A visit at an Arboretum and two found pots in the cool cellar :-)

Hardy Fuchsia. In some countries around the world it is forbidden to plants since it can be really invasive. Not here in Sweden though where it freezes down during winter and only the roots survive and then it grows up again every summer.

Today I met a friend at a place called Alphems Arboretum, where a mailman around 1903 started to sow seeds of different and rare tree but also perennials since his wife loved flowers. Almost all perennials are gone but the trees still stands. He also loved oddly shaped stones so when he was out bringing letters to the area he also looked at stones with odd shapes. There’s actually tons of info on this on the net but only in Swedish I’m afraid.

We went to this cafe/ restaurant and the prices could scare an angry badger away but I have to say that the gluten free meatball sandwich with beetroot salad was truly yummy πŸ™‚

He also walked around in all creeks and waters in the area barefooted so he could feel if any stones he walked on had odd shapes. Then in the evening he went out with his wheelbarrow and collected the stones, he never did this during the day so that people wouldn’t see him and call him crazy πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ :-)Even though he only went to school for a short while he later on learned to write in both English and German so he could order seeds from all over the world.

So this is the inspiration to the Dwarves house. Just remove the room to the far right and put athatched roof on and there it is.

In 1936 Disney employed a Swede as the Art Director and the first film was Snow white and the seven dwarfs. The Dwarves house is actually inspired by the house the mailman house that he slowly built from one kitchen only to a three room cottage. The cottage had its third room after the film was made though but it was the inspiration because Β The Swede Gustav Tenngren grew up not far away from that place πŸ™‚

I think this was called the dead road, all stones You can see in these photos were carried there by himself or sometimes given to him by others who didn’t think he was crazy πŸ™‚

The tall trees was unfortunately impossible to photograph but there grew amongst all the other trees a pink flowered Snowdrop tree, didn’t even know they could have pink flowers πŸ™‚ Just before I drove away tho the arboretum I went don’t to my cool cellar and looked at two pots I had left there because the Pawpaw seedling had been chewed off by a mouse during winter. At first I thought it was some kind of very pale mushroom that grew in the pot but then I saw it was the “dead” little tree in each pot that suddenly had started to grow and since there was no light on they were pale white πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Had it not been for my friend I might have stepped on this bush, Cotoneaster dammeri.
Most names are gone from my brain but this is some kind of honeysuckle.

So I brought them up and placed them light but not in the sunshine. The soil was a bit damp in one pot but more or less bone dry in the other. The thing is that we tend to think a plant that hasn’t had water in the long run will love to be drenched but they don’t because that’s when we kill most of our plants, so I’m now slowly, slowly watering the pots so that they’ll have a chance to start functioning again before I can water themm like usual. That can take a few days before that happens. The problem is that they now are out of sync with how and when they should have started to grow but that’s a later problem πŸ™‚

There are a few more photos that might be shown tomorrow or when I remember it πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

The two pots I noticed in the cool cellar. They are now slowly turning green like they should be πŸ™‚

It missed us totally.

A Nanking cherry soon to be ripe, I do hope I’ll get it instead of the birds πŸ™‚

We were supposed to have lots of raining thunder today and there was lots of it but not in my village. It passed to the north and south but here the sun shone and it reached 28C (82,4F). I was hoping for the rain so I am a bit disappointed to be honest. I had planned on mowing the lawn today but since the thunder thundered nearby I never started πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ So that’s a funny chore I’ll have to do tomorrow or on Sunday instead but it will new a bit cooler instead so I’m not complaining too much πŸ™‚

Nothing much has happened here lately but the monsterkitten came in one morning sort of looking defeated, only went to the water bowl and then upstairs falling asleep in old Nova’s favourite spot. The dogs and I had heard some cats fighting the evening before so I thought that perhaps that’s why she behaved like she did but there’s not a single scratch on her but then again fleeing from an attacker would be very stressful as well. Today she was back to her normal self again so it seems there’s nothing to worry about but I’ll keep my eye on her.

The rest of the photos shows what I can see sitting on my kitchen stairs.

There is this new cat the newest neighbours brought home and it has been terrorising the neighbours next door for a while now. Alma and Malkolm don’t like it but it is big and scary so they growl at it but won’t go close. So now I’ll be prepared with a bucket of water if it should feel to come to my home, perhaps even buy one of those strong water pistols so it knows who rules in this garden.

