Category: Windy.

A winter day.

-10 C (14 F) when we went out for our morning walk, the sun was supposed to shine from early morning until it set so naturally we only had sunshine for an hour. The wind wasn’t strong but had a nasty bite to it so it was a relief when we could walk in to the forest.

We walked down to the creek but the opposite way than usual so that we only had to walk in the cold wind at the beginning of our walk. I could see how the clouds above our head stopped just before the mountain so those living on the other side of it or at the top had sunshine all the time during our walk 🙂 🙂 🙂 I noticed that the water level is really high now and when we reached the little bridge that allows us to continue with our walk along the creek it was almost totally covered in ice.

So we walked up the field to see if there was any place we could pass and then walk down to the creek again. I unfortunately thought I had found such a place but the brink of that ditch broke and my left foot sunk down into it 🙂 🙂 🙂 It looks like I had taken very good care of the boots because I didn’t get wet inside the shoe at all.  Still my boot smells s bit of bog and so does my trousers 🙂 🙂 🙂 On the way back home we passed some working horses, the forest owner almost always hires a guy who works with horses in the forest to make as little damage as possible. Alma wanted to become hysterical but lots of treats made her manage it well 🙂

I’ve read in a couple of places that before we started to have christmas trees in our homes people tended to bring in smaller crab apple trees instead. If they planned it right the little apple tree would start to flower at christmas. So today I went outside and started to prune my seed sown apple tree. I’ve shaped it in a fan shape so it doesn’t grow too wide into the cow pasture beside. The cows will chew away those branches growing there anyway.

When You prune fruit trees like apples and pears only take a third of what is needed. If You take more the tree will do anything to get back all those leafs that it has lost and do it in autumn because that’s when the tree prepares to slow down before winter and won’t realize that it has lost all those leafs. Then next year take half of what You want to remove and the third year the rest, after that just check every now and again if something needs to be removed. Anyway I’ll take in some of those branches I cut of and put in a big vase and see if I can manage to make it flower till christmas 🙂

The ice cream lorry is on the way so I’ll go outside to buy some to have on christmas eve morning 🙂

Have a great day!

Northern winds today.

So dark outside.

Time just flew away yesterday and I blame that on the only sport I watch on tv, Biathlon. For those of You who don’t know what that is it is cross country skiing combined with shooting with a rifle on targets. To be honest it is strange that I am so fascinated in this sport because I’m a Conscientious objector and really dislikes cross country skiing 🙂 🙂 🙂 I never sleep as well as I do in front of cross country ski competition 🙂 🙂 🙂

They normally have these competitions in the mornings but for some reason they had them in in the afternoon this time, so I forgot to check the clock and when I finally did it was too late to start writing anything. Well nothing much had happened anyway and it was much the same today. The weather isn’t anything but fun. So dark and gloomy today that I had to use ISO 5000 to be able to take any descent photos. If You don’t know what ISO one usually use it’s normally around 200 on a bright day.

My hardy Rosemary. So far it has managed to survive down to almost -13 C (8,6 F).

It took some time before we could have our morning walk today, it rained around the time the sun is supposed to show itself and the clouds were so thick that very little light managed to reach us here on the ground. They did thin out some thankfully, otherwise I would have stayed at home 🙂

I saw a picture of a Werewolf earlier today and came to think of how our folklore describes them. I can’t find anything that if someone was bitten by a werewolf they too became one. There were some other ways that I’ll describe later on but mostly it was because someone had cursed a person to become one or if one knew ones way with magic one could transform to one by oneself. Usually they did that if they by looking like an animal would kill an enemy but it wasn’t only a wolf they could transform too, a bear was also something they could become. When someone had become a werewolf or (were) bear they usually had a lighter color than normal bears or wolves.

We walked in on one of all the small side roads to the gravel road down to the creek and found this small piece of bog.

There were a few different ways to get free from this and the easiest one would be if someone saw You and thought they knew this wolf they just screamed out his name three times. One could also be killed by a silver bullet or the worst one they had to kill a pregnant woman and eat the child, must have been a nasty way for someone who had been cursed to become a werewolf. Life wasn’t easier back in the days 🙂 🙂 🙂

I hope Your First of Advent was a good day and now we’re looking forward to the second 🙂

Have a great day!

