Winter wonderland.

We woke up to a village covered in white, well covered is a bit much but it is at least more snow on the ground than last time. It made my neighbor happy because it’s her birthday today and she wanted snow at least today and around Christmas 🙂

Even I must admit that it looks beautiful outside now and if the weather sites are somewhat right it might stay like this for a week or longer. I often hear that the snow at least makes it less dark but that’s only true if there is some light reflecting on it, I learned that when I moved to the countryside, if it is cloudy it’s just as dark as it is without snow 🙂 🙂 A clear sky and full moon is the best but since a clear sky usually also means nasty cold I prefer to have it cloudy at nights 🙂 🙂

I went to the super market this morning, Tuesday mornings are perfect to go there because there’s so little customers there that one can take time to just walk around looking for what one wants to buy and still not be in the way for others 🙂 That’s a dangerous strategy though because it is too easy to find other things to buy 🙂 I made it through without buying anything that wasn’t on the list though 🙂

I’ve started to put seeds in the feeder that is hanging in the huge lilacs and the birds of course loves it and I hope it will stop them from eating all the window putty from my windows. I have no idea what it is that makes them love eating it and it is so annoying! Anyway the small birds are happy and so is the Sparrowhawk. The first thing that happened was a Sparrowhawk catching a house sparrow in front of me. I really can’t be angry because they need food too but I do think it could have been polite enough to wait until I had walked in again 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day, I’ve just made a couple of scones and they are good but I don’t like how they smell for some reason. So the faster I eat these the quicker I can make other ones that doesn’t smell like these 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!

A bit grumpy after having a nap in my sweater 🙂

So I went with my neighbor to get my car this morning and thankfully those working in the reception start half an hour early because it was a bit too chilly to have to stand and wait outside until I could get my car 🙂 I would have survived but it wouldn’t have been nice 🙂

Lots of lichens on the trees says we have a very clean air here.

I was going to the store as well today but it was too early for that as well, so I drove to my old work place and made a visit to my old work friends. Times  are hard now so they didn’t have much to do. I may not like the leadership of that place but I don’t want my old friends to lose their jobs. The leadership made a huge miscalculation to how much we would have to do when they started the evening/night shift so people have had to go. Well that happens when one believes one is a god but quite frankly is dumb as a doorknob 🙂 🙂 🙂

After that I went to the grocery store in that village, I’ve done most of my grocery shopping there since I moved to this county and that’s over 27 years now, so I won’t stop now just because I don’t live nearby. I don’t go there as often though but since I know them all it’s worth the trip every now and again 🙂 I didn’t have any shopping list today but surprisingly I managed to get everything I wanted but for a cheese. I remember that I turned towards the cheese but something caught my eye and I never got one with me home 🙂 🙂 So it’s a good thing that I have a neighbor working at a supermarket 🙂 So now I have what I need for almost a week I think 🙂

I think someone is out cutting down trees somewhere close to the creek. To be honest I can’t hear anything sounding like those huge saws they have but something big that makes a lots of noise works down there anyway. I don’t think anyone will work there tomorrow so I think I’ll have our morning walk there tomorrow. If they work we won’t come anywhere near before Alma freaks out, she is very sensitive to noise and it doesn’t have to be especially loud, she was so stressed on our walk today and we walked far away. Next time we’ll go to the vet I’ll ask him if there’s anything I can give her so she doesn’t work herself up like she does. It has gone worse again after Nova had to leave.

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and I might make myself a couple of sandwiches, perhaps have some christmas ham, beetroot salad(I’ve understood that our beetroot salad isn’t the same You have on the other side of the ocean, we have vinegar and mayo as the base in ours) and I might even have a couple of slices of strong cheese 🙂

Not many photos from the wild life camera lately. So here’s one of the cats from the farm uphill 🙂

Have a great day!

A bit chilly.

