A horrible smell of burnt metal and god knows what :-)

The photos comes from today and yesterday.

We had a sort of nice weather yesterday, not much sunshine but quiet windy with warm winds, today another storm, well that is perhaps a bit much to call it but the gusts were really strong. Still rather warm though. I didn’t want to walk in the forest because the risk of falling trees and I didn’t want to walk in the village because of the gusts so we walked down to the creek. Almost in the forest but the trees along both the road and creek are rather low compared to the forest.

It’s always slightly impossible to walk with Alma the first two hundred meters (much the same in yards) , she’s everywhere and nowhere at the same time quite often whining and screaming like obcessed but after that she behaved really well, I guess all the treats in my pocket helped me with that 🙂 🙂 🙂 To be honest she really doesn’t do anything to get the treats, she’s happy to get them if she for some reason do something right for once 🙂 🙂 She will remember nothing of that by the day after 🙂 🙂 🙂

I sat down to watch tv when we came home and suddenly a smell filled the air, sort of metallic burning and really wet wood combination, I can’t describe it any better and it was pretty awful. So I started to sniff around all electrical things that was on and I just couldn’t find from where it came. So for a while I thought it might be the tv itself slowly melting inside. I pulled out the cord and opened a door to let the air out. I was worried that perhaps the cords inside the walls, I hate having cords in the walls since this is an old tree cottage and god knows what I would be able to do if they started to burn in there.

Anyway, after the door had been open for a while the air smelled a bit better so I sat down in my reclines and watched the air to see if there was any smoke in it. That’s when I heard a thermostat klicking behind me.  There is an old radiator on the wall beneath the window that I haven’t used in well over twenty years because it never managed to be especially warm and I guess that the dogs when squeezing between the wall and my recliner have managed to press on the On/ Off button while passing through. So when that started to warm up well over twenty years of dust getting in to that radiator slowly started to burn off 🙂 🙂 🙂

You might wonder why I haven’t replaced that radiator years ago? Well in it is connected straight to the electric wiring and has no contact to pull out, also new radiators like that has a quick connect so one just can disconnect it and replace the old radiator. Here the cord goes straight in t the wall. Plus I’ve tried to remove it from the wall but I just can’t get it even to wiggle, it is stuck 🙂 🙂 🙂 So since I don’t want the dogs to accidentally start it again, I’m not worried it will start to burn but that smell was awful 🙂 The On/Off button isn’t easy to press, so I’ve now put up a cover over that button 🙂 🙂 🙂 One day I’ll get an electrician come over here and remove all those now turned off old radiators. They were really good radiators for their time but the ones I have now, with an  electric plug are so much better.

I think it is time for that last cup of tea and then most likely dooze off in front of the tv 🙂

Have a great day!

Today we were lucky with the weather.

We had thick fog again this morning but I could see the sun rise behind it so we hurried out before the fog would evaporate. I would have loved to go out to the bog and the island but it was noticeable that the sun would remove the fog just as I would reach it. So we walked down to the creek instead.

When one read about our beings it often says that this is the season they’re the most active because it’s so dark all the time. Then one read about them in all other season and those are also when they are most active, usually because we have all our holidays from christmas till midsummer 🙂 🙂 🙂 Then again we have so much daylight here during summer that they wouldn’t be able to do much at all if they were sensitive to daylight 🙂 🙂 I think that this morning would have been great to see any beings in the fog out there 🙂

In the northern parts of Sweden, by the high mountains and deep forests they have a being called Vittra, a close relative to our vätte (vaettir or wight in English) Both live underground and can look much like a human but being considerable smaller. While the vätte normally can live rather close to humans the Vittra prefers to stay away from us, plus they have their own livestock, like cows or goats. They don’t dislike us but they tend to stay away from us which I guess means they don’t like us 🙂 🙂 Normally they also almost always wear beautiful folk costumes. Back in the days humans let the livestock walk up on the mountains during summer and that’s when the young girls that lived with the animals up there often could meet the Vittra or their livestock. If the girls were smart and quick in thought they would throw an iron knife over the animal they had met and when they had done that they could keep the animal.