The sun is slowly rising.

Very windy here again but we had sunshine for quite some time and the temperature was at least above freezing. We walked down to the creek because I wanted to see if I could find where they had cut down trees. We walked up-stream and they had thinned out the smaller trees that grew along the creek but they must have been elsewhere too because the sound they make while working kept on for much longer than what these few trees could demand.

Still some time before I can see it.

In one way I don’t like it when they do like this along the creeks here but then again it is most likely some rule/law they follow by doing it. Also now it’s much easier to take photos of the creek up there too 🙂 A while ago they put up a caravan, well that’s not the right name for it, it’s green and looks like one of those green barracks they have by construction sites. There’s three holes on one side of it and three hunters can sit in it at the same time. They have also put up a feeding station around 20 meters (much the same in yards) away from it, I guess it’s for when they hunt wild hogs. It doesn’t seem especially sporty having it that close but we do have lots of hogs here now.

Alma behaved rather well today, Just a little whining and the occasional husky talk, that’s odd because there’s no husky in her 🙂 🙂 She did pull the leash too much but I’ll take one battle at the time, to fight both her loud whining/shouting and pulling the leash is a bit to much 🙂 🙂 🙂 Unfortunately when she pulls the leash Malkolm starts to do the same but he’s easier to communicate to. He follows every track he can and gets a bit exited so he forgets that he actually can follow tracks even if he walks calmly 🙂 🙂 🙂

The dogs and the little monster has been playing all over the cottage today, they’ve been running up and down the stairs, having fights in my bed (I still haven’t checked how it looks there now 🙂 🙂 ) and Sara the monster cat has followed me down to the cool cellar and always refused to come back up to the kitchen at the same time I me. Normally it takes two minutes before she starts to scream behind the door but sometimes up to half an hour 🙂 I forgot about it when we had our morning walk so she must have been sitting there for one and a half hour 🙂 🙂

Back in the days when the dogs living with me and were quiet dogs on our walks 🙂 We sometimes surprised deer sleeping here in the sunshine. They all knew these dogs so they rarely bothered to move when they noticed us 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day. Nothing to watch on tv I’m afraid but I do have lots of dvd’s I haven’t looked at yet. I always buy a few just to have when we have days there isn’t anything to watch on tv (and no I don’t stream), the problem is that I always forget about them 🙂 Good thing to have at Christmas though 🙂

Have a great day!

Christmas isn’t that far away.

Less than one month to christmas or Jul (Yule) as we call it and it is even less left until it stops getting darker and turns toward longer days again. Even though December is just as grey and dreary as any winter month it still feels better just because Christmas really starts at December first. People put up the electric Advent stars and electric Advent candlestick in the windows, some decorate with lights in their gardens, most just a few light chains but at some go all american as we say and decorate with so much strains and figures that most of us say: Yeah their electrical bill will cost a fortune 🙂 🙂 🙂

Mixed photos today because the weather has been nasty with strong winds and rain. Warm though with over 10 C (50 F) temperature. This is from a film camera called Agfa Ambi Silette.

Most outside decorations are pure white but some do get multi colored ones and I really like that. Back in the days people who used colored lights in any christmas decorations were seen as a bit odd, perhaps even tasteless 🙂 🙂 🙂 I’m so glad we aren’t that hysterical now days 🙂 🙂 🙂 A lot of people have already started with the decorations of course and it seems as the younger they are the earlier they start which of course more conservative people think destroys the joy and believe that people will get tired of it too early, too bad that those making christmas tv commercials are more conservative because those adds are already tiresome I think since they started in late October 🙂 🙂 🙂

These photos were taken with a camera called Agfa Ambiflex.

