A nasty biting wind.

The day started rather nice even though it was -6C (21,2F) but there was no wind so it didn’t feel that bad when I let the dogs out after we’d woken up. The sun rose and it felt even better until the wind started to blow. A bitter cold wind that made its way in to the bones in my body.

Today the wind blew from north-east and it’s the only time it actually reach my cottage and garden (well it reaches from east as well). We were mostly in the forest while having our walks so in there it was quite a lot better. Still not an animal moved and not birds made any sound, not even the Jays.

So we’ve done very little today just because of the wind. The most exiting thing I did was to make pancakes πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Also I ate the last of the christmas food and that’s always a relief to be honest. Holiday food is always great the first two days but after that it’s just annoying to have to continue eating it πŸ™‚

No mice in the box trap today so perhaps I’ve now thinned most of them out πŸ™‚ I will not shout hi before I crossed the creek though (old Swedish saying). It might just be that they now learned that no matter how tasty coconut flakes are it still isn’t worth trying to reach them πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day. I think I’ll read a book or perhaps surf the net. To be honest, how often do You get out on the internet without having something already planned? I rarely do because no matter how much info there is about frogs in Africa or monkeys in Asia or what ever I rarely just go out and search for anything unless I really need to know about something special. I could do like that back in the days we had dictionaries, just open a book and read the first subject on a random page and then just keep on following references in that text πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ It was actually quite fun and I did learn a lot by doing so πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

I almost missed it :-)

Β

We woke up to a cold and foggy world today which, despite the cold, is one of my favourite weathers πŸ™‚ So as soon as it was light enough the dogs and I walked out to the bog. If I had known the fog would stay all day we would have had a longer walk down to the creek and out on the bog there. Days like these are quiet days, not only does the fog dampen sounds from the big road but also no birds make any sounds at all. Well there was these two ravens flying above us who made their metallic sounds a couple of times but that was it.

Alma behaved so well so if there had been any animals out on the fields we would have been able to see them, at least if they were close enough because the fog was so thick sometimes that the camera couldn’t find places to focus on πŸ™‚ Β we walked out on the peninsula and when we stood there looking out over the bog we could hear something moving around but it never came close enough for us to see it. It was most likely one or two wild hogs because if they know we are around they really don’t care if they can be seen πŸ™‚ and really doesn’t care if we hear them. I always thought the wolves would hunt them but I’ve learned that wolves aren’t especially interested in wild hogs and I guess that’s why they don’t care about being heard or seen.

I sat in my recliner after we had come home and started to think about what time I was going to x-ray my hips tomorrow and after that see my doctor. I have experimental hip implants in my hips since I was too young to get hip prostheses since they would wear out way to fast. Turns out that these implants mostly were quite horrible to those getting them. They leaked lots of heavy metals in to the body and both the bones, muscles and tendon attachments could start to dissolve because of that. The doctor I had for my first surgery however is a snob πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ so he chose the most expensive kinds there was and therefore I have no such problems πŸ™‚ My “new” doctor of course chose the same kind for my other hip πŸ™‚ They do check my blood and take new x-rays every five years now (before it was every year) just in case something goes wrong. So if they can’t find any heavy metals in my blood I’ll do this again after five years πŸ™‚

Anyway it turns out it was today I would go to the hospital πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I still had lots of time going there so no panic πŸ™‚ Normally I don’t mind driving around in fog unless it is dark outside or that it is colder then 0C (32F) since fog is water and when it hits the road it starts to freeze. Most of the way was fine though but it had started to freeze on my way home. No traffic at that time though so I could drive in the speed I felt safe, also it helps if one drives behind a tractor the last 500 meters before driving in on the village gravel road πŸ™‚Β

It started to become dark again as soon as I had come home otherwise we would have had another walk to the forest but since we have hogs, moose and eventual wolves here I didn’t want to meet any of them when it was dark πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I haven’t figured out what to have for dinner so I guess it’ll be warm sandwiches with meatballs and sausages and lots of cheese πŸ™‚ Plus I*ll of course have that last cup of tea for the day πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

So this is my Korean spruce. Its top was destroyed long ago and it took may years before a branch decided to become the new top πŸ™‚ So it does have an odd shape.
So the lights also have an odd shape πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I was a bit stressed today and the wolves have returned they say.