We had a clear sky when I woke up this morning and I could see that the sun was rising even though it still was a couple of hours before that happened. I opened the door and followed the dogs outside and realized that if we stayed outdoor for more than a few minutes we would all die 🙂 🙂 still standing as the ones the Ice queen in Narnia froze to statues 🙂 🙂

-12 C (10,4 F) but thankfully no wind at that moment. we did get a very weak wind when we went out on our walk though but by then the sun was up shining, not that it felt especially much warmer but my imagination is strong so I decided it was 🙂 🙂  We walked down to the bog and out to the island I like so much to walk at.  This time I decided that we should walk on the more beautiful side of it. I think it must have been well over a year since we were there, can’t remember Malkolm ever walking there so it must have been long before he moved here. That side of the island is as it most beautiful when spring hasn’t turned to summer because the sun reach that side and all mosses and lichens shine so beautiful in that light early in the morning.

What I didn’t know was that lots of dead trees had fallen during the storms that it was impossible to walk that way. It’s a nature reserve so fallen trees stays where they are. So instead we had to walk through a dense shrubbery containing mostly of young birches, really fun to do that with a dog like Alma 🙂 🙂 🙂 We finally managed to walk through it and to the island again. Unfortunately the frozen water in the bog was covered with snow and so was all moss and lichens, not by much but enough to hide what it looks like there. Still a beautiful place though. We did hear a deer jumping away so after that Alma was slightly impossible to walk with.

This is actually the county border, I live around 200 meters from it.

I did make a macaroni pudding today and I must say it was delicious 🙂 I ate too much of course but there’s still enough left for dinner tomorrow. I also tried one of all the recipes on apple pie made in a micro. Well I wouldn’t call what I did a pie in any way, it was more like oatmeal cookies with apples mixed in 🙂 🙂 Still really nice but not a pie. There seems to be loads of those recipes so I think I’ll try another tomorrow 🙂

It’ll have be cold tomorrow as well and sunshine all day long, at least that is what they all are guessing but it will be almost 10 C (50 F)  on Sunday. It will also rain they say but I will not complain, I really don’t like winter 🙂 I really am born in the wrong part of the world when it comes to the cold season 🙂 🙂 Time for a last cup of tea for the day and then some tv watching, for once there’s actually something I want to see 🙂

Have a great day!

The water filled puddles are impossible to see when the thin layer of snow covers them.

I missed a foggy morning walk.

The only foggy photo I took today 🙂

We had thick fog this morning, perfect for a morning walk but I was going to visit my friend in the garden center and it takes some time to get there so I had to skip the morning walk. We had our “morning” walk when I came home just after noon instead.

I do miss the days when I had my own garden center but it was a lot of work for very little money. Unless it’s a holiday of some kind or beginning of spring very little happens, very fun though but it is nice to have dinner every now and again 🙂 🙂 🙂 Quite often if not always I get some plants/flowers with me home, it is when the plants are too old to sell 🙂 So today I came home with two Butterfly orchids that had seen better days and a huge Croton. Crotons really hate dry air so they usually don’t last for long in modern homes, it usually don’t take long time before the first pests arrive, like spider mites and even if one can be successful in removing them the first time they don’t take long to come back.

Too dry air in a 100 year old cottage is rarely a problem as long as the plant doesn’t stand too close to a radiator but it is so big that I have no idea where to place it 🙂 🙂 🙂 Don’t need much sunlight though so perhaps I can find a spot in the bathroom? Not that I have much space there either but it will not be a very dry air in there anyway 🙂 🙂 Or perhaps I’ll place that orchid I was wondering about where to place just in case Sara the cat would get the idea to chew on it in the bathroom and the Croton by the entrance door where daylight can reach it? I think that might be a good idea.

