Why did they waste paper on that?

The “lake” behind the dog yard.

We’ve had sunshine for one and a half day!!! It felt like walking around in another world, birds were singing, the air smelled wonderful and I even felt a hope that the world soon would turn back to its normal violent self without that fat orange man creating chaos. Now the grey and duck weather has returned but they’re guessing next week will give us lots of sunshine. We’ll see if that happens.

I got a letter from my phone company that said the order was done. I had absolutely idea what that meant but wasn’t too worried because it didn’t cost anything 🙂 🙂 It drove me slightly crazy though not to know what it was so I called the company. Even they were a bit confused (and I didn’t have to wait for more than three minutes until I got help?!!) but then we realised that I had created a new e-mail address and that must be what the order was 🙂 🙂 Why on earth do they send me over five pages to tell me that, without actually telling me what it was 🙂 🙂  🙂

Then the guy said: You’re paying an awful lot for Your internet, both the phone and the computer, so now they’ll send me a new router with 5G connection, we lowered the amount of data for the phone but I now have unlimited amount for the computer and this will cost me around $ 25 US a month less than before. Normally I would perhaps not bothered that much but now when I’m unemployed I took it. Apparently this new router will have an antenna and I have a wild monster kitten, could be fun to try and get the best signal for the router 🙂 🙂 🙂

I also called the vet so that Sara can be neutered and Malkolm get a chemical neutering that will last for six months because soon Alma will be in heat. They couldn’t answer but the answering machine said to leave a message and they would call me back. Two hours passed and no call back. I’ll have to call again on Monday so it gets done. I don’t like this chemical thing, one never know what hormones will do besides what it should but since the prices are so insanely high it must be done this time.

I also went to the grocery store in the village where I used to work this morning. I’ve done my grocery shopping there since I moved to this region. 27 years now, so even if it is a bit far to go there I still want to do it every now and again. After that I went to the factory and had a chat with all my old work friends and they aren’t happy. Very little to do in most parts of the factory. The main problem though is the same as when I worked there, the leadership. If You’re a leader in a work place Your job is to make people feel they are important and make them like the workplace, that isn’t happening there I’m afraid.

The sun is actually already giving away some heat noe, a bit early but I like it, nights the temperature can drop down to -8 C (17,6F) This is a season we call Springwinter. Not spring because it is still too cold at nights but not winter either because it is too warm during the days. A prefect season for picnics 🙂

It is time for a last cup of tea and then my favourite show on tv.

Have a great day!

  1. I particularly love your photos of moss. My yard has a lot of oak trees and I’ve never been able to grow grass, but I have a lot of moss. When my yard guy comes with his riding mower, he’s always trying to break his speed record and does sharp turns that tear the moss completely out. It’s infuriating because it takes years to grow back. Nothing I say makes him stop, though.

When I worked for companies (before I went freelance in 2002 and worked from home), I got laid off, fired and quit more jobs than I can remember. I would be upset when it happened, but most of the time, I ended up in a better situation. I believe with jobs that things happen for a reason. You’ll probably find yourself ahead of your former co-workers in the end because you will have found a better job by the time they decide to leave or get fired, and by then, jobs may be harder to find. At least, that’s how it usually worked with me when I left a bad situation and co-workers chose to stay in it for the paycheck, thinking they were safe. They weren’t.

    1. Hi cats working!

I do too and I would love to have moss in my garden but two dogs running around like crazy everywhere stops that 🙂 So in many places I don’t even have grass, just soil 🙂

Well I wouldn’t worry at all if I was younger, but sixty year old people aren’t directly sought after when the economy is bad 🙂 or otherwise either 🙂 🙂 I don’t care much at the moment though, especially with flu’s, colds and the winter vomit disease running around 🙂
I’ll like where I’ll work as long as the work friends are good 🙂

It’s never safe to be honest, not even in good times.

  2. aren’t there any animal organizations that offer lower cost or free spaying and neutering for pets? here our wonderful Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has had such programs for lower income and/or unemployed people for years. i really don’t like the sound of that chemical neutering drug! 😬

    1. Hi Mandolin mama!

I think I heard about that perhaps fifteen years ago but never since.

I don’t like it either! It is what I can afford right now and still have money left if an emergency comes so I’ll have to accept it no matter what. I do like puppies but they are exhausting 🙂 🙂 🙂 plus the fact that the economy is so bad that I probably would sit here with all the puppies anyway, it is really hard to let them go 🙂 🙂 🙂

  3. Sara, the monster kitten, sure did look sweet in that last photo. I hope you will be able to arrange all the vet appointments and not have them be too costly, but keeping pets healthy can sometimes be more expensive than for human needs.

Great photos of the light and shadows in the forest, Christer. It was hard to select a favorite as I enjoyed all.

    1. Hi Beatrice!

She sure do look sweet 🙂
We’re going to the vet on Thursday, Malcolm willet his treatment, Sara will get her surgery and Alma will come along since she can’t be left alone, she would either tear down the dog yard or the cottage. Last time we were at the vet with her she was so loud no one could hear a thing and that was while she was in the car with the other dogs 🙂 🙂 🙂 She is the most wonderful dog here at home but just the opposite everywhere else 🙂 🙂 🙂
It will cost an arm and a leg but will still be cheaper than the alternative.

I’m glad You like them 🙂
