Warmer nights again.

Yesterday I saw the mosnterkitten up the road having a chat with another cat but then I remembered that she never followed us outside. So this cat to the left must be a sibling to her 🙂

We were so close to having frost again last night that we almost could touch it, it must have been those very thin clouds that saved us from it.Mostly grey and dull today but suddenly the sun shone through the clouds at the same time I came home. So the dogs and I had a really nice walk down to the creek.

The birds were singing and it would have been odd if they hadn’t since this is the time of year when they really are supposed to do that. We even saw a roe deer goat, which I’ve learned the females are called, only the bigger deer have doe and the moose is called a cow for some reason. I wonder why the aren’t called the same since they all belong to the deer?

Yesterday I finally forced me to bring out all the cardboard boxes to the car, most of them were already opened up and mad flat but it still took me almost 30 minutes to get them all into the car 🙂 Mostly because I dropped so many on the ground before reaching the car, why not try to bring them all at the same time 🙂 🙂 🙂

The night temperatures will finally be well above frost again, it didn’t feel right to have to remove ice from the car when days have been so warm, it was like we had taken several steps backwards in to winter again and since I didn’t have to remove any ice from my car during winter it really didn’t feel nice at all 🙂 🙂 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and perhaps we’ll hear who the new pope is, I’m not catholic but I’m still curious 🙂

Have a great day!

They say it’ll rain tomorrow.

Lungwort.

Another really nice and sunny spring day here. Started a bit cloudy but warm so I didn’t feel I had the right to complain 🙂 No cranes in the field though but I could hear some trumpeting in fields further away.

We walked down to the creek but in the opposite direction to what we normally do. It would have been nice to walk to the older forest but the ground is so wet around there that rubber boots are a necessity at the moment. The sun started to shine while we were out warming up the air quite a lot so after a short while it felt too much to wear an anorak 🙂

I continued to weed in the garden, today only nice weeds but yesterday I started to rip up stinging nettle roots. I could see the first shoots for the spring and decided I would at least slow them down this year. The shoots are edible after heating them up and can be used as a sort of spinach. People who do that always lies about those new shoots and say that they doesn’t burn, lies lies lies 🙂 🙂 🙂 So yesterday my hands burned and today they itch something bad 🙂 🙂

Besides that very little has happened here. Can’t say I remember what I’ve been doing but at the moment it does feel like I could have taken a long nap and still hadn’t rushed to do what I have done today 🙂 Tomorrow we’ll have a much cooler day and they’re saying we’ll have some rain as well, we barely got anything last time they said that. It’s not like we really need it but nature will love it anyway 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and after that I have no idea 🙂

The cranes had arrived outside the cottage when we were back home again, they didn’t like to see me so they flew away 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!

Our nesting couples are here now :-)

The new neighbours cat. The photos can come from today but also several days back, sunny photos are always nicer 🙂

It was warmish and cloudy this morning when we went out in the garden. Four cranes were walking in the field outside my garden, two left when they heard us but two stayed. The problem was that I only could photograph them through the branches on my catalpa tree 🙂 I did get a few reasonable good ones though.

I had forgotten a few things last time I was at the supermarket so I went there again this morning before our morning walk, I like to go there as early as possible so that very few other customers are there. They tend to annoy me when they start complaining when there’s only one cashier even though they already are second in line 🙂 🙂 🙂 Anyway I stopped by the lake to take a few photos of the cranes there and once again I was too lazy to get out of the car 🙂 🙂

The clouds blew away in the petty strong wind we’ve had since yesterday, a steady wind with few gusts  so it was quite nice to walk in the forest. I took a look at the small trees I’ve placed in the patio and so far they look really good, even if we would have temperatures below 0C (32F) at night the cottage itself will make sure those temperatures won’t reach the plants.