This is a really muddy place that we have to pass to get to the island. Put your foot in the wrong place and You will sink down to Your knee in mud 🙂 🙂

Anyway, we walked out to the bog and the island I like there and today we followed it, on the less beautiful side, for as long as we could. Alma had behaved reasonable good until we came out to the island but was extra stressed when we started to walk. We made quite a lot of noise by walking on all the fallen and now dry branches and that when I hear something moving. We stopped and I saw in the corner of my eye something moving. It was wild hogs. At least one rather big boar and three smaller ones. Alma couldn’t see them thankfully so she stood quiet and tried to see what it was moving. The hogs walked in to the thicker forest on the island so we continues to walk our own way.

It is easy to walk here because of the absolute flat surface, the other side of the island is just the opposite and also very swampy 🙂
This tree looks like something that will wake up at night and start wandering around looking for prey 🙂

Behind those birches there’s a big but swampy meadow, I only walk there during droughts 🙂

Alma doesn’t like wild hogs so she was pretty happy when we arrived back home again but I have to say that if this had happened a year ago it would have been more troublesome to go back home at all 🙂 🙂 🙂 Well I think it is time for that last cup of tea for the day but nothing to eat, I made rice porridge again today and it is filling well and there’s no risk of getting hungry again today 🙂 By the way I also picked up the Quality Street tin box this morning, now I’ll place it in the pantry and never look at it before Christmas eve morning 🙂

It looks like there still is mist at the far back of the photo, odd because the fog/ mist had already vanished elsewhere.
and where’s the bridge over the creek?

Have a great day!

Our squirrels are really shy so this was a surprise to see today 🙂

Grey and dull.

The weather has been grey and dull and we’ve had misty rain most of the time. Also so dark that I’ve had to have lights on all day. We’ve been out in the forest but to be honest this day has sucked the energy out of us all so not even Alma was especially overjoyed to have any walks 🙂 🙂 🙂

I must admit that I will be happy when the elections in the US are over 🙂 🙂 Our different tv companies has shown bigger interest in this election that they’ve done to our own 🙂 🙂 Today for instance they showed when the Polling stations opened up all over the country, discussed everything and anything about the presidential candidates, pros and cons for us and our economy and to be honest a little too much enthusiastic over all. They’ve checked how we Swedes would vote if we were allowed and 80% would vote for Kamala (I think Obama would have gotten over 92% but that was before our fascists grew big), only the fascists would vote for the orange nazi. I’ll also be very happy when all the spam mail begging for money will end coming to my e-mail account 🙂 🙂 🙂 I’m up to 60 e-mails every day now.

We’ve been in the garden quite a lot today because it has been rather warm. There’s still two walnuts hanging in the tree and it seems they refuse to fall down, I have peeled all the walnuts that has fallen down. The misty rain forced us to go inside rather often, misty rain eats its way through any form of clothes so it really isn’t nice after a while. So instead I’ve baked two loafs of bread, not a total success but way better than the last time. The odd thing is that one actually can cut a couple of slices just after it has come out from the oven but try it a few seconds later and the bread just collapses 🙂 🙂 🙂

So since it was so dark and gloomy today and like always this time of year I felt a little Christmas spirit I made some rice porridge 🙂 And of course I used the Christmas porridge plate 🙂
It is basically round rice (even though any rice can be used, it just gets a slightly different texture). First boiled in some water for 15 minutes and after that let it simmer in milk in around 40 to 60 minutes.
I do have a piece of cinnamon in it while it boils but when it is done I sprinkle more over it all and today I also added some strawberry jam 🙂

No wolves yesterday either but a couple of Roe deer instead. Alma’s tail indicated that they might not be around any longer but there are plenty of other animals around so I hope our fox pass by soon. Back in the days when we had lots of moose here they quite often passed by even during day time, so there’s a minimal chance the camera might be able to get one of those too. I doubt that and Red deer or Fallow deer will come close enough though, they are still too shy to come close to our cottages.

It is time for that last cup of tea and most likely a sandwich or two. Both the dogs and the kitten will have a tiny piece each. I’m not surprised that the dogs like it but Sara the cat will go insane if she doesn’t get some too 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!