It wouldn’t take long before the original owner would visit them though to set the rules. Not milk the animal too much and any offspring from it would go to the Vittra. Their animals looked just like ours but were much smaller and gave lots more milk. It is said that their cows were purely white and wore a silver bell with a wonderful sound. Usually there were never any problems with the Vittra but there were a few things to look out for. They could steal our livestock or our children but they usually returned them back after three days 🙂 Another thing is that they behaves much like our badgers when it comes to where they walk. If one would be unlucky enough to build a home on one of those paths one had problems. One wouldn’t be able to sleep at all during nights ever. So the only solution to that problem was to move the house or sleep with all doors open so that the Vittra could pass at nights 🙂 🙂 Vittror never came alone though, the entire family would have to pass and also their livestock 🙂 🙂 (one Vittra several Vittror)

This photo is a bit blurry but I think it came out pretty good anyway.

There were also Vittror that reigned over lakes and if one tossed in a silver coin (or I guess anything silver) before going fishing in those lakes one would catch lots of fish, unless it was one of their pikes, no matter what one tried they were impossible to get out of the water 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day. The dogs and I had our dinner not long ago so I’ll just have that cup of tea.

Have a great day!

Malkolm and Alma do like Sara the cat but she’s never calm so they prefer to avoid her when they want to sleep (if they can 🙂 🙂 🙂 ). Old Nova made Sara calm in some way I don’t know so I think she’s missed by the kitten. Sometimes however they make an exception and let her stay close 🙂

It was there just for a second, then it was gone again.

Sunny and warm today, it did feel like an early summer day with a lukewarm wind blowing as well. I wasn’t sure Nova wanted to follow us on a walk today because yesterday I was pretty sure she wouldn’t last till today. It was tough for her walking up stairs or even get up from the dog bed.

Today it was quite the opposite She was the first one out jumping the stairs as if she was young again and really enjoyed our walk 🙂 🙂 The only time she wasn’t happy was when I vacuumed the floors, she hates the vacuum cleaner and for good reasons because she was severely abused as a puppy when they hit her with the tube and scared her and her siblings almost to death with the machine on. She does accept that I do it but isn’t happy about it, that’s why I usually use a cleaning brush most of the time.

Now the sun rise so late that I can’t say we went out in the early morning 🙂 we did however go out as soon as the sun had risen above the few clouds we had in the sky. We walked out to the bog and on the way we could hear people shouting over at the castles grounds. At first I thought someone was shouting after their dog but then I hear the shots, they were hunting. So instead of going down to the creek we went out to the bog. No moose flies today thankfully but lots of small dragonfly relatives, they are really small but still beautiful even though they doesn’t seem t have any colors.

When we had been out there for a while we slowly walked back homewards. It was time to continue with what I do with Alma now to try and calm her down (so far so good even though all the shouting from the hunting party had stressed her up quite a lot) so we stopped and everything worked as I hoped. That’s when I looked up and ahead of us when a fox slowly walked in front of us. Not even Alma made a sound oddly enough. I picked up my camera, took one photo but didn’t have any time to adjust it and then the fox was gone. To be honest I do think that photo turned out amazingly well 🙂

There it was, just for a second and then it was gone again.

The hunters, well those who shouted to scare the animals towards the hunters anyway, came a bit too close, I think they went over to the wrong side and if they do and are being found out they can actually be seen as poachers, by scaring away animals to be hunted on their area so there’s less animals for other hunters. They could of course have permission but I doubt that. We walked homewards slowly just to be able to enjoy the wonderful weather we had. After that they day has been relatively calm and I’ve baked some french rolls plus the vacuuming, a tough day 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day, watch some tv and then bed.

Have a great day!

Today I realized to my very big surprise a big bud on one of my Paphiopedilum hybrids (slipper orchids)! That almost never happens for most of us. I must have done something right for once!