Normally it’s time for that last cup of tea for the day but it’s just too hot, both outdoors and indoors. I’ve bought some Elderflower Ade so that and some ice will be perfect instead and why now have Alice or two of the bread I baked the other day πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

One cool day is what we’ll get :-)

The Kankakee mallow is in bloom. It was so dry where it lived before (and several new plants are growing there now πŸ™‚ ) That instead of being 2 feet high they’re now 6 feet high πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Finally a cool day but the heat will come back already tomorrow. We were supposed to have lots of rain and thunder today but both missed the village. I could hear the thunder from a distance and we did get some rain to be honest, a light summer rain for about ten minutes πŸ™‚ Didn’t do much good. Now they’re guessing the heavy rain will come on Friday instead. The one who lives will see as we say over here πŸ™‚

Hard to see it since the background also is green πŸ™‚

Nothing much has happened here, it has been too warm for that πŸ™‚ Not even now when it is cooler anyone of us have any energy to do anything. I’ve watered the tree planted this year and some of the older I know grows in the driest parts of my garden. Plus the leeks and beans in the vegetable patch but that’s it. The forest doves have now moved, I could hear the parents in the trees behind the dog yard yesterday evening and now the younglings have moved too. So now I don’t have to worry that the monsterkitten will find and eat them.

It is quiet in the village, no birds are singing, no cars are driving and I can’t hear a single human or dog either. I guess the birds either think we’ll have more rain and thunder or that they all now are preparing for autumn. No more eggs laid but instead fattening up for the move south. All the other sounds I think depends on that lots of people eat their dinner now and are indoors πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Much better meadow this year πŸ™‚ Lots of different flowers growing there now and the bumblebees loves it.

It is time for something liquid, don’t think tea but most likely lots of water or milk. Also I have a bread baking in the machine and it will be ready in an hour I think. A slice or two with cheese sounds like a good idea πŸ™‚

I don’t think my Chinese Catalpa has started to flower this early ever! Perhaps I’ll get viable seeds this year?
It is the same with one of my perennial sunflowers. They normally flower in late August.

Soon I’ll have plenty of strawberries πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

Just as hot today but with a cool wind blowing.

I can hear thunder in the distance but I’m not sure if it will come our way or not. I wouldn’t mind if it did. It’s just as hot here today as it was yesterday and the dogs only wants to stay outside for short moments before they give up. Today my neighbours little dog decided to take a walk by himself so I was about to go out and help searching for him but just as I was on my way out a villager had found him and called my neighbours πŸ™‚ He had just walked the same way they always walk in the village πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

We were out on our morning walk the same time as we were yesterday and it was slightly cooler today, still no flies oddly enough. I don’t miss them but they are important for all the birds so I do wonder what has happened to them. I wish this was a sign of the coming maps fly season but I’m pretty sure those nasties will be as many or more than usual πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ It was so cool and nice but like yesterday the heat arrived before we reached the cottage, the difference today is that a cool but weak wind is blowing and it helps a lot. Even if the ground still is slightly wet after the thunder day I still watered the plants I planted this spring plus I gave a little extra to those I planted last year. Β Almost all plants that were damaged by the last frost now have new leafs, all but one red mulberry tree. It’s alive and well but just refuse to grow new leafs and I have no idea why.

I’ve also started to look at seeds now for next year. Some businesses have already started with the sales but the ones selling the seeds I want haven’t πŸ™‚ They might be offering free shipment but that isn’t much. Then again if I wait for too long the seeds I want might be sold out before I can order them πŸ™‚ Damned if I do, damned if I don’t situation πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I also picked up my first potatoes today, quite a few but mostly small, those are on the other hand the best and I like frying them hole. I had some for dinner today and the rest for dinner at work during next week.

So I’ve done the dinners and also the laundry, like always but I really should have vacuumed upstairs as well but it is so hot now that I really need to put a limit to how much I should do in the heat so I skipped the vacuuming πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

The younglings have left the nest. I hope the doves comes back again next spring.

This time it worked.

It was much cooler this morning when we woke up, so we had our breakfast and at 6 am we went out for our morning walk. I wore a hoodie again because flies usually fly around even in the early morning if it isn’t 10C (50F) or cooler and it wasn’t that cool unfortunately.

We walked down to the creek since the grass now is too high and still wet after the thunderstorm that it has become a tick paradise. I did rub Yarrow all over the dogs, it is said that ticks dislike the smell of yarrow, just to at least improve the odds πŸ™‚ To my very big surprise we had almost no flies flying around us even though we walked down to their favourite spots at the creek?! I’m not sure where they were but I doubt they will be gone for long, I’m not lucky enough that they’ve all died away πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ plus the birds need them still.

