More old photos.

The photos doesn’t come in any particular order, like age or so. It tends to be that the smaller they are the older they are. I can’t remember the password so I can’t reach the photos from my oldest blog unfortunately.

I have nothing much to say really, the wetaher has been nice but today is a bit chilly and we even had some drizzle on my way home and a while after I had come home.

Nova, she quite the spitting image of Erna but just half the size 🙂 Too bad that the harness covers the white that Nova also has on her chest 🙂

Work has been flowing nicely and I have had the big gate open when ever I’ve had the chance, like today when I cleaned some things I was about to paint. The sun was shining then and all that nice warm sunshine filled the place.

Bäcken orvar och hector

The swallows have arrived and they nest beneath the roof just outside where I paint and where all goods are delivered or shipped away. I do like them but they poop a lot and it’s hard to remove after just an hour or so. Plus they can spread salmonella with their poop so mask is always worn when cleaning it off.

Today I’m showing more old photos from when I had this blog at another place, blogger. Some are from 2008 and very small. I have all these photos in the laptop I can’t remember the password for though 🙂 🙂 I really need to find some place that can help me open it up again so I can get photos from old Sickan and Viran too.

This is Öivind, later on renamed to Maxi. He was the father of Orvar and Hector and unfortunately their mother was Erna, Öivinds sister 🙂 🙂 🙂

    Hi Christer,
    I did remember Erna’s name but I don’t remember seeing her on the blog even though the time between her and Nova was short. Sicken and Viran have been mentioned before but I never saw any photos of them until now.
    You have black toads?!? How very Mordor of you. 😀
    Swallows are fascinating to watch especially when the young have fledged. At my old barn, they nested inside in the rafters of the hay lofts totally ignoring the nesting racks that had been put up under the roof overhangs especially to attract them. The barn doors were kept open so they could fly in an out as needed. The new fledged young would play catch in the air with a down feather. One would drop it and another one would fly up and catch it then that one would drop it for another.
    The weather here today is perfect. Sunny, no wind, 68ºF. Doors and windows are open.

      Hi Caryn!

      It was just a few weeks between Erna and Nova. I had decided not to have any new dog here until the vacation but when I met her I just couldn’t say no 🙂

      To be honest, our toads are more dark brown than black. Hector once ate one and that was two really fun visits to the vet 🙂 🙂 🙂 First he threw up it and when we came back home he ate it again 🙂 🙂 🙂

      I really enjoy the swallows, they used to nest beneath the roof just outside my window but boy do they crap a lot 🙂

      Was supposed to be very warm and cloud free today, it was cloudy and somewhat chilly instead.

    I Chriser,
    I remember Erna but she was always old Erna when I first met her. I don’t remember Sicken or Viran. They must have been before I found you. I knew all your black dogs were somehow related. I also enjoyed the pictures of those dogs from back then.

    I ave never seen toads like that. Mine are all conventional. I did once see a black fox, not the same as black frogs but quite unique and rare.

    The longer Nala is out, the more I am sure she is up to something. Tonight it was both dogs in the yard. When I went looking, I noticed Nala had something in her mouth. I didn’t go into the yard to check as I know from past critters she’d run, and I’d never catch her. I went out a bit later and found a dead baby squirrel on the deck. I tossed it out of the yard. Later I found a second one. I had to think the nest must have fallen somehow. Henry had one but dropped it when I told I’m to. It got tossed as well. I felt pretty bad about those babies.

      Viran and Sickan did move here but both were gone by the time we found each other.
      Yes they were. Viran was the grandmother of Albin and Orvar and mother of Erna. Erna was both Orvars and Hectors mother but also their aunt 🙂 🙂 🙂

      Well our toads aren’t black but very dark brown.

      The same with Alma, if she’s quiet and stays out longer she’s up to no good 🙂 :-)She has however stopped stealing things and doesn’t chew shoes either, at least a few things that turned to the better 🙂 🙂 So far she hasn’t taken any baby animals or animals at all thankfully.