However the advent candlestick with live candles must be prepared before Sunday. I usually have one but I never light the candles, I have this phobia when it comes to live candles and living in a wood cottage built 1911 🙂 🙂 🙂 I would have to blow out the candles and then place the whole thing outdoors, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to sleep before I had put it outside 🙂 🙂 🙂 It doesn’t help having a kitten, now also named the monster, walking around burning candles 🙂 🙂

These were taken with a camera called Nikon F75. If You ever want to start with film photography this is the camera I would recommend.

The tradition on when to bring the Yule spruce as the christmas tree is called here and when to dress it varies a lot. Some bring it in already around Advent, dress it as soon as possible and happily throws it out as soon as they can after christmas (usually around the 27th) Others wait to bring it in until the day before christmas which is at the 23d here since our big day is christmas eve and will dress it either late the 23d or more unusual at christmas eve morning. My family brought it in the 13th, the day we celebrate Saint Lucia, for some reason we celebrate a catholic saint in this once strictly Lutheran country 🙂 . WE dressed the tree as soon as it had settled and since we never were able to make it survive for more than a few days and then the needles started to drop we too tossed it outside around the 27th 🙂 🙂 🙂

These were taken with a Voightländer Bessamatic.

The old traditions about celebrating christmas were of course very different than they are now, for some reason we now have a big, fat and jolly Santa (we call him the Yule Gnome) giving out presents, yes the kids meet the Yule Gnome on the 24th here. Also he arrives in a sled pulled by reindeers. Back in the days he came to rich people who could afford presents. Usually a small Yule gnome dressed in green and perhaps a red cap came to the homes followed by either a horse pulling a sled or the same small gnome followed by a goat pulling a smaller sled, I guess he came to those with a good economy but never especially rich people 🙂 🙂 🙂 But to be honest he wasn’t the first one to deliver presents, we had the Yule goat before him. One believes that he either was one of Thor’s goat from the old Norse gods but I’ve also heard from one of the old people when I was a kid, back in the stone age that is 🙂 that he was the devil forced to do good one day every year 🙂 🙂

I’ll tell You all about this the closer we get to Christmas 🙂 It will be rose hip soup again today and not too late because I wake up in the middle of night if I have too much 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!

Much hardier than I thought.

It’s finally warmer again but not especially close to what they guessed, instead of 10 C (50 F) it reached 4.5 C (40,1 F). They did guess it right when it came to the rain though and it it also quite windy so the photos You see today are from yesterday when it still was cold and sunny, so much nicer to look at 🙂

Nothing much has happened here and that’s just how I like it 🙂 I had decided to let one of my seed grown Gardenias stay outdoors because I have very little space indoors now 🙂 So I ignored that the cold period would come and it fell down to -12 C (10.4 F) and I thought that was it, after all it comes from warmer areas. So I brought it in anyway and now it has a slightly too dark place in the cool cellar. So I just checked the hardiness for it and to my very big surprise it is hardy down to -12 C(10.4 F) 🙂 🙂 🙂 Well I hope any pests it could have gotten from when living indoors, like whitefly have died 🙂 🙂

I have also gone tired of my Camellias since they only flower while down in the cool cellar, I know they can take this cold and some more so I’m not surprised that they still look really healthy out there.  I want around in the garden to see how my small trees had managed this first cold period. The Persimmons has frozen some, the tips of their branches but looks good otherwise. To my very big surprise the Pawpaws looks totally untouched by this first cold and those were the ones I was most worried about 🙂 The English walnut is also untouched by the cold and the Red mulberry, White mulberry and the one called M. accidosa or Mulle as its name is as well 🙂

Well this was the first cold weather for most of them and winter is young, Last winter really didn’t start until early February and ended in the middle of March just to come back to easter again for a week, just as I brought home Malkolm 🙂 🙂 We had 40 cm (20 inches) of snow and it took a week for it to melt away 🙂 🙂 🙂 I wouldn’t mind if this was the last snow for this winter but my neighbor wants snow on her birthday on December 3 and on Christmas, after that she doesn’t care either 🙂 🙂 🙂

I think I’ll skip that last cup of tea for the day and Instead I’ll make some rose-hip soup, fits so well on a windy and rainy day like today. I’ll also have a slice or two from the loaf I baked today 🙂

Have a great day!