Besides this very little has happened here, the dogs and I had pancakes for dinner (well they had their own food first, I don’t think pancakes would be especially good to have as the only thing to eat 🙂 ). I think I can see flower buds on the apricot trees in the garden. Apricots are really hardy but they don’t change their habits just because they live in a harsher climate, they will flower at the same time as they do everywhere else they grow naturally 🙂 So if they start to flower soon I’ll need to cover the trees with some cloth so no frost takes away eventual fruit. Easy at the moment but one day they’ll be big trees 🙂 🙂

I’m not sure if I’ve missed all the Germans (and Dutch) because there’s only “normal” sized motorhomes by the lake. Could be that I’m a bit early because it looks like most cranes will come in April, yesterday there were 9300 cranes by the lake.

It is time for that last cup of tea and then watch some tv 🙂

Have a great day!

So now the snow falls again.

Not the best photo but it is at least Cranes, they were flying to the other small lake we have in the nature reserve.

It is snowing again and will continue for a day or two more. How much we’ll get is hard to guess since they change the amount on the web sites all the time. It will most likely stay for the rest of the week but after that they’re guessing we’ll get warmer temperatures again. I’m not surprised though because as the first Crane arrives here we usually get at least one more snow storm before spring really arrives.

The two days previous to this one was quite wonderful though, a bit chilly in the mornings but sunny and temperatures rose to 10C (50F) and above. Lots more Cranes have arrived though so now I can hear them every morning as soon as I go outside 🙂 I’ve also heard the Larch and the Eurasian curlew. The last one has become a bit rare so I always enjoy hearing it again. So even if spring has reached a temporary halt it feels good to know it’s just around the corner.

I’ve been a bit busy now, well busy isn’t perhaps the right word but I have been to an interview at a staffing agency for a job in the same village as where I worked before but for another company. I must say it did feel like a good meeting so now I’ll have to wait and see what happens. The staffing agency will now recommend the people they think will work well for that company so all I can do now is to wait and hope for the best.

A while ago the employment agency asked if I wanted the help from a job coach and I said why not and today I met her for the first time. She asked me what I had done so far to get a job and it turns out I’m doing what they want me to do. I’ll have a talk with her over the phone every second week and meet her in person the other weeks. When I returned back home she had mailed me some links to companies looking for hiring people. So tomorrow I’ll send an application to each place, as long as the orange idiot doesn’t disturb the world too much I might have a chance.

I would say that the cold is gone but the coughing isn’t. Still very little coughing during nights thankfully. Lots of people have that cold or flu or what ever it is at the moment so I guess I should be happy about having it early especially now when we’ll get winter weather back. I could at least go outside to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather, those having it now just have to suffer through it and not have anything to make the day better.

Can You see the back of the wild hog in the middle of the photo?

Our morning walk was quite nice though, despite the cold wind and dark skies. We walked out to the bog and stood at the end of the peninsula. Alma is behaving so much better now, even the whining is quieting down. We stood there at the end looking out over the bog, all quiet, when we suddenly heard something walking towards us in the thicket. Two wild hogs that must have known we were there suddenly showed themselves to us. This was a bit too much for Alma so she started to whine a lot, so they slowly turned away from us and walked in to the thicket again. I did however get a photos of one of them, even if it only was the back side of it 🙂

It is time for something to eat, haven’t had dinner today. Thinking something easy like sausage and baked white beans. I’ll have my last cup of tea for the day after that 🙂

More croci are showing up just before winter comes back.
Also some spring irises show now. They are built to survive some time of winter returning.
Dying needles on the Himalayan cedar, lets hope it just sheds of the old needles and not dies.

Have a great day!

That made grocery shopping a bit more tricky :-)

Last night just before I fell asleep I heard a what I think is a fox kill an animal, could have been a hare but didn’t think much about it. Hares cane make the most horrible sounds, as my mother always says, when they are killed they sound like a woman getting stabbed with a knife in her back. I would perhaps say it differently 🙂 🙂 but it’s true. It didn’t sound quite like that but I couldn’t figure out what else it could be.