A few birds are still singing here, normally most of them would have stopped by now because it shouldn’t be enough time left to get more babies. Things have changed though and now it’s rather warm way in to November and perhaps some birds have noticed that and try for it one more time. By the way I only found two ticks on Alma after the walk so perhaps the Yarrow really works? It had become pretty warm by the time we arrived at home and it got worse the longer the day passed. We reached 30C (86F) before it finally slowly turned towards cooler. Call it cooler feels like a joke it has only dropped down 1 degree centigrade yet πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

This is unfortunately one of the few Bluebells that isn’t invasive πŸ™‚

The bread I baked yesterday should have stayed in the machine a bit longer, I guess the cheese in it was a bit too much for the machine, it tasted really good though. So to check if it was the cheese I’ve now baked a loaf again today, the loafs are rather small so I’m not drowning in bread πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ and this time it worked perfect! So if I want cheese in the bread from now on I’ll use a bit less and also let the loaf stay in the machine a bit longer since it takes its time to cool down.

Even though we’ve had a long nap, well all the animals have had several long naps, I feel too tired to do anything so I think I’ll make myself a cup of tea. I doubt it will keep me awake since I’m pretty sure the heat will instead πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

Scandinavian hot and I don’t like it.

The car thermometer said 29C (84,2F) when I was almost at home and I must say I really don’t like this heat!! As a Scandinavian I’m not used to this kind of heat but preferred our more cooler summers. I do know some people actually loves this I’m happy for them but I’m personally not especially pleased πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

The gooseberries are almost ripe.

No summer without Californian poppies. I only had a few this year unfortunately.

My plan was to mow the lawn after I had come home after work but since I don’t plan of dying because of heat stroke and/ or total dehydration I skipped it. The dogs tried to play in the garden but gave up pretty quickly and happily went indoors when I opened the door πŸ™‚ They are now sleeping beside me and not even the sound of cars or barking dogs seems to get any interest.

My little meadow is filling up with flowers now. Lots of different coloured Clarkia.

Yarrow grows there too, I better keep an eye on those because they tend to take over totally.

I’m trying to bake the second loaf of bread right now and this time I’ve adjusted the machine for a big loaf. I have however added some cheese this time, a strong cheese I rarely find in the stores. How’s this will affect it all I have no idea though. It’s around an hour left before it’s ready and I guess a few more minutes until I can slice that first piece πŸ™‚ I’ll let You know how everything turnabout tomorrow.

One of my Mock oranges surprised me with a few more flowers.

The entire weekend will be this hot and how people can survive even higher temperatures is an enigma to me. The highest temperature I’v been in was 36C (96,8F) and I didn’t do a thing as soon as the temperature rose. The plants seems to like it a lot though, especially since we had all that rain the other day. I don’t think I need to water anything the coming days πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I have noticed that we have more mosquitoes now though, good for birds and bats but for me it’s just another thing to be annoyed about πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Finally a bean stalk not eaten by snails.
My three Pawpaw seedlings, the two closest started growing this year and the third is from last year but mice ate most of πŸ™‚ I really need to figure out how to have them during winter this year so I can plant them next spring.

We’ll have a walk early tomorrow morning while it still is a bit cooler and perhaps I can mow some of the lawn as well, my neighbours mowed the outside parts yesterday, I had a text message from them if it was ok to mow the lawn at 9 pm, it had finally cooled down so who would In have been to say no πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Β I won’t have any tea today, instead I bought a bottle of elderberry Ade so I’ll have that instead πŸ™‚

The two younglings in the Forest doves nest πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

Thunder and lightning.

We had thunder all day yesterday way in to the night and torrential rain as well and I loved it, especially since none of the dogs are afraid of thunder. Instead they insist on going out and only rain can get them to quickly go indoors again πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ The monsterkitten didn’t seem to mind either, she even went outside when it rained πŸ™‚

So yesterday was hot and sticky but today was and still is way worse and we also have sunshine but that actually makes it feel less horrible, it sort of dries out the air so it doesn’t feel like living in a sea, bath πŸ™‚ Still it’s so hot that the dogs gave up on playing after just a few minutes and now they’r sleeping on the floor beside me. It has been horrible at work just because of the heat and we’re all drinking water like we were elephants πŸ™‚ I must say it is an odd workplace in so many ways but they do make sure that we all get as much fluid replacement as we need. It doesn’t matter what taste those pills have they all taste awful but they do help and that’s the important thing.