It was snowing when we woke up and went out to the garden this morning, mostly tiny flakes though so the roads are white but barely no snow can be seen in the fields. Pretty cold outside but it was the wind that made it feeling too cold. Not around here in my garden but when we passed the fields the cold wind blew right through me.

There are lots of these old roads in to the forest, they were made so that it would be easier to get timber in and out of the forest.

We walked down to the creek and followed it down stream. The surface has already started to freeze, mostly because the water flows really slow because there’s apparently a log blocking the water flowing. So since this is the first time Malkolm has seen frozen water in the creek he happily took a step out on it 🙂 🙂 🙂  Thankfully it was easy to pull him up since he’s wearing a harness 🙂 🙂 He didn’t go down especially far, only up to his stomach so he had wet legs mostly. I think he enjoyed it though 🙂 🙂

The secret passage. It’s almost impossible to see the opening even when looking at in the real. Could be a way to Narnia, I should try it some day 🙂

The day has been calm after that, we’ve been in and out to the garden and I brought in the wildlife camera, just three blurry photos of our fox. It does look really healthy and it has thankfully been a long time since we had Fox scabies in this area. Dogs can get it as well and it’s easy to get rid of, not to the fox though and they usually scratch themselves to death. My old dogs got it fairly often, three of the four scratched themselves like crazy but the fourth showed no signs of having it. Turns out that some dogs can have it but never react to it, the scabies itself isn’t dangerous for the animal but it’s the mites pooping they are allergic to. She was full of it but never reacted.

I’ve baked some bread today and since the oven was working I threw in some brined pork after the bread was out. Smelled fantastic 🙂 I think I’ll make macaroni pudding tomorrow and put the pork in it. I think however I’ll make it closer to mac and cheese than the traditional way with eggs and milk and I do hope rice pasta will work. Rice pasta never need to boil for long so I was thinking of perhaps just let it sit in water for a while before mixing it all together and let it soften in the oven.

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and I’ll have some of the bread I just baked. I think I’ll have perhaps some ham and blue cheese on it 🙂

Malkolm and Sara playing in the living room, a bit blurry but I wanted You all too see how vicious she is 🙂

Have a great day!

A horrible smell of burnt metal and god knows what :-)

The photos comes from today and yesterday.

We had a sort of nice weather yesterday, not much sunshine but quiet windy with warm winds, today another storm, well that is perhaps a bit much to call it but the gusts were really strong. Still rather warm though. I didn’t want to walk in the forest because the risk of falling trees and I didn’t want to walk in the village because of the gusts so we walked down to the creek. Almost in the forest but the trees along both the road and creek are rather low compared to the forest.

It’s always slightly impossible to walk with Alma the first two hundred meters (much the same in yards) , she’s everywhere and nowhere at the same time quite often whining and screaming like obcessed but after that she behaved really well, I guess all the treats in my pocket helped me with that 🙂 🙂 🙂 To be honest she really doesn’t do anything to get the treats, she’s happy to get them if she for some reason do something right for once 🙂 🙂 She will remember nothing of that by the day after 🙂 🙂 🙂

I sat down to watch tv when we came home and suddenly a smell filled the air, sort of metallic burning and really wet wood combination, I can’t describe it any better and it was pretty awful. So I started to sniff around all electrical things that was on and I just couldn’t find from where it came. So for a while I thought it might be the tv itself slowly melting inside. I pulled out the cord and opened a door to let the air out. I was worried that perhaps the cords inside the walls, I hate having cords in the walls since this is an old tree cottage and god knows what I would be able to do if they started to burn in there.