-14C (6,8F) this morning but wonderful sunshine and no wind so it didn’t feel bad at all 🙂

It wasn’t until this morning when I couldn’t find the monster kitten I started to worry about it. After all she’s small and really fast when she wants to so I started to wonder if she possibly had managed to get out, I was however still pretty sure she was asleep on one of the sofas when we walked up to the bedroom. I had looked everywhere downstairs and just couldn’t find her. So I said to Alma find the kitten and it took her ten seconds by showing me that she was sleeping in my bed 🙂 🙂 :-)Alma is a natural when it comes to find missing things she knows what they are called. Every time Malkolm disappears I just tell her to get  Malkolm an a short time after she brings him home 🙂 Good thing because one of my neighbours daughters are amazingly quick to vanish from the surface of the earth, so far she’s never been really lost but if that would happen I’m sure Alma would find her quickly.

It actually looks like The monster has accepted the punishment of having a cone around her head 🙂 🙂 She isn’t stopped by it in any way, she just finds a new way to handle reality and so far it has worked great. She was of course not too happy this morning but thankfully the painkillers she’s gotten she’s up and about almost like normal. It does help a lot that they have given the pill a taste of something she really likes so she just ate it out of my hand 🙂

Alma is supposed to be in heat next month, that’s why Malkolm got his injection yesterday, it takes around a month before it is working at 100% So I wasn’t the least surprised to find out that she’s in heat now 🙂 🙂 :-)She is really good at taking care of any blood but yesterday evening I found a small drop on the floor. Thankfully he hasn’t shown too much interest in her yet and with each day it should be less and less but I once had surprise puppies after a dog was here (a brother to one of my dogs, old Erna) where he got the injection too late and my old Erna went in to heat. He never showed any interest in her until I had to go away for two hours 🙂 🙂 🙂 Even though this was anything but good those dogs were the most easygoing dogs I’ve ever had here 🙂 🙂 🙂 Orvar and Hector had two sisters as well and they were just as wonderful (yes the new owners knew about it).

Grocery shopping will be a bit difficult now though because I really can’t leave those two alone in the dog yard. So I’ll either have to bring them in the car if I just need something small and I just have to go to the small grocery store in Gudhem but I can thankfully ask my neighbour who works in a super market if she can help me if I need a bit more 🙂 I really have the best of neighbours 🙂

It is time for a last cup of tea, in fact I already have it here by the computer 🙂 and then most likely read a book because I doubt there will be anything interesting on tv.

Have a great day!

So I picked up the new antenna cable yesterday and after connecting it to the antenna and tv I had better picture than before. I hadn’t seen Malkolm chew on it but since he quickly ran away when I saw what had been done it wasn’t that hard to understand 🙂 So this morning when we were supposed to go out on our morning walk I was putting on my shoes when I looks at him happily chewing on the new cable!!!

Two Ravens playing in the strong winds we had yesterday.

I have never really had the need to scold him for doing something he isn’t supposed to do here in the cottage, he has never really done anything wrong or dangerous but chewing on cables, even if the antenna cable is sort of harmless next time it could be an electric cable I really had to do something drastic. I have big lungs so I screamed at him at the same time i picked him up so I could look directly in to his eyes. I feel so sorry for him but that scared the s.t out of him, well pee actually. He is still a bit skittish when he must pass that place. I really hope this helped because I never want to scare him like that again 🙂 🙂

Yesterday morning was quite nice, it had been cold during the night with a clear sky and the sky stayed mostly clear all through the walk. There was a thin cloud layer that the sun had to shine through but that didn’t do much to stop the sunlight, Today it was warm all through the night and has stayed that way but the clouds were pretty thick. I can’t really complain about it since it is warm but it would have been nice to see the sunlight again. It’ll be like this for at least ten days, or so they guess at least. Then again I still get daylight and I haven’t had this much daylight at this time of year so that’s a good thing.

