  1. Ticks are horrid just because of the diseases they carry. Here we have a place where you can send a tick you’ve picked off yourself and it will test the tick to see what diseases it may have. I also add the tick bite event to my Calendar because it takes 6 to 8 weeks for things like Alpha Gal Syndrome and Powassan to show up. We live in weird times when we’re taping ticks to note cards and mailing them off to a lab. 😄
It’s been very dry here. The weather has been beautiful with moderate temperatures and no rain. It’s 84⁰F now. This weekend is graduation ceremonies for a lot of towns and cities so of course there will be thunderstorms.

    1. Hi Caryn!

Yes they are but we don’t have the service so we can send those ticks to be checked for diseases. That’s something we really should have! We don’t have the Powassan here thankfully but we do have the other one, didn’t know that. Seems we have at least two hundred people suffering from that here but what I know they’ve never written about it in any news paper or no information from the authorities either 😦

I know those living higher up then me have really dry ground but I live so close to the bog and all water runs down through my garden so it’s rather ok here. There’s only one place, where all those roses, sloe and false spirea grew that is really dry. Unfortunately that doesn’t stop the old roots from giving me new shoots 🙂 🙂

The graduations starts here next week so I guess we’ll get that weather from You then 🙂 I won’t go to any graduation so I would be happy if we did get rain 🙂

      Have a great day!