-3,6C (25,52F) outside this morning according to my thermometer. A tad chilly but since we didn’t have any wind and the sun was rising it didn’t feel that bad. I had hoped that they had removed all cattle from the big field/ pasture but I could see that there was still just as many left as they had moved yesterday so we had to walk back and walk in the village instead. Unfortunately we met a huge tractor carrying all the food to the bulls and after that and of course when we passed lots of half adult cows in another field Alma behaved like crazy. She isn’t afraid, her tail shows that clearly but she gets excited and then can’t calm herself down and I can’t calm her down either.

Besides that though we did have a nice walk but if any villager on the other side of the village saw us they must believe I hate her 🙂 🙂 🙂 The rest of the village knows what she’s like though and most people feel sympathy for us both 🙂 🙂 🙂 Just imagine to walk with a dog whining a screaming constantly for well over an hour on every walk and then have no way to calm her down 🙂 🙂 🙂 Then here at home she’s absolutely amazing! She even gather the other dogs if I ask her to and then bring them to the front door. She makes sure Nova is ok all the time, plays with Albin, keeps an eye on Sara the cat and also always check on me that I’m ok but as soon as we go outside the garden with a leash on she starts whining and screaming, once she even started to howl 🙂 🙂 🙂

I haven’t done much today , not even dinner but I have actually dome some of the laundry. I have loads left but I thought why not take a little at a time. I don’t have a big washing machine because I have no space for one, my bathroom is tiny but I do have one made for campers/ mobile homes. Works really great but it is what I would call a manual washing machine. I have to decide how warm the water is so I usually put in the same temperature as when I shower and then open the tap for cold water to rinse it all. Not especially hard but it is annoying sometimes 🙂 🙂  So when I do the laundry I need to think about what I put in, one or two heavier things and the rest light things and so on 🙂

Yesterday evening when we went to bed I could hear Sara the cat miaow loudly from downstairs. I called for her to come up but she didn’t, well You know cats 🙂 🙂 She still wasn’t with us when I woke up and must admit that it was nice with a night of undisturbed sleep. I couldn’t find her when we came down either so I called after her and I could hear here but not figure out where she was. I became a bit worried because we had just been outside and I thought she might have escaped and now was outside in that cold temperature but I couldn’t find her there either. Turns out that I had locked her in the cool cellar all night, she must have went in when I for a second had opened the door to place a potted plant on a shelf  just inside the door. So now I check the door every time we go outside she she doesn’t follow 🙂 🙂

It is time to have a last cup of tea for the day and I’ve bought some candied ginger, dangerously yummy that I think I’ll have some of 🙂

It takes a lot of energy to biting my hand all evening so a nap was needed 🙂

Have a great day!

They moved the cattle.

You know that when it looks like this on the ground just after the sun has disappeared that it most likely will be misty the next morning.

Morning mist, then sunshine quickly vaporize it for thick fog to roll in and stay for quite some time just to be replaced by warmish weather and lots of sunshine. I was surprised when the thick fog came because the air had become rather warm by then. It did roll in from the bog though so I guess it must have been cold out there. I liked it though and we did have plenty of time in the garden when the sun finally won that battle.

WE walked in the village this morning and for once Alma seemed pretty calm, yes she did whine and shout some in the beginning but then seemed to get bored doing it 🙂 Then suddenly all the cattle started to bellow and really loudly plus I heard what I thought was a car honking the horn and then a few more but could not figure out what was happening. Turns out it wasn’t cars but four wheelers and they were moving the cattle from the big pasture to their winter pasture. We met them just as they were going from the big one over our gravel road to the winter one.

I really can’t be angry that Alma started with all her sounds even louder and I can’t be angry that she had problems calming down after they had passed either but that dog can be really loud 🙂 🙂 🙂 So I think that I from now on can have walks in the big pasture from now on. It’s actually several pastures combined to one big, so they can make it bigger or smaller depending on what they need to do. It’s hard to believe but our walks can be as long as 10 km (6,2 miles) and I still would be able to see the village the entire time, well the few homes there is here anyway.