It’s time for that last cup of tea for the day, I’ve just had dinner so I won’t have anything else today, I have no bananas so I’ll buy more tomorrow 🙂 The roads will be good though, almost no ice left either now, just in a few places where the sun never reach this time of year.

Have a great day!

The night crew were still working when we woke up in the morning 🙂

A warm day, well a warm winter day and most of the snow is almost gone now. I found some in the forest and places where the sun can’t reach yet but mostly what’s left is ice. We had a meh fog all morning, wasn’t useful for anything to be honest and to be even more honest that fog was mostly misty rain so small water droplets covered the glasses after a short while.

We walked out to the bog and today I praised both Alma and Malkolm so many times and giving them treats that I think giving them dinner later in the day was just like over feeding them both 🙂 🙂 🙂 I doubt this behaviour won’t last for long but I’m happy for the days I get 🙂 🙂

I have finally figured out how to reduce the size on my photos in the new computer, only took around half an hour and only twenty more to figure out how to save the changes as well, one can say what one wants about PC programs but they are actually quite obvious when it comes to those things. When I do resize the photo I can see how many KB or MB they have become after the change but if I go in to check it in the album the size is right but it still says the original MB the photo was?? Well I’ll figure it out in time 🙂 :-)It is fun to figure it out but it is mostly so annoying 🙂 🙂

Besides that I’ve had a nice calm day. My neighbors car didn’t pass the annual vehicle inspection  so I picked up her in a village called Floby some distance away so she could come home again, there aren’t any communication that comes even close to here unless one wants to have a day trip looking at the environment 🙂 🙂 Wouldn’t have worked today though because it went almost dark before we arrived to the village 🙂 🙂 I love living here but when our cars misbehave it can be a bit of a struggle to be honest.

My antenna cable has arrived at the grocery store in Gudhem today, so I’ll go there to pick it up tomorrow morning. I’ll check if I need anything since I’m there, otherwise I had planned to go on either Sunday morning or Monday. I normally just shave off the hair on my head three times a year and since it is as warm as it is and it’ll stay like this, they’re guessing, for a week I did it yesterday. Now I don’t need to think of doing that for three to four months 🙂 I started to do that when I powder painted at my old job, as soon as the hair becomes longer tan two to three centimeters (slightly less or slightly more than inch)the powder sort of became like concrete and wouldn’t move no matter how thorough one wash the hair. Having that paint there gave all kinds of problems and dandruff is the least of them 🙂 🙂

It is time to have that last cup of tea for the day, I’m not really hungry but sort of wants something, I think I’ll have a banana 🙂

Have a great day!

I put up the wildlife camera for two weeks when we had the snowstorm and the only thing the camera got was this hare, it had found the deer food I had tossed out 🙂

I think Sara’s mother came from this farm. I haven’t seen her since we found Sara so I don’t think the mother is still alive.

The weather has really been boring for a couple of days now but it is well above 0 C (32 f) so I’m not complaining too much. The cottage becomes a mess though because since the dogs don’t want to be outdoors besides for walk they play indoors instead 🙂 🙂 They aren’t allowed to do it in the living room because of the aquarium so mostly they play in my bed 🙂 🙂

This was all sunshine I saw yesterday, not much but beautiful and a lot more than today 🙂

Today was a good day for Alma, not so much yesterday though but the periods when she is calmer seems to stay longer now. In this speed I’ll be long gone and dead by the time she’ll be able to behave like most other dogs, a year ago I’d never thought that would happen so it’s a step forward 🙂 🙂 🙂 I took a look at the trees in the cool cellar and despite that it actually has been pretty cold down there Some of them now shows new leafs! I don’t want that to happen 🙂 They are supposed to rest until at least early March Now I’ll have huge problems rearranging everything so that they’ll get light as well. I’ve also had a walk in the garden to examine how the new smaller trees are doing in the garden.