Anyway, after the door had been open for a while the air smelled a bit better so I sat down in my reclines and watched the air to see if there was any smoke in it. That’s when I heard a thermostat klicking behind me.  There is an old radiator on the wall beneath the window that I haven’t used in well over twenty years because it never managed to be especially warm and I guess that the dogs when squeezing between the wall and my recliner have managed to press on the On/ Off button while passing through. So when that started to warm up well over twenty years of dust getting in to that radiator slowly started to burn off 🙂 🙂 🙂

You might wonder why I haven’t replaced that radiator years ago? Well in it is connected straight to the electric wiring and has no contact to pull out, also new radiators like that has a quick connect so one just can disconnect it and replace the old radiator. Here the cord goes straight in t the wall. Plus I’ve tried to remove it from the wall but I just can’t get it even to wiggle, it is stuck 🙂 🙂 🙂 So since I don’t want the dogs to accidentally start it again, I’m not worried it will start to burn but that smell was awful 🙂 The On/Off button isn’t easy to press, so I’ve now put up a cover over that button 🙂 🙂 🙂 One day I’ll get an electrician come over here and remove all those now turned off old radiators. They were really good radiators for their time but the ones I have now, with an  electric plug are so much better.

I think it is time for that last cup of tea and then most likely dooze off in front of the tv 🙂

Have a great day!

Stormy weather.

No photos from today but I have taken a few photos these last days. One day I do hope that I can be able to get a photo of the wolf that follows us when we’re out walking. Here’s another wolf though 🙂 🙂 🙂

First of all I want to thank You all for all the kinds words!

I of course still see here in the corner of the eye and still wonder why she take so long to get down to the kitchen in the morning 🙂 She was a wonderful dog and I only had to scold her once in all those years she lived here, back in the days she hated Hares and one day she saw one just beside us while we were out walking so she started to chase it but the problem was that she was leashed and the leash almost broke a couple of fingers and I couldn’t use my hand for a while 🙂 🙂 🙂 After that she never chased hares again and could walk leash free for the rest of her life 🙂

Turns out that the beavers aren’t back, There’s a log stuck in the tube beneath the gravel road 🙂 The water level is so high that I don’t feel it’s safe to walk on the small bridges. It isn’t deep but the water is cold and muddy 🙂

Looking out the window today one can see a rather pleasant day with lots of sunshine but one can also hear the winds roar through the forest. The steady winds are strong but still not so bad, the gusts however hit the storm force strength so we’ve mostly stayed in the garden today, it is just not safe to walk in the forest plus the fact that there is something out there that Alma doesn’t like. That something must have been outside the garden because even Malkolm got stressed and started to bark like crazy. He did that early this morning as well but since it was dark I couldn’t see anything, my guess a wolf but it could also have been wild hogs.

In one of those times we have been in the garden today Alma came back to me limping. Nothing is broken and she doesn’t show any signs of pain when I squeeze her legs or toes, I guess that she has stretched some muscle or tendon  but nothing worse, when those two play they do play tough. Sara the cat is just wild. It is amazing that she still walks around because if there’s a chance to get squeezed in between something she will be 🙂 She’s so quiet when she moves around that suddenly she’s attacking my feet just as I am moving forward and then she flies away for quite some distance because her claws didn’t get a grip on my foot 🙂 🙂 She climbs up the recliner and then jumps out in to nothing because she isn’t a good enough jumper to reach her goal 🙂 🙂 She too plays very tough with Malkolm and is a sore looser 🙂 🙂

So life goes on and I got an e-mail that I’m still in the running for a couple of jobs I’ve applied for. I am 60 though so that is always a disadvantage if there are younger people hoping for that job as well but I still see this as a success 🙂 Now when I’m not working I need to start spending less money even though there still is a long time before I won’t have any money left. It is better to start now than later when I really need to and I think I’m doing pretty well. I have spoiled myself a little though, I bought myself an orchid, Coelogyne cristata  ( klick on the red text and a new page should pop up on Google search)Here in the nordic countries we call it Snow queen orchid in our separate languages because this one flowers in the Himalayans when the snow is melting after winter.

It is a bit tricky and won’t flower in the winter temperature is  warmer than 10C (50F). Nothing to see now though because without its flowers it just looks sad 🙂 🙂 I do have that other orchid in bloom right now though, the one where I must have done something right but not knowing what to be honest 🙂 🙂 A mouse has visited the plants I have in the cool cellar during winter and apparently small Pawpaw seedlings taste delicious. So the only hope I have now is that their root systems were developed so much that they’ll send out shoots from them. The mouse also tried a Giant sequoia seedling and apparently those aren’t as delicious so lets hope they won’t try to eat those again.  Sara the cat is down there every now and again so lets hope the smell from her is enough to keep that mouse away from now on 🙂

It is time for a pot of tea and a chocolate covered Hob nob, to be honest I never eat just one but it did look good while reading its 🙂

Have a great day!