If I can figure out if they moved the entire heard we might have a walk there already tomorrow, would be great because then we wouldn’t have to pass all the dogs being outside barking when we pass them and then Alma would be much calmer, at least as long no lorries pass on the big road beside the pasture. Big road is a bit much to call it but they do drive lorries there quite often. The drivers use it as a short cut to towns and cities further south and I can tell You that it isn’t fun to meet a timber lorry in high speed on that winding road because they almost always use a big part of the meeting lane as well when the road turns.

Two dogs are sleeping in my bedroom, one in the basket, I can’t see who because it’s dark in there now but my guess is that it is Alma and Malkolm is in the bed, probably with Sara the cat. Alma isn’t too happy about the cat since she keeps her awake most f the night 🙂 🙂 🙂 Malkolm just ignores here and then the cat walks over to Nova to sleep beside her for the rest of the night 🙂 Nova is too old to be bothered by anything now days 🙂 🙂

I think it is time for a last cup of tea for the day. I bought a jar of pickled cucumbers yesterday and I do like that but I’m not hungry but still want some cucumber so I think I’ll have a hard bread sandwich so I don’t eat it straight out of the jar 🙂

Have a great day!

Sunny and nice.

That cold we’re having going around here never want to leave. I’ve talked to those getting hit by it before me and just like me they still have it! No fever what I know but runny noses and coughing. So I’m pretty sure this must be covid, I’ve never heard of a cold staying for this long. It’s annoying but it doesn’t seem to want to kill us anyway 🙂 🙂 🙂

The odd thing is that at least I don’t cough at nights, only in the early mornings and in the afternoons. Well I’ve had worse things so it’s just annoying to be honest.  We’ve had rather nice weather here for two days, lots of sunshine and rain only last night. We had a walk in the village yesterday just after noon. Alma had one of her impossible days, that dog wasn’t quiet for a second and she became even worse when first the mailman drove by and even more so when we met some villagers out walking as well 🙂 🙂 🙂

This mornings walk was better thankfully. At least she didn’t pull the leash that much. Both yesterday and today we passed dogs in dog yards, a under stimulated labrador in his garden. Nothing wrong with him really but to be honest I’ve never seen them taking him out for a walk and another little yapping dog in his garden but not close to the gravel road so none of the dogs cared about him at all 🙂 She didn’t care about all the bulls we passed though which I’m happy about because I really don’t want her to anger them up 🙂 🙂 🙂

Malkolm and Sara have played all day, even upstairs and it did sound as if they tore down everything up here 🙂 After that Sara went to Nova for a nap 🙂 Alma is still a bit unsure about what she can do since the day I had to rip her out from the couch when she twice sat down on Sara and not moving when the cat screamed for her life 🙂 🙂 🙂 Alma does after all weigh 35 kg (77 pound) and Sara 0,5kg (around a pound). So if the cat is with me and Alma in the sofa I quite often lift over Sara to Alma so that she knows she’s allowed close to the cat, as long as she doesn’t sit on her 🙂

It is the upper part of my little cottage You can see here 🙂

Again it is time for a last cup of tea for the day and perhaps a banana as well.

Have a great day!

