Warmer nights again.

Yesterday I saw the mosnterkitten up the road having a chat with another cat but then I remembered that she never followed us outside. So this cat to the left must be a sibling to her πŸ™‚

We were so close to having frost again last night that we almost could touch it, it must have been those very thin clouds that saved us from it.Mostly grey and dull today but suddenly the sun shone through the clouds at the same time I came home. So the dogs and I had a really nice walk down to the creek.

The birds were singing and it would have been odd if they hadn’t since this is the time of year when they really are supposed to do that. We even saw a roe deer goat, which I’ve learned the females are called, only the bigger deer have doe and the moose is called a cow for some reason. I wonder why the aren’t called the same since they all belong to the deer?

Yesterday I finally forced me to bring out all the cardboard boxes to the car, most of them were already opened up and mad flat but it still took me almost 30 minutes to get them all into the car πŸ™‚ Mostly because I dropped so many on the ground before reaching the car, why not try to bring them all at the same time πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

The night temperatures will finally be well above frost again, it didn’t feel right to have to remove ice from the car when days have been so warm, it was like we had taken several steps backwards in to winter again and since I didn’t have to remove any ice from my car during winter it really didn’t feel nice at all πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and perhaps we’ll hear who the new pope is, I’m not catholic but I’m still curious πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

  1. Before I went freelance and worked from home, my most dreaded chore was scraping ice off the car to go to work. Even now, I try my best never to have appointments in the morning when it’s cold so I won’t have to scrape. I wish I had a garage.

I was shocked when they announced the pope is American, and not in a good way at first. If he were real conservative or Southern (Civil War sore loser, pro-Nazi), he might agree with what Trump’s doing. So, I was relieved he’s from Chicago (tough northern city) and spent years in Peru. He might give Trump and Catholic so-called “Christians” who are fine with Trump’s unChristian cruelty a good smack-down at some point.

In fact, I think this man may have been chosen to retaliate for Trump’s disgusting image of himself as pope. The cardinals may know Pope Leo XIV will not tolerate such disrespect and nonsense – and he’s fluent in English.

    1. Hi cats working!

I’ll have to wait for retirement or the big lottery winning to be able to plan like that πŸ™‚ Then again our winters are usually long so that might not work anyway πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I used to have a garage but then the dogs dug their way in so now it’s an indoor dog years instead πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I’ve read that the new pope actually lectured Vance about some things he had wrong πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ If Vance cared don’t know but it looks like this is a good guy! Then again Maga people will most likely not care much anyway but at least they will hear what the new pope says whether they like it or not πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  2. Glad to read that you have warmed up, Christer, but here it’s the same old, same old, a lot of β˜”οΈ. yesterday and today and Saturday with possible sunshine by Sunday.

I was raised Catholic an the saying goes “Once a Catholic…” so I was very pleased not only to learn that the new pope is American, but that he is a relatively youngish age and apparently very active in playing tennis and other sports.

    1. Hi Beatrice!

It will continue to warm up for a short while then a new cold front will arrive but it looks like nights will stay above frost temperatures though πŸ™‚

Yes he’s only 69 I think and that’s pretty young for a pope.

From what I’ve heard he isn’t a mega fan either and that makes me really pleased πŸ™‚