I have at least three different Bluebells in my garden now.

A primula has decided it’s spring again πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I now have a memory foam pillow and I slept so well that My neck didn’t hurt this morning. I also got my winter duvet, a warm one according to the seller that specialises in beds and sleeping. Some time after week 32 I’ll get my new mattress pad but yesterday I got something I realised I need. I realised that when I baked bread when it was 27C (80,6F), it isn’t nice to bake bread in that temperature, so I bought a bread baking machine πŸ™‚ I would ahem liked to tell You that the first bread was a totally success but it wasn’t πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Normally strawberries gives berries in spring, I got a few but that was it. However for some reason I do get berries from now on and until the frost stops them. I have never heard about autumn strawberries but I’m not complaining πŸ™‚

The machine has a gluten free setting so that wasn’t the problem. I need to either use the bigger loaf adjustment or less water because it hadn’t baked properly in the middle. Worked great to toast though. Unfortunately it take much longer to bake it in the machine than if I do it with the old oven, almost twice the time, so I’ll use it on Fridays and the weekend. I’ll let You know how the second loaf turns out as soon as I’ve baked it.

My Chinese Catalpa have buds now. Unfortunately the flowers will be at the top of the tree and they are rather small and yellowish.

Oregano in bloom. If You once plant or sow Oregano You will never be without it πŸ™‚

No tea today, it’s just too hot but thankfully I have water or lots of milk so I’ll have that instead πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

I want good weather for those on vacation but really bad for us who works :-)

I’ll get lots of peas this year, this is only one of places where they grow πŸ™‚

Windy and partly cloudy or is it partly sunny? I’ve never know which one to use πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I did three rounds of laundry this morning and it all dried up really quickly. Just enough warm though so I can’t but enjoy the day πŸ™‚

I have several Honeyberry bushes beside the root zone and they needed to be trimmed because they were growing out over the root zone (my grey water filtration system). I also have a Hardy Kiwi vine growing there and it grew all over the place so I think I removed around 80% of the vegetation πŸ™‚
the other side.
The last of the Mock orange flowers.
Troll grapes, not to eat because they are poisonous.

The weather sites are still rather divided on if we’ll get rain or not but they all agree that it’ll be really hot from Thursday and though the weekend. I do wish really nice weather for those having vacation right now but want cool weather since I’ll be working πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Β These weather guesses will of course change multiple times before it’s time and not even then they might be right πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

My neighbours, well at least one in the family πŸ™‚ has decided they’re going to have chickens, the new neighbours have too many. I wouldn’t mind having some myself but have decided that I’ll wait until I’m retired. Yews they are cute and it is nice to have ones own eggs but there’s lots of work, they need food and they tend to draw mice and rats who wants that food as well πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Β All I hope though is that both Alma and Malkolm won’t try to catch them when they are outside the chicken yard πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Most of the Bellflowers are invasive or weeds as we tend to call it and this and the next one is no exception πŸ™‚

The Wood Pigeon now have at least two chicks in the nest πŸ™‚ I really like that such a shy bird nests in my garden, for the second year in a row πŸ™‚

It’s time for a pot of tea and after that I’ll continue to re-pot my citrus trees. I also have a few melon plants that grows by the livxingroom window that I need to do something about. Most years snails and slugs tend to eat the plants so I was wondering if I should just leave them where they are and if there would be melons growing on them try and grow them there. They do need bigger pots though and perhaps one or two must be moved to the kitchen window where they will get lots of sunshine. The problem with the kitchen window is that there’s where I have most of my cacti πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Could be painful to move them πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

My little meadow look so much better than last year. The photo doesn’t do it justice but You can see different dots with blue and other colours πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

We woke up quite early today and it was very and gloomy outside. Rather warm but still not especially nice, I can’t say why though because it was one of those things one just feel but can’t put a finger on to understand why. So we didn’t do much in the morning but took a nap and when we woke up the sun started to shine. So our morning walk was quite late πŸ™‚

The first of the wild raspberries to ripen πŸ™‚ They are delicious and so much tastier than the garden varieties. Used to pick loads back in the days but biting flies tends to stay away from them now days.

