Category: Fog.

So this is the pasture the wild hogs now walk around in at night.

We did see the sun shine for a few minutes just as it was setting, otherwise the day has been rather depressing πŸ™‚ A meh fog in the morning, later on just grey and dull.

Β  Β Β

Today I’ve been a bit busy though. First I ordered and downloaded an antivirus program, the easiest thing I’ve ever done. I paid the bill, pressed the link and voila finished πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ The Macworld said it was the best and it wasn’t especially expensive either, I also got a discount for being a new customer and that didn’t hurt πŸ™‚ If all things computer was that easy! I never remember my passwords to anything so I rarely log out from anything but I need to get a new password now when I change computer, since I don’t remember them πŸ™‚ So I tried Facebook. I could just as well hit myself in the head with a hammer! I thought I would get a link via my mail but no not any more. I tried to change it several times but no such luck I’m afraid, now I have no idea if the old one still is there so I can come in to Fb on my old computer πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

The last snow for this time πŸ™‚

When the first wave of hate towards Fb had calmed down I finally found the old way but it sure wasn’t easy to find it πŸ™‚ What angered me the most was when I tried to change the password their new way it didn’t work so a new page turned up so that I could change the password, the only problem was that I had to log in to be able to do it πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Then I needed to do the same for my blog and it took four seconds to let me in again πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ To be honest I’m not sure I want to stay on Fb anyway but I want to have a chance to say bye if I do decide to log out totally. Now all I need to do is to slowly but steadily add my favourites so things can go back to normal again.

But I have done other things as well, like baking bread, well very flat French rolls πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ and to dinner I made a shrimp and vegetable pie, not bad at all πŸ™‚ I had a bit too much though so now I’m burping shrimps and Broccoli πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I think it is time for that last cup of tea for the day. I had too much too late yesterday so I’ll have this cup early so I don’t have to get up in the middle of night again πŸ™‚ The hunters will be here tomorrow morning again, they have noticed that the wild hogs now walk around in the pasture just outside my gate. Wild hogs are good for nature but not gardens πŸ™‚

My hardy Rosemary, survived -18 C (-0,4 F) beside it some Oregano but they survive everything πŸ™‚
The Himalayan Cypress also looks good but the most dangerous time for plants here is when spring starts and those late frosts suddenly kill them.

Have a great day!

Β

A warm day, well a warm winter day and most of the snow is almost gone now. I found some in the forest and places where the sun can’t reach yet but mostly what’s left is ice. We had a meh fog all morning, wasn’t useful for anything to be honest and to be even more honest that fog was mostly misty rain so small water droplets covered the glasses after a short while.Β

Β  Β

We walked out to the bog and today I praised both Alma and Malkolm so many times and giving them treats that I think giving them dinner later in the day was just like over feeding them both πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I doubt this behaviour won’t last for long but I’m happy for the days I get πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚Β

Β  Β

I have finally figured out how to reduce the size on my photos in the new computer, only took around half an hour and only twenty more to figure out how to save the changes as well, one can say what one wants about PC programs but they are actually quite obvious when it comes to those things. When I do resize the photo I can see how many KB or MB they have become after the change but if I go in to check it in the album the size is right but it still says the original MB the photo was?? Well I’ll figure it out in time πŸ™‚ :-)It is fun to figure it out but it is mostly so annoying πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚Β

Β  Β

Besides that I’ve had a nice calm day. My neighbors car didn’t pass the annual vehicle inspectionΒ  so I picked up her in a village called Floby some distance away so she could come home again, there aren’t any communication that comes even close to here unless one wants to have a day trip looking at the environment πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Wouldn’t have worked today though because it went almost dark before we arrived to the village πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I love living here but when our cars misbehave it can be a bit of a struggle to be honest.