The bog.

It was a good thing it was this little badger the dogs fought in the garden last winter and not the big male, he would have broken all bones in my dogs.

I’m sorry I can’t show You a photo of a wolf today but as You can see the camera caught a badger instead. It is most likely the same badger Alma and Albin had two fights with in the garden, just slightly bigger 🙂 Last nights photos was less good, to be honest the camera had changed from photos to videos but that didn’t matter, we had frost during the night so the lens was covered in it 🙂 I could see something walking by and it did look like a canine of some sort but it was most likely the fox that also visit the garden at nights. No frost tonight so perhaps the camera will catch that canine again but as photos instead.

Out to the bog we went.

Our walk this morning wasn’t anything out of the ordinary and to be honest neither was yesterdays morning walk but we did go out to my favorite island in the bog. It has dried up so much now that it is possible to walk there now, so today You’ll see photos from that island and most of You have never seen that place before. I couldn’t see any signs of wolves being there but Alma was a bit stressed with her tail hanging so we only walked there for a short while and on the less beautiful side of the island (I write island because this is actually an old lake they’ve tried to empty totally a century ago but failed since the lake is a spring lake). I hope I can show You the rest soon, it all depends on rain and wolves 🙂 🙂

I went to the store in the village where I used to work and after that I visited my old work friends. It was fun to talk to them but I must admit I didn’t feel especially sad leaving 🙂 🙂 It didn’t feel like I was leaving a happy place to be honest. They do at least have free coffee though 🙂  We had frost in the morning here and even though it almost reached 10C (50F) the ground still stayed frozen all day long. Earlier they guessed that we now would go towards colder weather, now they say we’ll have warmer weather again 🙂 🙂 No sunshine for quite some time though but I can survive without that for a while 🙂

I think it is time for that last cup of tea for the day and perhaps some hard bread sandwiches with it. Tomorrow I’ll have to bake more bread, I failed some last time, too little flour I guess even though I actually put in more than I should. The bread instead of rising it sort of flouted out and became almost flat 🙂 🙂 🙂 The taste was good though and that’s more important 🙂

It isn’t easy to find the small bridge so one can pass over the creek if one doesn’t know where it is 🙂

Have a great day!

Bad but also sort of good news for me today.

No photos from today but some from Forentorp meadows where I was yesterday and perhaps other older ones.

So as You know I had the kidney stone a while ago and then two weeks later I had to get a new x-ray so that they could see if it was gone. Well it was gone but they instead found a one cm big hump on the top on one of my kidneys, so I have had a new x-ray with contrast fluid to see what it is, most likely it would be the beginning of a cyst and they don’t do anything about those since they do no harm. It’s actually really common for people over 50 to have cysts on their kidneys without ever knowing it.

I’m not sure how old these trees are but they haven’t cut the forest here for centuries, so my guess is that the Oaks and Beech trees are way older than 500 years.

So I was at the big hospital in Skövde today to hear about what it is, it is a tumor but still so small that they can’t take any tests from it so they can figure out exactly what kind of tumor it is. My doctor said though that I couldn’t get a better prognosis since they found it so early. They’ll do nothing about it for now, I guess they will have to remove the entire kidney because kidneys tends not to heal well and will continue to bleed for ages if they get a damage.

An old pilgrimage is passing through this area.

So I’ll get a new x-ray around next March- April so they can see if the tumor has grown. If it hasn’t we’ll do a new one in six months but if is has they’ll take a test from it to see what it is and if it is a bad one I’ll have to go through surgery and I guess the chemo or the radiation thing. So not the best news but not the worst either. The worst that my doctor think will happen to me is that I’ll lose a kidney, not too fun but as long as my kidneys work as good as they do there wouldn’t be any bigger problems for me.

This is an old Mill dating back to, I think it was, the thirteenth century. Belongs to the old Abbey ruins up on the mountain in Gudhem.