I did it again :-)

So I did the same mistake yesterday as I did the last weekend, slept too much 🙂 This time I wasn’t supposed to have any nap but I was sitting in the recliner watching something on tv when Malkolm crawled up on my lap. He is rather big now and quite heavy so I leaned the back some so he could fit. It was quite nice and cosy and then I fell asleep 🙂 🙂  I don’t know for how long but I was even more tired when I woke up than before he climbed up 🙂 🙂 🙂

The thing was that we were supposed to have quite a dreary weather so I had planned to do all those indoor things one doesn’t want to do when the weather is nice. We had a really nice weather after 10 am but I was sort of locked in by myself for doing those things anyway. So I had finished what I was supposed to do and was just having some tea and a break before we could go out on a walk again 🙂 🙂 🙂

It wasn’t supposed to be especially nice today either so we’ve had a wonderful weather. The morning was once again quite chilly but with sunshine and no wind. We walked in to the village because I knew hunters would be out in the forest today, preparing for the start of the moose hunt the eighth. No morning mist when we went out but a sort of a haze. Last time we were out on a walk both Alma and Malkolm behaved poorly to be honest. so it was a really nice surprise that they behaved quite the opposite today. Well there was this cat passing in front of us that made them go insane for a few minutes but besides that they were really good 🙂

Alma wasn’t even upset when we walked beside the bulls in the big pasture. She accepts the cows and the bull in the pastures around us but never liked any other cattle. I don’t know why but she didn’t care at all about the bulls, to be honest I’m not that fond of them. OK they are usually really kind and friendly but they are huge and always look like it’s just seconds before they’ll attack 🙂 🙂 🙂

Every now and again we have some black bulls in the pasture and I always name the biggest one “El Diabolo” 🙂

It is time for a last cup of tea for the day and for once there’s actually something worth watching on tv. I’ll probably fall asleep anyway but I will try and see an entire program for once 🙂 🙂

Sara taking a break from chasing Malkolms tail 🙂 She climbs up my trousers to have a small nap between my thigh and the recliner 🙂

Have a great day!

It looks like this was the last morning with cold temperatures, sunshine and morning mist for at least a week or so. I’ll miss it but then again both days and nights will stay a bit warmer instead. We’ll also get rain next week, still don’t need more water from the sky, especially not now when the trees drop their leafs and also stop drinking so much water. I guess next year will start with full ground water levels. Still compared to have it has been down on the continent and other parts of the world the little water we’ll  get is nothing.

After our morning walk I had to go to the super market, I had a few things I needed and came home with nothing of that except for milk 🙂 🙂 So tomorrow morning I’ll have porridge for breakfast 🙂 🙂 I did however suddenly remember that I need window putty. I guess it’s the same all over the world, birds just love to eat window putty so every now and again I need to buy more to put where it is needed 🙂 I think I bought too little though but now at least I know where to find it.  I remember when I was a kid one could find a glaziery in almost every neighborhood, today I think we can be happy if there’s one in any town in the county.

Sometimes I miss those good old days that weren’t that good at all to be honest but back in the days we did have grocery stores everywhere. In my neighborhood there was three just around the apartment building where I lived. We also had a vegetable shop, she only sold vegetables and tiny chocolate bars for us kids. We had a candy shop and at least two tobacco shops as well. One butcher and one fishmonger just down the street but that ended the day the butcher found out that the fish monger had an affair with his wife 🙂 Also a haberdashery shop, I still remember the smell from all the different fabrics she had.

I do actually know about a haberdashery shop in this region but that’s the only one. I don’t think we have fishmongers here any more and butchers? well they do sell meat from the farms around here but it isn’t the same, for one thing it is hard to find them 🙂 🙂 You really don’t want to get lost on the roads here, the risk of never coming home is too big 🙂 🙂 🙂 It is easier and cheaper now days though, buy everything online, even fish and meat, and it’ll come straight to the door. Even vegetables and fruit straight from the orchard man living down in Spain or Greece or where ever will come straight to the door. The only problem with that is that one need to be at home when it arrives and even though I love mango the quantity of what one need to buy must be quite a lot to not spend a fortune on it.

It is time for a last cup of tea for the day. Perhaps I’ll have a banana as well. I bought a banana the other day that had deep red peel. I’ve never done that before and it tasted much like a common banana but more like it was a bit old and very sweet, just like I like my bananas but to that price I rather wait until the common bananas just gets old enough 🙂

Have a great day!