The wind had also gained strength so that helped with the flies on our walk but then I noticed that those flies we had around us were the biting kinds but I managed to chase away those landing on the dogs and I wore a thick hoodie so they couldn’t do much to me either thankfully. I hope we won’t have especially many around the cottage this year because they prefer more wet areas and we don’t have any cattle around us at the moment and by the looks of it not for the rest of the summer either, the grass is high in the field surrounding most of the cottage so they’ll most likely use it to make silage.

Lots of butterflies here now though and many different species as well, they won’t sit still for long though so they’re hard to get photos of but I managed to get a few anyway. I started to re-pot my citrus plants and other plants that has needed to be re-potted for a long time now πŸ™‚ Almost all citrus plants and my tea bush were badly hit by the last frost we had soothed have mostly only had branches so far but now new growth shows. One is even giving me flowers πŸ™‚

The weather guessing weather sites have now changed what they think we’ll have for weather next week but the different sites can’t agree on much, some say lots of rain and even warmer than before, yay we’ll be living in a steam bath and some says no rain at all but really Scandinavian hot, I’m not sure I like that either πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ So now I must remember to water all the re-potted plants before I go to work in the morning. Newly re-potted plants need a lot more water than before to survive. I’ve also picked those berries that have ripened in the garden, not much so far, one strawberry, a few red gooseberries, the red currants and five! (out of five bushes) honeyberries. I’m glad I even had some because I need two different varieties to get berries and it only took me ten years until I finally figured that out πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ they do taste like blueberries now of my favourite berries.

It is time for that last cup of tea and then wash and freeze the berries and then wait for the rest of the berries to ripen so I can make some jam.

This citrus tree, a Kalamodin ( I think it might be spelled Calamodine in English) never fails to flower, no matter how bad it has been treated. New flowers despite it almost died in the last frost. It gives small bittersweet fruits perfect for jam and I guess it could be good to make kalamodin ade as well.

Have a great day!

Todays test photo shows our garbage bins. The green ones if for normal trash and the browns are for food. I almost never throw away food so I’v placed min the wrong way so they don’t have to try and empty it.

It was even nicer this morning, the temperature had dropped down to 7C (44,6F). We did have some morning mist but not as much as yesterday. It is quite common for us to have cool and mostly cold nights and mornings here and that’s why we get all that morning mist when the sun rise and heat up the ground.

It never became that hot as they had predicted thankfully πŸ™‚ but that just made it less hot in the factory and we also had a rather strong wind, so I hoped that the wind would blow away all the flies when we were out walking but oh how wrong that was, the wind blew from the wrong direction so the forest stopped it. Still I don’t think we had a single biting fly pestering us, only the forest flies, so that was a great plus. We didn’t see the fox cubs but they are still hanging around because they had left some poop on the road πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ So if we’re out early tomorrow we might have a chance to see them if they still are here.

It might be impossible to see if You look at this photo on Your mobile phones but on top of that dead tree trunk sits a blackbird with larvae in its mouth.

Nothing much has happened here otherwise. I’ve ordered a memory foam pillow today, I’ve never had one so I hope it is as good as it’s said they are. I’ll also order a duvet, a warm one for the winter. I like it to be warm when I fall asleep but always lower the temperature on the radiator when going to bed. My last duvet was treated the same way as my mattress so at the moment I just have a fleece blanket and that won’t help much when the temperature drops on a winters night πŸ™‚

One of my favourite wild flowers just because the flowers are so tiny. The Swedish name for it is Forest lettuce but it is definitely poisonous so they could have chosen a better name for it πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

It is supposed to rain on and off the entire coming week but the temperatures will be high, it’ll be like living in a steam bath πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Then again I think all of You know by now that it isn’t often they are right in their guessing πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ It could just as well be cold and sunshine or what ever else will pass us on its way πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Despite all the rain we’ve gotten lately it still is rather dry in the forest, good if one doesn’t like slugs who need wet grounds to grow and lay eggs, bad if one has a shallow well because it will most likely soon dry out if this continues. My well is deep so I don’t have to worry thankfully.

It’ll be an apple year this year. This apple hangs on the tree I once sowed and my neighbours said that it was the most delicious apple they’ve ever eaten. The problem is that it is prune to be hit by different fungus diseases so I never get many apples from it. If I get lots this year I’ll try them in a pie πŸ™‚

It is time for that last cup of tea and perhaps a sandwich or two. There’s nothing worth watching on tv, mostly reruns or things I don’t like. So I’ll be in the garden with the dogs and monsterkitten, they’ll take turn is chasing each other πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

A nice summer day.

View from my kitchen window. Some species of Aarons’ rod.