Tomatoes hanging to ripen on both sides of the window.

Really nice day, weather-wise that is, cold in the morning but we’ve had sunshine all day so even if the temperature didn’t sky rocket it still was very pleasant in the garden.

Fir the first time in ages I saw three moose running across the fields, one bull, one cow and one calf.

What did stress me out quite a lot is that my mobile suddenly went in to secure mode so lots of important apps stopped working (oddly enough I still could go in to Bluesky πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ ) I don’t know how it is in the rest of the world but over here we need our Bank Id every time we buy anything online or even just need to visit authorities online. So if that doesn’t work (it was shut off by the phone) we can’t do anything really. Also we have a pay system called Swish so we can pay via that in stores or just send over money to other people, could that be the same sort as venmo perhaps?

No matter how I followed instructions the phone just refused to let it go. So I checked online via my computer and then I saw the problem, if the volume button is in any way stuck (mine was since that day I dropped my phone and it hit a stone, so I always had maximum volume πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ ) so after spraying 556 and sort of twisting the phone, don’t know how to describe it in another way, the volume button finally loosened up and all apps came back πŸ™‚ Now however the volume changes depending on what mood the phone is in, sometimes really loud and sometimes no volume at all πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

So with a slight anxiety I went online again and to my favourite site when it comes to used electronics and bought a “new” phone. I really didn’t check what it was but it was the first phone that said it works on 5G πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I went back after and I have bought a Samsung Galaxy 53 and payed with shipping $235 US. A lot of money but still not compared to what any new phone would cost here. It is in pristine condition the ad says and this site has never lied about anything before so I doubt they have started now. Anyhow before all this happened my new hedge trimmer arrived today, not as expensive as the phone but not far behind, arrived today. Not many safety instructions but a few were crystal clear. If one is a pregnant woman, drunk, a child or a mental health patient one isn’t allowed to use the trimmer πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Really where do they get these ideas from? Also shortly after I had ordered it I got a mail where they told me they had approved of me buying one? πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Sort of like accepting me in to a cult or a very exclusive club πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Also I haven’t seen the Monsterkitten today and that worries me, she’s usually working like a clock. I do hope she’s just out on an adventure and will come back tonight or tomorrow. The dogs are looking for her as well. I’ve checked that I haven’t locked her in anywhere and also been to my neighbours garage just in case she’s been there. They are now saying a wolf might hang around here again, my dogs haven’t shown any signs that they’ve noticed any wolves but if we’re unlucky the monster might have met it.

This flower covered the entire flowerbed outside the kitchen and since I didn’t see more than one bumblebee all day I ripped them up. They spread like weeds so I’ll have plenty next year again.

I found three more pots with plants in beneath them today (yesterday I found yet another potted quince seedling) It is two roses and one hardy hibiscus. They are now the first habitants in the greenhouse πŸ™‚

It is time for a cup of tea and a slice or two from the just out of the oven bread πŸ™‚ Tonight I’ll nit just check for badgers in the garden, I’ll also check for wolves πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

So much rain.

Most of the plum tree is gone now. All I need now is a day or two with weather that dries up the ground so I can cut the rest with my chainsaw. After that I need to start thinking about what else can grow there instead πŸ™‚

Lots of rain has been falling here today, from before I woke up until now at almost seven pm. I don’t mind the rain but it has stayed on the chilly side all the time.

One of four piles with twigs and branches from my two plum trees. I’ve started to cut them in smaller pieces so the wood chipper (compost grinder) will have an easier job.

I dug up the hardy hibiscus and thought the buds would fall off but here’s the flower. It was filled with petals before but now it looks like this to my great joy πŸ™‚

So we haven’t done anything really, napped a short while and watched tv. All of us is a bit bored now because rain makes the dogs stay indoors Β πŸ™‚ They only run out for a few minutes to do what they must and then indoors again. Β Yesterday evening, around eight pm it was anything but boring here. I let the dogs outside and then Malkolm came running back to the front door and Alma started to bark.