The Pawpaws look really healthy and have little to no frost damages and it’s the same with the Camellias I placed out there because they just too too much space in the cool cellar. I think that if winter doesn’t get colder than it has been so far they might even survive, I’m not counting on that though but they do look healthy. I have three different Mulberry trees out there too, A black called “Mulle” and it is the least hardy of them. Rather big frost injuries on that one but it will most likely survive and if it does it will become hardier next winter. I also have a white Mulberry tree and it is supposed to be the hardiest one but that too has some big frost injuries but it is far better than the black one. The one that has managed the winter best so far without any frost problems is the Red mulberry. I have two more in the cellar and it is of course those that has been growing new leafs 🙂 I have no idea how this will affect them towards next winter when they’ll be standing in the garden.

The Persimmon tree looks really well as well. I was a bit worried about that tree because some fungi had attacked it during summer and it looked so sad before it got cold 🙂 I also had those new branches that grew up from the roots of the dead persimmon hybrid, well they are no more but not because of the cold but because unknown dogs 🙂 🙂 had trampled them down while playing in the garden. I hope I’ll get lucky, even though this year has been anything but, and that new branches will grow up because then I’ll protect them so much better.

It has finally stopped with shorter days and longer nights 🙂 Today the sun rose somewhere behind the clouds at 8:53 am and set at 3:16 pm here where I live in the village at the outskirts of the world. Some places further north haven’t seen the sun for ages. Then again we’ll get it back during summer where the sun won’t set at all for a long time. Even here further south it’ll be bright for a long time after the sun has set because of the angle towards the sun so when the day is at its longest we still only will have a couple of hours when it’s almost dark. Well it is time for that last cup of tea with lots of ginger in it and then I’ll most likely fall asleep in front of the tv.

Have a great day!

It was snowing when we woke up and went out to the garden this morning, mostly tiny flakes though so the roads are white but barely no snow can be seen in the fields. Pretty cold outside but it was the wind that made it feeling too cold. Not around here in my garden but when we passed the fields the cold wind blew right through me.

There are lots of these old roads in to the forest, they were made so that it would be easier to get timber in and out of the forest.

We walked down to the creek and followed it down stream. The surface has already started to freeze, mostly because the water flows really slow because there’s apparently a log blocking the water flowing. So since this is the first time Malkolm has seen frozen water in the creek he happily took a step out on it 🙂 🙂 🙂  Thankfully it was easy to pull him up since he’s wearing a harness 🙂 🙂 He didn’t go down especially far, only up to his stomach so he had wet legs mostly. I think he enjoyed it though 🙂 🙂

The secret passage. It’s almost impossible to see the opening even when looking at in the real. Could be a way to Narnia, I should try it some day 🙂

The day has been calm after that, we’ve been in and out to the garden and I brought in the wildlife camera, just three blurry photos of our fox. It does look really healthy and it has thankfully been a long time since we had Fox scabies in this area. Dogs can get it as well and it’s easy to get rid of, not to the fox though and they usually scratch themselves to death. My old dogs got it fairly often, three of the four scratched themselves like crazy but the fourth showed no signs of having it. Turns out that some dogs can have it but never react to it, the scabies itself isn’t dangerous for the animal but it’s the mites pooping they are allergic to. She was full of it but never reacted.

I’ve baked some bread today and since the oven was working I threw in some brined pork after the bread was out. Smelled fantastic 🙂 I think I’ll make macaroni pudding tomorrow and put the pork in it. I think however I’ll make it closer to mac and cheese than the traditional way with eggs and milk and I do hope rice pasta will work. Rice pasta never need to boil for long so I was thinking of perhaps just let it sit in water for a while before mixing it all together and let it soften in the oven.

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and I’ll have some of the bread I just baked. I think I’ll have perhaps some ham and blue cheese on it 🙂

Malkolm and Sara playing in the living room, a bit blurry but I wanted You all too see how vicious she is 🙂

Have a great day!