I realized that it most likely wouldn’t be a good thing when I got the new appointment till today because I also got a paper where I would write down all about my health, surgeries and other things 🙂 🙂 So the last weeks I’d already planned what to do with the dogs and kitten the week I would have to remove the kidney 🙂 🙂 🙂 Now I have at least six more moths to plan even better 🙂 🙂 🙂 I am not even the least worried right now, how could I when the doctor wasn’t especially worried either. I mean if I started to worry my stomach soon would give up totally and then I would feel that it was a waste of time giving up Gluten 🙂 🙂 🙂

So when I came home I spent most time of calling around to tell friends and relatives what is happening and try to calm them down if I noticed them being worried. This is actually the second time they’ve discovered me having cancer so early. The first time they removed a liver spot that had changed color but not from brown to black but from red to brown. They didn’t think it was something to worry about but removed it since it had changed color. The same evening the called me and said that it was something to worry about , it was malignant melanoma and already the next day I had to get in and have more flesh removed. I was really lucky that time because they caught it just in the beginning. It had moved around 2 mm in to my body but not more. I had to go on check ups for five years though.

Why not show You some foggy photos taken with an old analog camera called Agfa Ambi Silette. Must be from last winter I think.

It is time for that last cup of tea and a chocolate covered Hobnob 🙂

Have a great day!

The coldest night so far but since the sun rose and there weren’t any clouds (but morning mist) it soon became a really pleasant morning. We went out to the forest as soon as I could see the sun rising through my kitchen window, no risk of any surviving moose flies in the air when it was that cold.

Nova is much better again and the first one to demand food in the morning 🙂 well Sara screams as soon as she think I’m awake but that could be about anything really 🙂 🙂  Nova is too thin though, even though the vet says that she looks great since she’s so old. I think I’ll start giving her more treats, even directly in to her food, better that way since the two other won’t notice it that much if I do it that way 🙂

The world isn’t a happy place right now, war in Ukraine, war in the middle east and the risk of Trump becoming a president again feels too big. plus that we have gang wars here in Sweden so it’s times like this it feels really nice to live in a village at the outskirts of the world. Very little happens here any time of the year. The dogs and I are almost always alone on our walks in the forest or out on the bog, the only thing we really need to look out for are angry moose and wild hogs 🙂 Yes we have wolves but they are almost never seen, only tracks made when they have passed by and to be honest, one can never know how moose and hogs will behave if one meet them 🙂

That I also have the best neighbors one can get helps a lot as well 🙂 The beekeepers cottage is still empty and not a single person came when they had an open house for buyers. No one wants to buy a place for double what it is worth. I do hope however that it won’t be empty for too long, rodents love that and when they start invading a place things can go down hill pretty fast.  I won $ 9 US on the lottery yesterday but I’m afraid that won’t help me much 🙂 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!

Sara has sad eyes, even when she’s hunting Malkolm’s tail she look sad 🙂 The first time she chased Malkolm’s tail he looked horrified 🙂 🙂

Today is her 18th birthday :-)

18 and still going strong 🙂

So this little lady moved here around 16,5 years ago. An animal rescue organisation called me one day, not especially long after I had had to say goodbye to my “little” girl Erna (she was in the same size as Alma is but the smallest in the pack 🙂 🙂 ) They asked me if she could come to me because the previous older owner had been hit by cancer. The organisation knew me because they got all the cut flowers that still was pretty but too old to be sold and they used those flowers to decorate old pet graves where the owners perhaps no longer were with us, this was back in the days when I had a Garden center.

I took some photos on my way to work this morning.