She doesn’t care if the dogs still are eating, she jumps in their food bowls and helps them eat it all. So now I need to pick her up as soon as the dogs get their food 🙂 🙂 🙂

The coldest night so far but since the sun rose and there weren’t any clouds (but morning mist) it soon became a really pleasant morning. We went out to the forest as soon as I could see the sun rising through my kitchen window, no risk of any surviving moose flies in the air when it was that cold.

Nova is much better again and the first one to demand food in the morning 🙂 well Sara screams as soon as she think I’m awake but that could be about anything really 🙂 🙂  Nova is too thin though, even though the vet says that she looks great since she’s so old. I think I’ll start giving her more treats, even directly in to her food, better that way since the two other won’t notice it that much if I do it that way 🙂

The world isn’t a happy place right now, war in Ukraine, war in the middle east and the risk of Trump becoming a president again feels too big. plus that we have gang wars here in Sweden so it’s times like this it feels really nice to live in a village at the outskirts of the world. Very little happens here any time of the year. The dogs and I are almost always alone on our walks in the forest or out on the bog, the only thing we really need to look out for are angry moose and wild hogs 🙂 Yes we have wolves but they are almost never seen, only tracks made when they have passed by and to be honest, one can never know how moose and hogs will behave if one meet them 🙂

That I also have the best neighbors one can get helps a lot as well 🙂 The beekeepers cottage is still empty and not a single person came when they had an open house for buyers. No one wants to buy a place for double what it is worth. I do hope however that it won’t be empty for too long, rodents love that and when they start invading a place things can go down hill pretty fast.  I won $ 9 US on the lottery yesterday but I’m afraid that won’t help me much 🙂 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!

Sara has sad eyes, even when she’s hunting Malkolm’s tail she look sad 🙂 The first time she chased Malkolm’s tail he looked horrified 🙂 🙂

My favorite autumn weather.

Another rather wonderful but chilly day. -2C (28,4F) and lots of fog in the morning and sunshine for most of the rest of the day. By the time we came outside it had mostly turned to morning mist which I liked better. The sun had started to rise and rather quickly evaporated the thick fog. Alma had rather early on managed to make the leash to a choke leash. I have no idea how she managed to do that but after that she walked the best she ever has 🙂 🙂 🙂

I don’t use collars on my dogs, especially not Alma because her neck would most likely be destroyed within a week or so but since this worked so well today I might have it the same way tomorrow. She was however more loud than usual so I guess that’s a price I have to pay for her not tearing my shoulders again 🙂 🙂 🙂

We walked down to the creek and it was so nice to not have to wear the hood in my hoodie, this was way too cold for any insects to fly around in 🙂 It won’t be long before even the moose flies will be gone now, there are usually no left in the middle of October. The good thing with these chilly but not awfully cold nights and mornings is that the vegetation slowly gets used to it. None of my potted Apricots, pear trees or citrus trees freeze to death when it happens this slowly. Back in the days our first frost usually killed off loads of the more sensitive potted plants (and those sensitive plants in the garden) because it usually dropped down to -5C (23F) for a couple of nights the first times. Long time since that happened here.

I think I finally has managed to do the right things at the unemployment insurance website 🙂 🙂 🙂 There are still a red dot saying I should do one thing more but I’ve understood that it should be done next week, I truly hope so anyway 🙂 🙂 🙂 I think that to fill in both the the employment agency site will be something one has to do if going to hell one day 🙂 🙂 🙂 So since I’m doing it now perhaps I’m already there 🙂 🙂 🙂

It is time for a last cup of tea for the day and if we’re lucky we’ll have the same weather tomorrow 🙂

Have a great day!

They have started to ripen 🙂

Chilly mornings.