Β  Β

My antenna cable has arrived at the grocery store in Gudhem today, so I’ll go there to pick it up tomorrow morning. I’ll check if I need anything since I’m there, otherwise I had planned to go on either Sunday morning or Monday. I normally just shave off the hair on my head three times a year and since it is as warm as it is and it’ll stay like this, they’re guessing, for a week I did it yesterday. Now I don’t need to think of doing that for three to four months πŸ™‚ I started to do that when I powder painted at my old job, as soon as the hair becomes longer tan two to three centimeters (slightly less or slightly more than inch)the powder sort of became like concrete and wouldn’t move no matter how thorough one wash the hair. Having that paint there gave all kinds of problems and dandruff is the least of them πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚Β

Β  Β

It is time to have that last cup of tea for the day, I’m not really hungry but sort of wants something, I think I’ll have a banana πŸ™‚

Have a great day!Β

I put up the wildlife camera for two weeks when we had the snowstorm and the only thing the camera got was this hare, it had found the deer food I had tossed out πŸ™‚

Β

Jackdaws build their nests in chimneys so we always need to have netting over the opening.

Fog again today but it varied in thickness, not so thick in the morning but better later in the day. Still it was good enough to have walks in πŸ™‚ The horse guy was cutting down trees somewhere along the creek, mostly thinning out smaller ones by the sound of it, so I was a bit worried that Alma would go insane with all that noise but she stayed far more calm than I ever thought I could hope for.

Β  Β  Β

So to stay away as much as possible from the noise we walked along the creek up streams. WE didn’t pass the creek where we usually do but continued towards the bog. If we would have continued to the little lake in the bog it would have been better to walk on the other side of the creek but I had the wrong boots on, one can continue on the side we were walking on too but it’s a bit more tricky with swampy areas and small spruces.

Β  Β  Β

Lots of animals must have been there just until the horse guy started because both Alma and Malkolm were very excited following tracks everywhere. Well mostly Malkolm followed them and Alma joined him when he stopped to examine some tracks some extra πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ She really can’t concentrate on anything for longer than 15 seconds, I’ve actually timed her πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

The horse guy and the horses had a break when we passed that place again so I could get a nice photo of them. I think it is time for that last cup of tea for the day and then fall asleep in front of the tv πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

Have a great day!

Β  Β  Β  Β

We had sunshine most parts of the day yesterday and were supposed to have some today as well so of course we hadn’t πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Instead we had my second favorite weather today, fog and at times really thick fog. Tomorrow we’re supposed to have fog all day so perhaps the sun will show itself then instead πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

But we didn’t just have fog, tiny, tiny snow flakes fell all day as well but since they were so small and few it isn’t noticeable anywhere on the ground, I can accept snowfall like that πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ It was a nice morning walk despite it being below 0C (32 F) because there was no wind what so ever blowing. Also both Malkolm and Alma behaved pretty well after the first couple of hundred meters (much the same in yards) of the walk.

Β  Β  Β

I still, to my own surprise, have christmas feeling. I normally have them late October to some time in the middle of November and then they die out πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I guess it can be because I don’t have to go out to scrape the windows of the car, feel well rested and actually just because the snow is falling even though it can’t be seen πŸ™‚ I haven’t felt this well rested in years to be honest but I still can’t promote unemployment unless one is rather wealthy πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I’m not so I better keep on looking for a job or win the lottery πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

They have removed the blockage in the creek so now the water level is much lower again.

Β

It is time for a cup of tea but nothing more, the dogs and I have just eaten some pancakes and that’s enough for me but they and the cat will have their dinners just after this, even though they all had pancakes as well πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

Have a great day!

Today we were lucky with the weather.

We had thick fog again this morning but I could see the sun rise behind it so we hurried out before the fog would evaporate. I would have loved to go out to the bog and the island but it was noticeable that the sun would remove the fog just as I would reach it. So we walked down to the creek instead.

