hidden. I read about the winner in the Eurovision competition and then watched some of his performance, which was not to mention liking so I wondered about the runners up π Good plan to move the things that ight get damaged or knocked over while you are not home and hope the shift change isn’t too difficult for a while. i read another comment about a new lens and ust have missed that post, so will check older ones.

Hi Beatrice!
I feel the same about the winner and who will remember what it sounds like in a few weeks?
It turns out that they had behaved really well all evening π
I wrote about the new lens beneath the first photo, no info about it though just that I tried a lens that I wanted to try but I had to buy another older camera to get it π π