Today she had her second shot :-)

The orchid is slowly opening up.

So today it was time for Sara’s second shot so to the vet we went. The shot just too a second to give but the vet really likes her 🙂 so some patting and belly scratches had to be given 🙂 The vet really likes her and he said he had never seen that color mix before. In photos it looks like she’s silver and black but she’s actually silver and brown. I’ve never seen that either but the world is full of cats so we might be wrong about that 🙂

Not the nicest of weather today, a strong but warm wind was blowing and the misty rain we’ve had today fell from the trees in heavy drops. Nova didn’t want to go outside at all but she did eventually follow us. Alma did behave pretty well but there was something in the forest she didn’t like and kept looking towards one spot in some denser part of the forest, so I guessed there must be a wild hog or more hiding there.

Now in the evening when I let them out (and I followed them out in the garden) Alma clearly was unhappy about something outside the garden and wanted to go indoors quickly, she even barked loud once. Both Nova and Malkolm wanted to go inside again too, so my guess is that there’s a wolf nearby again. So tomorrow I’ll put out my wildlife camera to hopefully get photos of what it could be. It can be a lynx as well and besides Sara Alma really isn’t happy about cats 🙂 🙂

I’ve just baked a loaf of bread so now I’ll make that last cup of tea for the day and have a couple of sandwiches with it 🙂

The Apricots are finally dropping their leafs, some of them get this rather dark red color.

The peach is still refusing to accept winter slowly is coming 🙂

Have a great day!

Been to Falköping today.

We didn’t have any morning walk today because my car would get the new winter tires, instead we had our first walk just around lunch time. The tires are not studded but still get a really good grip on icy roads. I must admit that I never fully feel safe with unstudded tires so therefor I always drive much more careful when not having that 🙂 🙂 🙂 Plus the car is so much more quiet with the unstudded ones.

I brought a camera with me of course so today You’ll see photos from elsewhere than usual. It wouldn’t take long to get those tires changed but I took a little walk anyway and also stopped at a cafe just beside the garage. They did have some things gluten free but not any of my favorites. I still bought a cookie and it actually tasted worse than they usually do 🙂 🙂 🙂 To make it even worse it was nasty expensive but what should one do when one want something to the coffee 🙂

I thought this building was pretty ugly at the backside.

On the other side one can see that it is the City Theater and

Hotel Falköping. Great views when staying in that hotel 🙂

These houses are built at the top of Mösseberg, that’s the other side of the Mountain You can see in my photos. One gets a higher status if one live on that mountain and on the side turned towards the town 🙂 🙂

The sun was shining but it still felt a bit too cold in the morning to make it enjoyable, especially since the wind still was pretty hard and Falköping is built on two mountains and the valley in between, so the wind reach everywhere, even between the houses. After that I went to a place called Forentorp ängar (Forentorp Meadows), I think it is a nature reserve even though cattle roam there most parts of the year. It is a favorite place of mine to stop at even though I really can’t bring the dogs just because of the cattle. One pasture in the middle of all trees has a table where one can sit and eat and drink coffee if one so wish and to be honest I’ve never seen cattle there.

The rest of the day has been rather calm and nice. We had our walk in the forest and Alma does behave much better still, the big test will be when we walk in to the village, so much things moving and sounding that she might not be able to stay calm. We will keep on trying though, she will calm down even if it perhaps don’t happen until she’s 13 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’ll show You photos from Forentorp tomorrow if I remember it 🙂 It is time for that last cup of tea and most likely a sandwich or two 🙂

Have a great day!