One of the five pawpaw seedlings. If winter doesn’t kill it I’m afraid the dogs will πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ They run fast and wild when they play and don’t even see trees in their way πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I walked around the cottage to see if I could find out what it was she barked at. She stared towards a bush and growled so I told her to go back indoors and I pointed my headlight towards the bush and there it was, a rather big badger hiding behind it. Poor thing, it must have been so scared. European badgers has a reputation of being aggressive and dangerous but that’s just nonsense. If they can they rather run away than have to meet dogs and humans. Β The reason they are believed to be dangerous is because hunters. I think I also would become pretty aggressive if someone tossed down aggressive dogs in to my home and I too would attack the one doing it.

So tonight I’ll take a walk in the garden before I let out the dogs so it can be alone when it visits us. Badgers eat all those snails and slugs we hate plus a lot of other bugs and larvae we don’t want close to us. I think they also might eat apples from the ground and to me that’s positive since I have so many πŸ™‚ It’s time for that last cup of tea and later tonight they show Elsbeth again πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

One more nice day tomorrow, after that the rain comes.

Sunshine again this morning but it didn’t last for long, a meh fog arrived and after that it stayed cloudy for quite some time. It wasn’t really until late afternoon we had sunshine again but it was at least warm and nice.

So the kitchen door has stayed open most of the day and if I’ve said that we haven’t had especially many wasps (Yellowjackets) here I changed my view about that today. This is the time of year the new queens have left the nest and the workers therefore has nothing to do. That makes them confused and pretty angry and it doesn’t get better when they’ve eaten fermented apples on the ground. They can be pretty nasty and attack without any reason at all. This is the only time in the year I kill them if they start to be nasty towards me. They do so much good all summer but now they have no purpose since the queens are gone.

Since I hadn’t planned to do anything special today I finally used the chain saw. As I’ve mentioned earlier grape elder wood aren’t good for much after they’ve been cut down, not even in life the wood is especially tough, so even though they were quite thick it just too 15 seconds to cut those stumps off. I did go out on the net to see if it can be used to anything and it did say one could use it as fire wood but it wasn’t recommended since the wood (the entire plant actually) is poisonous.

The bog is yellow now, autumn is here.

Besides that I really haven’t done much today. I’ve planted one of the quince seedlings, there was sort of a space vacant when I had cut down the grape elder. Well I cut down two grape elders to be honest and should therefore be able to plant one more but the other one grew beside the huge rose I still am cutting down and also there grows an English walnut not far fro it so in the long run, if the walnut keeps on surviving it will be too much shade there. My black walnut on the other side of the garden is now higher than the cottage and grows way too close to it. I never thought it would survive here but oh how wrong I was πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I will have to cut off the branches that soon will be long enough to slam hard on the roof when it is windy.

It will be nice weather tomorrow again but after that they say it will go downhill, lots of rain and lower temperatures. I really don’t need to go to the supermarket yet but if I go on Saturday as I’ve planned it will be a bit nasty weather to drive in. On the other side I’m waiting for a parcel with a LED light bar that I need to have down in the cool cellar and it might arrive tomorrow but on the opposite way to the supermarket πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Well the lighter can wait until the weather gets a bit nicer again πŸ™‚ I’m sitting here with my last cup of tea for the day and today I’ll watch Elsbeth on tv πŸ™‚

My little meadow is still full of flowers.

My Black walnut. I wish that I had planted it just a meter (much the same as a yard) to the right but I guess in the long run that wouldn’t have helped anyway πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

A tad chilly in the morning.

I always have the bedroom window open during summer, day and night unless it’s hot as h..l outside. I woke up during the night feeling rather cold but didn’t think more about it than pulling the blanket over me and having a dog sleeping closer to me πŸ™‚ I checked the thermometer when we went down to the kitchen and it had been a tad chilly outside. It was 4,9 C (40,82 F) outside and as coldest it had been 3 C (37,4 F).

The sun has been shining all day though and the northern winds we’ve had went from chilly to rather nice during the day. Besides watering plants I really can’t remember what I’ve been doing πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Yesterday I did start reading a book again and actually enjoyed it so much that I had to force myself to put it away. That hasn’t happened in a very long time, not since I was hit by covid and the brain refused to work as it should. I have been reading on and off anyway but sort of not enjoyed it.