I missed a foggy morning walk.

The only foggy photo I took today 🙂

We had thick fog this morning, perfect for a morning walk but I was going to visit my friend in the garden center and it takes some time to get there so I had to skip the morning walk. We had our “morning” walk when I came home just after noon instead.

I do miss the days when I had my own garden center but it was a lot of work for very little money. Unless it’s a holiday of some kind or beginning of spring very little happens, very fun though but it is nice to have dinner every now and again 🙂 🙂 🙂 Quite often if not always I get some plants/flowers with me home, it is when the plants are too old to sell 🙂 So today I came home with two Butterfly orchids that had seen better days and a huge Croton. Crotons really hate dry air so they usually don’t last for long in modern homes, it usually don’t take long time before the first pests arrive, like spider mites and even if one can be successful in removing them the first time they don’t take long to come back.

Too dry air in a 100 year old cottage is rarely a problem as long as the plant doesn’t stand too close to a radiator but it is so big that I have no idea where to place it 🙂 🙂 🙂 Don’t need much sunlight though so perhaps I can find a spot in the bathroom? Not that I have much space there either but it will not be a very dry air in there anyway 🙂 🙂 Or perhaps I’ll place that orchid I was wondering about where to place just in case Sara the cat would get the idea to chew on it in the bathroom and the Croton by the entrance door where daylight can reach it? I think that might be a good idea.

This is a really muddy place that we have to pass to get to the island. Put your foot in the wrong place and You will sink down to Your knee in mud 🙂 🙂

Anyway, we walked out to the bog and the island I like there and today we followed it, on the less beautiful side, for as long as we could. Alma had behaved reasonable good until we came out to the island but was extra stressed when we started to walk. We made quite a lot of noise by walking on all the fallen and now dry branches and that when I hear something moving. We stopped and I saw in the corner of my eye something moving. It was wild hogs. At least one rather big boar and three smaller ones. Alma couldn’t see them thankfully so she stood quiet and tried to see what it was moving. The hogs walked in to the thicker forest on the island so we continues to walk our own way.

It is easy to walk here because of the absolute flat surface, the other side of the island is just the opposite and also very swampy 🙂

This tree looks like something that will wake up at night and start wandering around looking for prey 🙂

Behind those birches there’s a big but swampy meadow, I only walk there during droughts 🙂

Alma doesn’t like wild hogs so she was pretty happy when we arrived back home again but I have to say that if this had happened a year ago it would have been more troublesome to go back home at all 🙂 🙂 🙂 Well I think it is time for that last cup of tea for the day but nothing to eat, I made rice porridge again today and it is filling well and there’s no risk of getting hungry again today 🙂 By the way I also picked up the Quality Street tin box this morning, now I’ll place it in the pantry and never look at it before Christmas eve morning 🙂

It looks like there still is mist at the far back of the photo, odd because the fog/ mist had already vanished elsewhere.

and where’s the bridge over the creek?

Have a great day!

Our squirrels are really shy so this was a surprise to see today 🙂

Grey and dull.

The weather has been grey and dull and we’ve had misty rain most of the time. Also so dark that I’ve had to have lights on all day. We’ve been out in the forest but to be honest this day has sucked the energy out of us all so not even Alma was especially overjoyed to have any walks 🙂 🙂 🙂

I must admit that I will be happy when the elections in the US are over 🙂 🙂 Our different tv companies has shown bigger interest in this election that they’ve done to our own 🙂 🙂 Today for instance they showed when the Polling stations opened up all over the country, discussed everything and anything about the presidential candidates, pros and cons for us and our economy and to be honest a little too much enthusiastic over all. They’ve checked how we Swedes would vote if we were allowed and 80% would vote for Kamala (I think Obama would have gotten over 92% but that was before our fascists grew big), only the fascists would vote for the orange nazi. I’ll also be very happy when all the spam mail begging for money will end coming to my e-mail account 🙂 🙂 🙂 I’m up to 60 e-mails every day now.

