Snow is slowly melting away again.

A cold night followed by a sunny morning today, there was no wind when I let the dogs out after we woke up and no wind when I drove to the supermarket. I prefer to go grocery shopping early in the morning when the place hasn’t that many costumers, very few customers are younger than 60 at that time in the morning πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

The weather seems just right for the spruce cones to open up and start spreading their seeds.

There was no one before me when I reached the cashier and no one followed after me when I was done πŸ™‚ It showed in the traffic as well, I didn’t have a single car behind me when I drove back home. I looked towards the lake but could just see photographers with lenses bigger than I thought was possible I guess You need those big ones if You want to photograph the first cranes of the year, later on one can use any camera because the birds walks just a few steps away πŸ™‚

So our morning walk started a bit late and the wind had started to blow but just a little, that has changed now, it’s not like it’s a storm passing by but I think I can say that the wind was a bit brisk πŸ™‚ We walked mostly in the forest though so the worst thing that happened was that big chunks of snow fell down from the trees and covered us in it instead πŸ™‚

The new neighbours are moving in today, they have a small lorry or perhaps I should call it bigger pickup truck? I’ve just seen the vehicle but not those moving in so we still have no idea what they look like πŸ™‚ Β I guess that if the morning walk is at the right time tomorrow I’ll see them sit in the kitchen having breakfast when we pass πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ The beekeeper removed the hedge when he moved in so we can see straight in to the kitchen when we walk by πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

It is time for that last cup of tea but I ‘ve just had my dinner so I’ll skip anything edible this time, I won’t even have a banana this time πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

  1. Hi Christer, I have fallen behind in blog reading the past couple of weeks, so early today decided to spend time catching up, but won’t be able comment on every previous post. It was surprising to read about and see the photos of the recent snowfall especially after reading about the nicer and warmer weather earlier and I suspect you felt the same knowing your views on winter weather😏 It seems you won’t have to worry about Sara going out in the snow based on her first venture.

Glad to have read you have been feeling better after your cold as there is a lot of flu going around, thankfully not for Grenville and myself. Good luck as well on the job applications you have been submitting. It was odd to read about the place that wanted your high school grades! You may be right in your comment that they want younger people vs, experienced workers and how sad is that.

Hope that spring returns soon and decides to stay especially as the cranes are backπŸ˜€

    1. Hi Beatrice!

We do have a life to live as well πŸ™‚

This kind of weather used to continue all through April back in the days, actually last April. A snow storm arrived and we had around 16 inches of snow during one day πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Spring sprung really early this year. No she wasn’t a big fan of snow but now when it’s melting away she looks interested again πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I only have the cough left and it isn’t that bad any longer. Swine flu is hitting kids right now, one thing I won’t get since I had it a couple of years ago.
I do hope I could get that job I went for an interview, I know the place and I can torment my old work friends every Friday since I would stop working two hours earlier than they do πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
Yes I think that must be what they wanted, I know I have them somewhere but still haven’t found them πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I would say that expect the cold nights spring has returned, warmer days and lots of sunshine now πŸ™‚

  2. Forgot to add that I have finally noticed above the comments about which camera you are using when you are out and about. Sometimes, the most obvious things seem to escape me even when looking right at themπŸ˜•

Years ago, when I was doing black and shite photography, my camera of choice was the 35mm Pentax Spotmatic, which I really liked. Later, I had a Canon digital Rebel and then switched to a Pentax digital camera along with assorted lenses. Now, the cameras I own are all digital with a fixed lens.

    1. To be honest it took me quite some time to find that place, I don’t read the smaller texts beneath the posts that often πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

We do get our favourite cameras, well brands really πŸ™‚ but I do have lots of older ones I really like but since I don’t have a job I’ve slowed down using them since it does cost a lot.