Sometimes it’s hard to chose between keeping the orange sky but see the fog a bit less good or see the fog but losing the orange sky πŸ™‚

Well I did dig up some potatoes and raw fried them in the oven and it was just as tasty as I remembered it πŸ™‚ With them I had a few meatballs and sausages πŸ™‚ Nothing fancy but really tasty πŸ™‚ I’ve also been locking for a place for my last pear tree seedling but so far no luck. I have started to cut down the grape elder and the huge rose (it has a couple of English names so I chose Beach rose) living side by side. The wild form is seen as invasive and should be removed and that’s a tough job since those thorns are nasty. This one has been left alone for well over twenty years so it’s really tough to cut down. I’m pretty sure that job will take a year or so but otherwise that would have been a good spot.

I found some rust coloured mums the other day and realised that it’s now days the only colour I like on them πŸ™‚ I’ve planted them in a new flowerbed because they might survive the winter here. They’ll look very different next year though because they’ll grow rather high and if they get the chance to flower it’ll be late in autumn I’ve heard.

I’ve already had my last cup of tea for the day so now I don’t know what to do πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Well I can always have a bowl with cornflakes, I like to slice a banana in it and dust it with cinnamon plus the dogs will get a piece off banana each πŸ™‚

I have the same problem with my Giant Sequoia seedling as the Pawpaws, mice seems to like eating them so I can’t have them in the cool cellar. This one should have been twice as big if it hadn’t been for the mice. So I’ll try and cover it during winter and hope for the best and I’ll have to do the same with the Pawpaws.

Have a great day!

Only took me seven? months to figure out :-)

Β

It’s a Scandinavian hot day today, 27C (80,6F) and I’m not too happy about it. Too warm for a walk, the dogs just ran in to the garden and laid down on the grass when I came home. They tried to play some but gave up πŸ™‚ I covered all windows before I left this morning with the result that it was only 24C (75,2F) indoors. Still pretty warm upstairs so I might spend the night in a sofa in the livxingroom instead.

Tomorrow will be even warmer, possibly 30C (86F) but Thursday it will fall down to just below 20C (68F) and it will also rain quite a lot if they’re guessing it right. This is still nothing compared to how hot it is down in Spain and Portugal, temperatures there reach well over 45C (113F) so I really don’t have a lot to complain about to be honest πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚Β

I should have mowed the lawn yesterday but it was already warm so I skipped it, so I really should have mowed the lawn today but it was even warmer so no. Tomorrow will be nasty so I won’t even think about it πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ The good thing is that the dog house is placed on the north side of the wood shed so it was actually quite nice in there, so the dogs were naturally not there but in the garage instead. To be honest even though the old garage is made with tin walls and roof it still is quite cool there during hot days, can’t explain it really because it, by logic, should be hot as h..l in there, plus the dog yard is shadowed most of the afternoon by big trees just outside the fence so it wasn’t too bad there either, it will be tomorrow though.

This Pawpaw is most likely four years od and sown from a seed (bought it so it isn’t any of my seedlings) and it grows much better than

the name variety, just as old and bought at the same time. The name variety is said to have earlier ripening fruits so it should be ahead of the other one.

The White mulberry tree I bought sort of died but now a new shoot comes from the roots. I haven’t seen any place It’s grafted so if I’m lucky it will still give good tasting berries.

It is time for something cool or cold to drink and then maybe some ice cream πŸ™‚ By the way, I couldn’t get any sound coming out of this computer I bought last autumn. I’ve really tried to because it has a camera so why should it not have sound. Turns out on had to go deep in to the settings to start the speakers and now I have it πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

I have a cold again.

I think this is a Welsh poppy. It is said to behave like a bad weed but not here. I sow it every year and all I’ve gotten is two or three that usually dies during winter despite it being a perennial.

I always complain about not being able to remember my dreams, I think I’ve done that at 5 times as maximum. However I do remember the dream I had last night and I was so annoyed that I woke up at 4 am and couldn’t fall asleep again πŸ™‚ I dreamed that there was a tiny black and walking all over my back and when ever I tried to get rid of it it rushed out of reach πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I even tried to squash it by lying down and rub my back towards the bed πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

When I woke up I realised that I now have a cold and a slight fever. Lots of people have it now but it seems to be short lived so my guess is that it’s over by Monday. My entire body hurts, especially my neck and head and since I can’t even eat anti inflammatory pills for children I have to rely on coffee πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I’ve had too much coffee today so all I can do is to wish that it’s over by tomorrow.

