Roaring winds all night.

A Hazel in bloom, lost of allergic people now have problems.

I didn’t get a good night sleep last night, I was woken up several times by the roaring in the trees, still no wind in my garden though since all wind hit my neighbours cottage and garage πŸ™‚ Β Much less wind when we finally could go out for our morning walk. From what I could see al the trees had managed to still stand up.

I went to the grocery store yesterday morning and left both dogs in the dog yard and the evening before Malkolm and I slept without being leashed during the night. Malcolm’s injection seems to have kicked in rather well and Nova is just not interested any more. Since a similar thing happened back in the days and My Erna later had puppies I know nothing happened during the time I was away πŸ™‚

The reason I eventually decided to bring the dogs was because the last time I drove, before the cold hit me my car started to beep every time I drove in a steep up hill road. Didn’t tell me why though, it just beeped until it was less steep for flat ground I was driving on. Really annoying and I think it is a French car thing πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ It wasn’t too hard to figure out what it was though since it only happened when driving uphill. It must be a fluid and I can only think of three ones. Either it’s for the brakes but then it would have warned as soon as the car started, or it must be the motor oil but the level was good there as well.

So it could only be the coolant level. There’s never any problem seeing the level in a new car but more tricky in an older. So I poured in some more just before driving to the grocery store. No more beeping πŸ™‚ I didn’t have to fill especially much at all so I mostly felt annoyed when I had to πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Back in the days we only had a blue coolant but now days we have red ones as well and I have no idea if they work together or not πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I don’t think the blue and red mix together but what about the different brands in either colour? What actually happens if mixing the wrong kinds together? I need to ask that next time I’ll have to go to the garage!

It is time for that last cup of tea and I bought bananas yesterday so I might have one of those as well. Too green yet for my taste, I don’t mind if they have brown spots.

The Croci show everywhere now.
It looks like all three Camellias have survived the winter but spring is the big killer here so it’s too early to say yippie yet.
Many years of dogs running along the hedge shows now πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

  1. I like to buy bananas green-almost barely yellow because I can never eat then all before they get spotty. I put them in a brown paper bag and they ripen slowly over the days it takes me to eat them (usually 4-5 days). I actually prefer them when they are not too sweet and soft.

I’ve read that Princess Anne of England loves bananas that are ripe to rotten because they’re easier to digest. The cook slices the skin open, then pushes it aside lengthwise and slices the banana so she can eat it from the peel with a fork.

Just some banana trivia for you!

    1. Hi cats working!

I love bananas so I buy them as yellow as possible πŸ™‚ They never last for long here πŸ™‚

I didn’t know that, personally I just like the much sweeter taste older bananas have.
Always fun to learn something new πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  2. Here in my part of the northeast US, very strong blustery, gusty winds woke me up repeatedly last night too, Christer! I’m actually shocked that we didn’t have a big power outage during the night. The wind hasn’t been too bad this morning.

It’s good to see your spring croci coming up & to see that your camellias made it through the winter. I’m holding thumbs & crossing fingers that the camellias survive the spring too.

    1. Hi Denali Sam!

      Sounds nasty!
This used to be an area where there were lots of power outages but then they lead power from two more places to here and after that the longest we’ve been without power here was during the biggest storm we’ve had in centuries only lasted for two hours. Other places weren’t that lucky and was without power for two months

They not only showed, today I found several in bloom, yesterday I didn’t even see a single bud πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