A belated birthday present :-)

I wouldn’t say that a storm passed by today but the wind was hard and it roared when it blew through the forest. My garden was totally wind free because my neighbors cottage took it all and it was surprisingly calm in the forest where we walked, the tree tops swayed but very little reached us on the ground. Warm winds though so it has been rather nice to be outdoors and now there’s only a few walnuts left hanging in the walnut tree.

The last of the bright colors are blowing away, I wonder how much that will be left tomorrow.

Even though it is much warmer than usual this month winter is still closing in on us unless we get really lucky and it stays autumn until spring. I know it isn’t a good thing but I admit that I won’t feel sorry if that happens 🙂 Anyway, here in Sweden we have a law that says we must have winter tires if it becomes winter. My cars tires weren’t good so on Wednesday I’ll get new ones and even though I like that we have that law I still don’t want to pay for it, it will cost something around $ 700 US. Ok I drive gentle so the tires will last for long but it still hurts 🙂 🙂 🙂

Yesterday friends I haven’t seen in well over 24 years came for a visit 🙂 It was so fun to meet them again 🙂 We do keep an eye on us via Facebook but it isn’t the same to be honest. They gave me a present since I now am 60 years old and it was one in a series of  children’s book 🙂 🙂 I love that series of books! It’s  about these characters called Pettson and Findus (another English name for them is Festus and Mercury), an old farmer and his cat Findus. I’ll give You a link to the Wikipedia site: Pettson and Findus . They think that I reminded so much of Pettson 🙂 🙂 and I really wish I was as handy as he is 🙂 I think this might have been the best birthday present ever 🙂

The weather will calm down during the day tomorrow but get worse again later in the evening and night so I think I better go to the store tomorrow since I’ll get the new tires on Wednesday. It sounds as if I’m stressed and can’t find the time but that’s far from the truth 🙂 🙂 It’s good to have something to do each day. It is at least easier to remember what day it is 🙂 🙂

The dogs are sleeping here on the upper floor and I think the cat sleep in my recliner downstairs. She might be up here as well but she moves so quiet so I never really knows where she is 🙂 The only time I know where she is is when I bring out food, it is amazing what that cat likes to eat, like pickled cucumbers 🙂 not even the dogs like that and if she gets a tiny piece of cheese she bites me till she gets it 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!

Busy morning.

Have no idea where time flew yesterday, suddenly it was time to go to bed and no time left to write a blog 🙂 I went to my old work place to get the employer certificate but it turns out that works automatically now days so it was sent to the unemployment insurance on the last pay day, that’s today 🙂 So instead I walked around talking to everyone and had a really nice morning 🙂

These photos comes from the folder “For a rainy day”.

v v

Got a text message from a work friend early this morning about a job that would be perfect for me, in the same village where my old job is. The fun thing is that I actually was going to get a job in that factory 17 years ago but for some reason couldn’t find the place and that was odd since I actually lived nearby but just couldn’t find it 🙂 🙂 Instead I drove to my old job and asked if they needed a painter. Started working there the day after 🙂 🙂 Turns out that was a good thing because the place I actually looked for went bankrupt two weeks after. I remembered where the place was as soon as I got hired at my old work place 🙂 🙂 🙂

It’s always stressful to look for a new job, especially since I’ve almost never have had to search for one. What is important what isn’t? Well since this is a painting job I mentioned that I was educated as a car painter at Volvo cars but that I also had done other things there but for the last 17 years I’ve been both a powder painter and went paint painter. I also have the CEO from my last work place as my reference person and I do hope that helps a lot 🙂

Sara is doing really good. I was worried that her stomach wasn’t working properly because lots went in but nothing out but just as I was on the way to be she showed her stomach works really good 🙂 🙂 Her eyes are puss free now and she has a lot of energy and I think it helps her having two big dogs as parents as well 🙂 She must be the cleanest cat in the world by now 🙂 🙂 Especially Malkolm follows her everywhere and she’s not afraid to show when she is tired of him 🙂 Still she has pneumonia so I’m not celebrating yet.

It has been raining constantly since I came home yesterday but now the sun shows so perhaps we’ll be able to have a walk before the rain starts again. So we better go out while we can 🙂

Have a great day!