If You look carefully You can see the monster climbing in a bush. She tried to surprise a magpie youngling and all magpies just laughed out loud πŸ™‚

I checked my lottery tickets on Wednesday evening. It is called Lotto and one has to pick to seven numbers out of 35. They’ll also draw four extra numbers that if one has six right and one of the extra numbers one win a bit more. You won’t be rich by having six right and an extra number but You would still be very happy. The big money is in seven right, then it can be millions we’re talking about. Well I got four right and then three of those extra also were my numbers. So technically I had seven right numbers but in the wrong way πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ So instead of millions I won what would be $ 2 US πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I didn’t even get annoyed, I just laughed out loud πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Rainy day today but we have actually had some sunshine as well. A bit chilly though but I’ve been outside wearing a sweater just so I Β could get some fresh air and feel a bit less sick πŸ™‚ The dogs and I stayed outside for quite a while yesterday evening. My lilacs have weak branches so when ever it rains they hang down so it is impossible to walk beside them to get around the cottage. So all evening yesterday I pruned away all branches that hangs low. I also cut away those being behind the huge roses and bled quite a lot after that πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ plus I opened up around the Red oak so it gets more light and air. So now it’s like a tunnel behind the roses and both I and the dogs can walk there now πŸ™‚

Now I can pass without being drenched every time it has rained.

I can also walk where You see Alma.

It continues on the other side of the gate.

It ends in my woodland.

These are the roses from the other side πŸ™‚ No one can see me from the garden and no one from the road because of the lilacs πŸ™‚

I think it is time for another cup of coffee but before that I’ll have some honey. I’m so tired right now that I doubt any Β amount of coffee will keep me awake tonight πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

I think this must be one of our most beautiful beetle but it wasn’t until I reduced the size of this photo that I noticed there actually were two beetles.

Yesterday after I had come home from work and the walk with the dogs I started baking a bread, I sat down in the recliner and woke up by the timer alarming that it was time to put the bread in the oven. I was so confused when the alarm started that I had no idea where I were, if it meant I was going to work and why in that case did the sun shine so bright πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ After that the entire evening was sort of strange πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ The bread was really good though πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Today has been rather nice, mostly cloudy but with some sunshine every now and again and even a few drops of rain have been falling now in the afternoon. Pollen is hitting me hard now but I’ve still mostly been outside. I had to mow the lawn, well have to isn’t right because no one would care since no one can see it through my hedge anyway but the longer the grass is the more ticks will living here. I do like that wildlife likes my garden but I don’t like the ticks.

After that I dug up the last chunk of Kankakee mallows and replanted them in pots until I know where to place them. I already have three of them in the ground but now I have nine bigger or small plants in pots waiting to get a space somewhere. I know that it is endangered since it only grows on an island in the wild and it has struggled to survive for years, so if they ever need some help to save it I have plenty of plants (and perhaps seeds) to share πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

A few of the Kankakee mallows.

I also replanted some of the seedlings I had in the kitchen and also then last of the trees I had in the cool cellar during winter. Two of the four giant Sequoias have survived winter and is now growing again despite the fact that mice tried to eat them during winter. Now I have to find out what kind of soil they like so I can fix that and repot them as well. They will not spend next winter in the cool clear, that’s for sure so I better think about how I can have them outdoors instead. The Pawpaw trees and slowly getting new leafs but it looks like the Persimmon has lost all of the twigs and branches this winter but the stem is good so lets hope it will grow new ones.

It is time to get something to eat, first the dogs and the monster kitten and after that me. Have no idea though what I’ll make to myself but if I can’t figure out something I can always have corn flakes again πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

Warmer nights again.

Yesterday I saw the mosnterkitten up the road having a chat with another cat but then I remembered that she never followed us outside. So this cat to the left must be a sibling to her πŸ™‚

We were so close to having frost again last night that we almost could touch it, it must have been those very thin clouds that saved us from it.Mostly grey and dull today but suddenly the sun shone through the clouds at the same time I came home. So the dogs and I had a really nice walk down to the creek.

The birds were singing and it would have been odd if they hadn’t since this is the time of year when they really are supposed to do that. We even saw a roe deer goat, which I’ve learned the females are called, only the bigger deer have doe and the moose is called a cow for some reason. I wonder why the aren’t called the same since they all belong to the deer?