I really didn’t feel like it, it was too early after old Erna but they sent me a photo and Nova looked just like old Erna but half the size so how could I say no 🙂 🙂 Nova’s first year consisted mostly of abuse and starvation and living in a dark cellar all the time. After they had rescued her she then went to the older couple who really built her up to an amazing dog but to be honest a completely brat 🙂 🙂 🙂 Just as it should be after a start like that. So it took a while but the big and older dogs soon taught her to behave 🙂 🙂 🙂

She had this idea that hares are animals that should be eradicated from the surface of this planet so, since my dogs back then always walked without a leash, if I missed a hare out in the fields but she didn’t she always ran after them in high speed. Hares are smart though so she never caught any and I never had to worry about her getting lost because she either came back to me or back to the cottage 🙂 🙂 🙂 One day, when I had to have her on leash she saw a hare and ran after it, she didn’t come far and almost broke my wrist. That was the only time I’ve ever scolded her in her life and I must admit that when I scold I’m not quiet 🙂 🙂 After that she stopped caring about hares and I have always trusted her after that.

She’s had a 5 cm (2 inches) long tumor removed that grew between her right ear and eye so the eye was saved but her ear had to be closed, chronic ear infections, one vet said her ears were built to be infected, she has no cruciate ligament in her left knee but a cheap orthosis and duct tape keeps it together, so good actually that the vet was amazed and said I don’t know how You do it but continue with what ever it is 🙂 🙂 and she also has cancer but a “kind” one that mostly behaves like a fatty lump. It does spread bout so slowly that she won’t have any problems with it for as long as she has left. Then again she doesn’t seem to slow down especially much so who knows how log she’ll stay after all 🙂 🙂

With age she has become really fuzzy with what she will eat, can’t blame her 🙂 So at the moment she only eats boiled chicken and rice but allows me to also put in some of the dog food the other ton eat as well, not too much though because then she’ll refuse to eat anything 🙂 🙂 🙂 She also always wait to start to eat her food until she sees the two other is almost finished with theirs, she knows they aren’t allowed to touch her food (I stay close though because both Malkolm and Alma wouldn’t hesitate to push her away and eat her food themselves). She also takes her time to eat it and the other two stays close drooling until she’s had enough 🙂 🙂 🙂

She has never been a cuddly dog so the few times she has lately I’ve had a hard time sleeping because I always fear that that’s her good bye 🙂 🙂 🙂  So today they’ve all had some grilled chicken and they will all also have some extra treats (she will of course get more than the others but it can’t be shown, my life is really tricky 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!

We were supposed to have lots of rain today and we certainly have had lots of it. A more constant rain in the early morning but more heavy showers for the rest of the day. We have also had lots of sunshine but being outside was a bit troublesome since one never could see when the showers arrived 🙂

If this tree had fallen in the wrong direction my neighbors cars would have been hit. It fell towards the dog yard but didn’t reach it from what I could see.

The crab apples in the forest are slowly turning red. These taste really nice but have a slightly bitter after taste.

We did manage to have a morning walk in the forest though, no hunters would willingly go out just to get caught in rain over and over again 🙂 Strong winds during the night and I woke up by a loud crack while the rian hit my cottage. I didn’t think much of it to be honest but when I noticed that a huge tree beside the dog yard had broken and half the tree now was lying on the ground I thought it was that I had heard. Turns out that I was wrong, the tree had broken the day before when the storm passed by, what I had heard was the lightning hit nearby. Turns out I had several lightning warnings on my phone that I hadn’t noticed 🙂

I couldn’t see any damages in the forest though. I did see lots of mosquitoes, they were all over us but it looks like the fly season has ended. More flies will come and those are Moose flies, nasty little monsters to be honest, almost impossible to kill and they do have a nasty bite even though they rarely do bite.  If we’re lucky last winter killed lots of the larvae plus it has been so wet that lots of the larvae who lives in the ground and pupae have drowned this year. We have had fewer ticks this year because of the weather so I do hope it’s the same with the moose flies.