We’ve been in the garden quite a lot today because it has been rather warm. There’s still two walnuts hanging in the tree and it seems they refuse to fall down, I have peeled all the walnuts that has fallen down. The misty rain forced us to go inside rather often, misty rain eats its way through any form of clothes so it really isn’t nice after a while. So instead I’ve baked two loafs of bread, not a total success but way better than the last time. The odd thing is that one actually can cut a couple of slices just after it has come out from the oven but try it a few seconds later and the bread just collapses 🙂 🙂 🙂

So since it was so dark and gloomy today and like always this time of year I felt a little Christmas spirit I made some rice porridge 🙂 And of course I used the Christmas porridge plate 🙂

It is basically round rice (even though any rice can be used, it just gets a slightly different texture). First boiled in some water for 15 minutes and after that let it simmer in milk in around 40 to 60 minutes.

I do have a piece of cinnamon in it while it boils but when it is done I sprinkle more over it all and today I also added some strawberry jam 🙂

No wolves yesterday either but a couple of Roe deer instead. Alma’s tail indicated that they might not be around any longer but there are plenty of other animals around so I hope our fox pass by soon. Back in the days when we had lots of moose here they quite often passed by even during day time, so there’s a minimal chance the camera might be able to get one of those too. I doubt that and Red deer or Fallow deer will come close enough though, they are still too shy to come close to our cottages.

It is time for that last cup of tea and most likely a sandwich or two. Both the dogs and the kitten will have a tiny piece each. I’m not surprised that the dogs like it but Sara the cat will go insane if she doesn’t get some too 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!

The bog.

It was a good thing it was this little badger the dogs fought in the garden last winter and not the big male, he would have broken all bones in my dogs.

I’m sorry I can’t show You a photo of a wolf today but as You can see the camera caught a badger instead. It is most likely the same badger Alma and Albin had two fights with in the garden, just slightly bigger 🙂 Last nights photos was less good, to be honest the camera had changed from photos to videos but that didn’t matter, we had frost during the night so the lens was covered in it 🙂 I could see something walking by and it did look like a canine of some sort but it was most likely the fox that also visit the garden at nights. No frost tonight so perhaps the camera will catch that canine again but as photos instead.

Out to the bog we went.

Our walk this morning wasn’t anything out of the ordinary and to be honest neither was yesterdays morning walk but we did go out to my favorite island in the bog. It has dried up so much now that it is possible to walk there now, so today You’ll see photos from that island and most of You have never seen that place before. I couldn’t see any signs of wolves being there but Alma was a bit stressed with her tail hanging so we only walked there for a short while and on the less beautiful side of the island (I write island because this is actually an old lake they’ve tried to empty totally a century ago but failed since the lake is a spring lake). I hope I can show You the rest soon, it all depends on rain and wolves 🙂 🙂

I went to the store in the village where I used to work and after that I visited my old work friends. It was fun to talk to them but I must admit I didn’t feel especially sad leaving 🙂 🙂 It didn’t feel like I was leaving a happy place to be honest. They do at least have free coffee though 🙂  We had frost in the morning here and even though it almost reached 10C (50F) the ground still stayed frozen all day long. Earlier they guessed that we now would go towards colder weather, now they say we’ll have warmer weather again 🙂 🙂 No sunshine for quite some time though but I can survive without that for a while 🙂

I think it is time for that last cup of tea for the day and perhaps some hard bread sandwiches with it. Tomorrow I’ll have to bake more bread, I failed some last time, too little flour I guess even though I actually put in more than I should. The bread instead of rising it sort of flouted out and became almost flat 🙂 🙂 🙂 The taste was good though and that’s more important 🙂

It isn’t easy to find the small bridge so one can pass over the creek if one doesn’t know where it is 🙂

Have a great day!