Alma isn’t fond of cows and today there was a cow in the pasture just outside our gate when we went out for our walk 🙂 Later on when I had to drive to the store we had another cow but on the gravel road 🙂 They are usually quite easy to get back in the pasture again 🙂

I’m trying to figure out the unemployment insurance site and it isn’t easy 🙂 🙂 🙂 If there’s something I want to comment or check it says where I should look but nowhere in the site I can find that particular place 🙂 🙂 It could have been so easy to just put in a link but I guess they want us to feel that life is hard 🙂 🙂 🙂 I’ve done what I have been able to today without going insane and I’ll continue to figure out more tomorrow 🙂 🙂

Cold mornings with either morning mist or sunshine with a few clouds up in the air is what seems to be what we’re having in the mornings here. The rest of the days can be anything, today we had sunshine mixed with light showers. Really tricky to figure out when the showers would pass since the forest block most of any possible view. It’s only towards the mountain I really can see anything but then again almost only when my own tress are leaf free 🙂

I’m getting really tired of this last cold, it never gives up! It is the same for all of us that had the pleasure to get it 🙂 No more fever and not especially runny noses but the coughing just refuses to stop, plus it can be gone for a day but then come back again. Thankfully I only seem to have it during the days and not nights like many other have it.

Today when I was in the living room I hear some strange noises in the kitchen. At first I thought it was Sara playing around but the sounds were too loud. So I managed to sneak really quiet out to the kitchen and found Malkolm and Sara going through the trash bag. You should have seen Malkolms guilty face when I cleared my throat 🙂 🙂 🙂 I’ve realized that Malkolm can move really fast and quiet, I did that when I picked up the trash and he suddenly were nowhere to be found 🙂 🙂 🙂 He had run upstairs and jumped up in the bed 🙂 🙂 🙂

It is time to go downstairs and make a cup of tea. I’m not really hungry to be honest but the dogs demands cheese so I guess a sandwich or two could be eaten anyway. There’s actually two programs worth watching on tv tonight and they will of course be shown at the exact same time 🙂 I know I can go in and watch the programs on, in this case, SVT.Play but I’ll most likely have forgotten about it tomorrow 🙂

Have a great day!

She knows which one of the dogs she has the best naps with 🙂

Frost last night and this time it hit everywhere. I brought in some unripe tomatoes yesterday so I hope they all will ripen by the window where I’ve hung them. I haven’t actually checked those outdoors today but I doubt they’ll managed to go undamaged.

We had a really nice morning walk, it was so cold that not even the moose flies were out flying 🙂 The sun had been up in the sky for a while though so most of the frost had already melted away from the vegetation. I would have liked it to be a bit warmer for the rest of the day though but I guess one can’t have it all 🙂

I think Alma look at her self as the mother of all living things and she really is careful when she’s around children, puppies and kittens but for some reason she’s really the opposite when it comes to where she wants to sit or lay down. Today, two times she has either sat down on Sara or laid down over Sara and really haven’t understood why I tore her away or why Sara sounded as if she was fighting for her life, screaming very loud 🙂 🙂 🙂 Sara’s so small that I don’t think she could feel that she was under her 🙂 🙂 🙂

Besides that Sara is thriving now. She has now gained just as much weight last week that she actually weighed when we found her, almost 800 grams (1,76 pound)! Her eyes are now clear but I do think she might not  have perfect sight, if I drop some food beside her she knows I’ve dropped it but it takes some time before she can find it. That can of course be totally normal since she’s so young. That in itself doesn’t matter to me but I’ll talk to the vet tomorrow afternoon about it.

I haven’t had any nap today so I am a bit tired, how on earth did I manage to stay awake when I worked all day 🙂 🙂 🙂 I haven’t done any chores either, I am already getting lazy 🙂 Well I did bake some bread yesterday but only because I didn’t have any at home and I did go to the store today because I didn’t have either dog or cat food. The dog food will most likely arrive tomorrow but that doesn’t help me today.  The cat is now so important to both Alma and Malkolm that both mostly wants to stay indoors rather than to go outside to the garden or neighbors.  It’ll be nice when this first obsession is over and she is big enough to start pestering them instead, dogs usually comes back to normal when that happens 🙂

Have a great day!