I’ve done my chores today and we’ve also had our pancakes, this time I had my home made strawberry jam 🙂 There was almost nothing left of the cherry jam. After that we had a long nap, at least two hours. I did wake up every now and again because the back wasn’t happy when I tried to move 🙂 I haven’t made dinner for the entire week at work though, I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to eat so I just took what I had in the fridge and that will last for two days, better than nothing 🙂

It is time for a cup of coffee I think, normally I only drink tea but sometimes one feel that need of an extra kick from caffeine 🙂 I can’t say that the long nap helped to make me feel more energetic so I doubt some coffee will keep me up all night 🙂

Have a great day!

Finally Friday!

Finally Friday 🙂 I was so tired yesterday so I just didn’t have any energy to do anything else than to half sleep in my recliner. Today has been much cooler again and the day started with some rain and it felt so nice. The sun did break through just before I came home after work but it has still felt cool and nice.

The Deer buck hunting season has started and the hunters will be out there on and off for a while, after that it’ll calm again until the moose hunt starts. They had already went home when I came home so we could have a nice walk in the cool forest. A wind blew slightly and most flies kept their distance to us. I thought Nova had a less good day today but she was just grumpy for having to walk in the sunshine at the beginning of our walk.

So she dragged her feet but as soon as we entered the forest she walked pretty quickly 🙂 She can’t hear much and she hasn’t the best of eyesight now days but I didn’t think much of it when she started to walk behind us, so many things to smell at. Suddenly I couldn’t find her behind us, so we walked back quite a distance. She had walked straight in to a semi big fallen spruce and couldn’t find her way out again 🙂

It is time for a last cup of tea for the day and I’ll most likely have some ice cream too, I could of course have some Greek yogurt with some of my home made cherry jam, all these choices we have to make 🙂

Have a great day!

The rebellious stage has begun.

Mostly cloudy today but really nice. Just warm enough and no wind. The no wind did make the flies too happy but only while we were walking in the forest, here at home they mostly kept away. So I could walk around watering the plants that need extra attention without going crazy 🙂

Today I scolded Malkolm for the first time, three times actually 🙂 🙂 He has now gotten the idea to pull out my potted plants and then start to chew on them. He’s getting his real teeth now so I guess it itches something awful in his mouth right now. I caught him in action so I thought that it would stop after the first time but oh no, he tried again 🙂 He really look miserable after scolding him and refused to go inside after the first time, no such behavior the other times though, he almost looked proud instead 🙂 🙂 I think the time of rebellion has started 🙂 🙂

Otherwise I’ve mostly listened to the radio and the Olympics and I’ve also napped so I’ve only missed to nap twice during my vacation, always feel nice when I can keep a promise to myself to almost 100% 🙂 🙂 They warned about showers passing by but so far nothing has fallen here. They’re guessing that we will get rain tomorrow as well but the amount and when keeps changing all the time. I won’t mind if it will rain the entire day, sort of fitting since I’ll go back to work on Monday 🙂 🙂

Nova has had a bad day today. The walk was tough for her so I let her off the leash so that she could walk in her own pace. I haven’t noticed any signs of wolves in the area so I’ll do the same tomorrow.

My cold has come back, yay. I don’t have any fever but my throat is sour and my nose is runny. Summer colds are the best 🙂 🙂 They stay long and close as an old friend 🙂 🙂 So now I’ll have a cup of tea with lots of ginger in it and hope that will stop the cold from going worse.

These are the Guava seedlings, they haven’t grown much in the cold weather we’ve had but look really healthy.

Here are the Apricots, I have one more but I test planted it amongst the Siberian nepeta. It doesn’t look happy because the nepeta is too invasive.

My two peach seedlings. The one to the right was the first tree Malkolm decided to chew on 🙂

My strawberry plants are thriving now, I’ll get plenty of strawberries if the warm weather continues for a while.

Have a great day!

I’ve found two small squashes beneath the leafs, perfect size to have in the dinner.

He doesn’t look too guilty after chewing on my plants 🙂 🙂