Β

Today was one of those days when it had been so nice to have stayed at home. It started with a morning with mist followed by a rather nice and just enough warm day but now in the evening it started to become warmer again, a bit too warm but that’ll change over the weekend.Β

The Kankakee mallow has grown quite big this year. I’m planting them all over the garden now πŸ™‚
Oxalis (the red leafed one) is really invasive. I had one pot of them a few years ago and now it grows everywhere in the garden and soon in my neighbours garden as well.

It felt so nice to see that I don’t have to think about mowing the lawn this weekend πŸ™‚ I went home two hours nearly yesterday just because I could, it was a really nice day as well. So I thought since it should rain during the weekend why not mow the lawn? Didn’t take long despite that fact that it had rained quite a lot since I did it last time. I guess that was when I got the two mosquito bites I now have on my right foot. Well as long as it isn’t ticks I’m happy but they do itch a bit too much πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

My little flower meadow looks a bit better than last year so I’ll give it one more year before I decide to give it up and start something else there.

My remote to the tv died last Tuesday. I thought it was the batteries that needed to be changed because I can’t remember when I put in new batteries the last time but it turns out it died. I only have the free channels and they are all close together so it’s not a big problem except for it is impossible to see where the controls are on the tv, I need a strong light to see it at all πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ So I think I won’t buy a new one because I survived as a child not to have a remote so I think that I now as an adult will manage to survive this until I buy another tv, if I ever do that.

I’ll get strawberries hanging outside the box πŸ™‚

Time to start picking red currants πŸ™‚ I won’t get many but I’ll mix them with the red gooseberries when they are ripe.
Chicory. I didn’t think they survived winter and though the nettles looked odd this year πŸ™‚

It is time for that last cup of tea and then see if there’s anything on tv, well at least on that channel I have on at the moment πŸ™‚ Plus I’ll have a slice or two of the bread I have in the oven right now πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

It was easier than I thought.

According to the weather sites we’re having sunshine right now, we don’t πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ but it is at least not raining. It rained so much last night that I had little lakes in my garden even though it’s just sand and no soil. I do hope that there won’t be any long living puddles anywhere because that would most likely become a mosquito explosion because that’s what they like, small long living puddles where the eggs can hatch.

For me it’s enough with the forest flies πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ So many now and even though they are quite harmless I still can’t stand them. I went to the bank yesterday to see if they could help me to renew my bank id because when reading their info about it I would need either an international id card costing around $ 45 US or a new passport and both would take several weeks to get and we use our bank id for everything here. Turns out that somewhere in the text it tells about another way, I should just open my banks app, press the button to renew my bank id and then ok it by using the bank id I have now πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Why don’t write that first of all??? I wonder how many have gotten a new id card they don’t need just to fix the bank id and for money they might not have? Anyway it made my day so much better so I really didn’t complain πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ After that I made a visit to my old work friends and then stopped by at the grocery store to shop and also pay them a visit since I’ve been shopping there since I moved to this region, 28 years ago, I still shop there every now and again even though I really have no reason to go there since it’s further away from my cottage than most other stores but they sort of are my friends too πŸ™‚

I’ve ordered a new bed mattress online (well it’s actually a thinner mattress that one put over the mattress for the sheets to be folded over but I have no idea what that can be called). I know one really shouldn’t but instead go to the store and try them out but to be honest I wouldn’t know anything more after trying several since it takes a few days or more to actually know if it is a good mattress or not anyway. I was close to buy a Hastens (for You who don’t know about Hastens bedd, it is a luxury brand that mostly rich people buy, like sheiks πŸ™‚ ) but they didn’t have the size I need. They had bigger and they had smaller but not the size to my bed. No I’m not rich but they had a sale with very reduced prices.

Today I got a message that it will be delivered week 32 directly from the factory even though it said they had them in stock. Also on sale by the way but still rather expensive but when one need a new mattress one must buy it, night sleep is so important so if one can afford it one better buy it.The monsterkitten did horrible things to my old duvet last winter so I need a new one when winter arrives but I better order one since I’m getting a mattress and perhaps buy new pillows as well. I want firm pillows but still to be able to shape them as I want πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I do that when I sleep I’ve noticed πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Also my remote to the tv has died, not a huge problem except for that it’s really hard to see what one is doing when trying to do it on the tv itself. It’s made to look invisible and they’ve been quite successful in doing that so I need a flashlight to be able to see even where I can do it πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Have a great day!
