Still very windy with northern winds but today they were almost lukewarm. We only work to 2:30 pm on Fridays so I had the chance to experience it for a while πŸ™‚ We walked down to the creek and thankfully the winds were so strong that the forest flies never came to us.

I had forgotten to buy toothpaste and a toothbrush yesterday when I was at the store so I had to make a stop at the smaller grocery store in Gudhem. They only had toothbrushes for kids πŸ™‚ but any toothbrush is better than none πŸ™‚ I’ll get a bigger one next time I’ll go to the supermarket. I was supposed to work overtime tomorrow but they had missed that lots of people at work are going out to have fun tonight so they had to cancel it. I must admit that I’m quite happy that they did, it’s one thing to say ok on Monday because one never knows how tired one will be on Friday evening πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I’ll work the evening shift next week and it’s a long time since I did that. It usually messes up the sleep for a while but since this only will happen every three weeks I’ll take it without complaining, at first they said it would be every second week. It would have worked for a while but I’m pretty sure it would have been too much in the long run. When one need a job one has to take what one gets πŸ™‚ I have had another call from a staffing agency but I really like this place so I didn’t answer the call.

I often get the question if it isn’t scary to work with coffins all over the factory but it’s just like working with boxes to be honest. I guess there’s just too much of them. The only time it gets a bit sad is when one need to pass the coffins for children. Especially the tiny ones but thankfully they work with them in a part of the factory we seldom pass.

It is time to have that last cup of tea, today I need to start wit being up late so it won’t be a shock for the body on Monday πŸ™‚ Also later breakfast tomorrow and dinner tomorrow as well.

Have a great day!

  1. Hi Christer!

As always, I really love your photos of walks with the dogs. It’s great to see everything blooming.

I noticed something unusual in one photo. Whether you count down from the first photo in this post or count up from the last photo in this post, look at the photo that is the ninth one. If you look beyond the water, in the grass at the top of the photo, almost in the top center, I can see a face. It has a bit of dark hair and pale skin. It immediately made me think of the non-human Beings that you have described.

I rarely see something like that in photos but this face was so obvious. I’m curious to hear your thoughts about this.

    1. I see the face, too. But I’m able to enlarge the photo and it appears to be markings on a slender tree trunk. However, it does stand out as a white face if you notice it.

I read something a long time ago somewhere that said humans always look for faces in everything. And I notice that if I stare at my bathroom floor for a while, which is textured, I start seeing faces in the pattern.

But on this blog, after seeing what looked like a troll in one photo some weeks ago, I now look for them.

      1. Yes, enlarging photos usually clarifies the context of what is seen in a photo like this; I never assumed it wasn’t wood on a tree or some natural plant material of a light brown or tan hue. As a trained photographer, I don’t look for faces in photos – I’m focussed on form, composition, contrasting hues, whether in color or black and white. I never see or look for faces in photos unless the face is in a portrait or scene where humans are included.

I mentioned this here because Christer often speaks about Swedish traditional beliefs about the presence of Beings sharing the landscape with humans living there.

      2. Not implying that you were seeing something not there. It definitely looks like a face. I think we get a lot of that on these ghost hunting TV shows where someone sees something similar and they conclude it’s definitely a ghost. The human mind tends to see faces in things just out of habit, as I said I do with my bathroom floor.

The eye and perspective of someone who’s a painter or photographer would be totally different and see different aspects, as you said.

    2. Hi Denali Sam!

I’m glad You like them πŸ™‚

That is actually an old log, Birch I think it is πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ It would have been cool if it had been a being though πŸ™‚
I quite often see things I think is one thing but when passing it turns out it was just a log or a bush or something. It has also happened that I’ve photographed something I actually didn’t see when taking the photo πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      1. Photographing something I didn’t see in the moment has happened to me twice in exactly the same way. Both times, it was at Christmas in a year where one of my cats had died and I had gotten a new cat to take their place. I took a photo of a new cat, and one large white orb appeared floating near it.

All my cats have always loved Christmas, with the tree and all the new stuff to check out.

You could say the orb was dust, but I’ve taken hundreds, if not thousands, of photos of cats in my house and these were the only 2 times orbs showed up. I think they were the departed cats checking out the new guys. In later pictures of the new cats over the years, orbs never appeared again.

I do think some of my departed cats stop by occasionally, and the current cats can see them. I’ve had other experiences that can’t be explained any other way.

      2. Hi catsworking!

I’m pretty sure Your departed cats comes for visits every now and again and I’m also sure my old dogs do the same here πŸ™‚ Like when I’m out in my garden and feel something lean towards my legs even though I can see the dogs I have at that moment so it isn’t anyone of them πŸ™‚ Orbs or no orbs, they do come to visit us πŸ™‚

      3. I have had the brushing against legs. I was standing at the sink, felt it, looked down and saw a white cat, but my white cat was asleep on a chair in the living room (I checked). It had to be the spirit of my previous white cat named Fred, who was very bonded to me.

Also, I sometimes feel them jump on the bed so distinctly that I sit up to see which cat it is, but no one’s there.

I’ll be very interested to hear Christer’s response to both of our comments.