Yesterday I finally forced me to bring out all the cardboard boxes to the car, most of them were already opened up and mad flat but it still took me almost 30 minutes to get them all into the car πŸ™‚ Mostly because I dropped so many on the ground before reaching the car, why not try to bring them all at the same time πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

The night temperatures will finally be well above frost again, it didn’t feel right to have to remove ice from the car when days have been so warm, it was like we had taken several steps backwards in to winter again and since I didn’t have to remove any ice from my car during winter it really didn’t feel nice at all πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and perhaps we’ll hear who the new pope is, I’m not catholic but I’m still curious πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

It has been pouring down.

The Christmas cactus liked to be placed outside again πŸ™‚

Well the rain that didn’t fall during easter did fall yesterday evening, all night and well in to this day πŸ™‚ We need it so I will for once not complain about it. I did forget to check how much it filled up the water barrels though, I want them full before summer starts properly.

I write properly because the meteorological summer has actually arrived here already, that means that the temperature never falls below 0C (32F) five days in a row. They showed a map on tv and it is slowly getting closer to this village. Won’t happen this week though because there’s a risk for night frost during the weekend the weather apps say. Days will be warm though.

I still like to go to work so I think I like this place I’m working at πŸ™‚ It’s hard to think but even though FalkΓΆping is a rather small town the traffic is horrible πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ It goes faster to take a detour when driving home than to go the most logical way. Also there don’t like it when one follows the traffic rules πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ They all want to go home so don’t You dare to follow those because that takes so much longer πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

We still have a few Elm trees in the forest but one is now dying so I guess the other will follow soon.

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and then watch some tv, I’ll take the sofa instead of the recliner because then the dogs can join me πŸ™‚ This change from being at home all day to now go to work is worse for them than it is for me so they need that extra time staying close πŸ™‚

I have a Korean spruce where the top once died and it has taken lots of years for the tree to chose another branch as a new top. Now it looks like a n odd chair πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Ninebark.

Elder leafs.

Lungwort spreads happily here and they don’t seem to care about me mowing them down all summer long πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

The wild hogs comes closer and closer.

The wild hogs are now just 50 meters (much the same in yards) away from my cottage, in the cow pasture beside the dog house/ yard. I did wonder why the dogs kept running around like crazy during the night πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

-6C (21,2F) as coldest last night but it can’t have lasted that long because it was close to 0C (32F) when we went outside after we had woken up. They said the sun would start to show around 8 am, so of course it didn’t arrive until after noon but when it did the world warmed up properly again πŸ™‚

I haven’t done much today, I sowed some leek seeds and was about to sow some bell pepper seeds but for some reason I still haven’t πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I’ll do it after writing this πŸ™‚ I can’t start sowing especially much yet because I don’t have the space indoors and we’ll most likely have frost several nights the coming week, days will be warmer again though.

Chionodoxa.

Vinca minor.

This is how it looks after I removed the grapevine. I think I’ll plant an apricot tree there.

Can never remember the name on these, spreads really happily everywhere though.

I started to clean up my garden yesterday and continued for a while today. I also gathered all the pots I’ve spread around the garden πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ For some reason I never empty them in the autumn so I really need to do it now before weeds grow and cover them so I can’t find any when I need to πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I’ve also continued to rip up stinging nettle roots and this time I managed to stay away from those nasty leafs. I have way too many nettles in the garden but then again they are edible so it is perhaps not such a bad thing to have just in case the orange idiot does something really stupid (worse than what he has so far and he’s done some really stupid things) πŸ™‚

I also tried to nap in the sofa while the sun shone through that window. Stupid idea when one has two dogs and a cat πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I can however tell You that when I gave up they finally decided it was time for them to have a nap πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

The orchid that flowered earlier this winter decided to give me more flowers, didn’t see that until I thought it was time topwater it πŸ™‚

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day. I must remember to buy more tea tomorrow when I’ll drive to my health care place to give blood before the kidney x-rays. Some time this week I’ll know if I got a job at the coffin factory, if not it sounds like I have another one on the way, they promised to call back this week and give me a job if I didn’t got the coffin job.

Have a great day!