Β  Β  Β

When one read about our beings it often says that this is the season they’re the most active because it’s so dark all the time. Then one read about them in all other season and those are also when they are most active, usually because we have all our holidays from christmas till midsummer πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Then again we have so much daylight here during summer that they wouldn’t be able to do much at all if they were sensitive to daylight πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I think that this morning would have been great to see any beings in the fog out there πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

In the northern parts of Sweden, by the high mountains and deep forests they have a being called Vittra, a close relative to our vΓ€tte (vaettir or wight in English) Both live underground and can look much like a human but being considerable smaller. While the vΓ€tte normally can live rather close to humans the Vittra prefers to stay away from us, plus they have their own livestock, like cows or goats. They don’t dislike us but they tend to stay away from us which I guess means they don’t like us πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Normally they also almost always wear beautiful folk costumes. Back in the days humans let the livestock walk up on the mountains during summer and that’s when the young girls that lived with the animals up there often could meet the Vittra or their livestock. If the girls were smart and quick in thought they would throw an iron knife over the animal they had met and when they had done that they could keep the animal.

Β  Β  Β

It wouldn’t take long before the original owner would visit them though to set the rules. Not milk the animal too much and any offspring from it would go to the Vittra. Their animals looked just like ours but were much smaller and gave lots more milk. It is said that their cows were purely white and wore a silver bell with a wonderful sound. Usually there were never any problems with the Vittra but there were a few things to look out for. They could steal our livestock or our children but they usually returned them back after three days πŸ™‚ Another thing is that they behaves much like our badgers when it comes to where they walk. If one would be unlucky enough to build a home on one of those paths one had problems. One wouldn’t be able to sleep at all during nights ever. So the only solution to that problem was to move the house or sleep with all doors open so that the Vittra could pass at nights πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Vittror never came alone though, the entire family would have to pass and also their livestock πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ (one Vittra several Vittror)

Β  Β  Β

This photo is a bit blurry but I think it came out pretty good anyway.

There were also Vittror that reigned over lakes and if one tossed in a silver coin (or I guess anything silver) before going fishing in those lakes one would catch lots of fish, unless it was one of their pikes, no matter what one tried they were impossible to get out of the water πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day. The dogs and I had our dinner not long ago so I’ll just have that cup of tea.

Have a great day!

Malkolm and Alma do like Sara the cat but she’s never calm so they prefer to avoid her when they want to sleep (if they can πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ ). Old Nova made Sara calm in some way I don’t know so I think she’s missed by the kitten. Sometimes however they make an exception and let her stay close πŸ™‚

I missed a foggy morning walk.

The only foggy photo I took today πŸ™‚

We had thick fog this morning, perfect for a morning walk but I was going to visit my friend in the garden center and it takes some time to get there so I had to skip the morning walk. We had our “morning” walk when I came home just after noon instead.

Β  Β  Β

I do miss the days when I had my own garden center but it was a lot of work for very little money. Unless it’s a holiday of some kind or beginning of spring very little happens, very fun though but it is nice to have dinner every now and again πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Quite often if not always I get some plants/flowers with me home, it is when the plants are too old to sell πŸ™‚ So today I came home with two Butterfly orchids that had seen better days and a huge Croton. Crotons really hate dry air so they usually don’t last for long in modern homes, it usually don’t take long time before the first pests arrive, like spider mites and even if one can be successful in removing them the first time they don’t take long to come back.

Β  Β  Β

Too dry air in a 100 year old cottage is rarely a problem as long as the plant doesn’t stand too close to a radiator but it is so big that I have no idea where to place it πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Don’t need much sunlight though so perhaps I can find a spot in the bathroom? Not that I have much space there either but it will not be a very dry air in there anyway πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Or perhaps I’ll place that orchid I was wondering about where to place just in case Sara the cat would get the idea to chew on it in the bathroom and the Croton by the entrance door where daylight can reach it? I think that might be a good idea.

This is a really muddy place that we have to pass to get to the island. Put your foot in the wrong place and You will sink down to Your knee in mud πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Β  Β

Anyway, we walked out to the bog and the island I like there and today we followed it, on the less beautiful side, for as long as we could. Alma had behaved reasonable good until we came out to the island but was extra stressed when we started to walk. We made quite a lot of noise by walking on all the fallen and now dry branches and that when I hear something moving. We stopped and I saw in the corner of my eye something moving. It was wild hogs. At least one rather big boar and three smaller ones. Alma couldn’t see them thankfully so she stood quiet and tried to see what it was moving. The hogs walked in to the thicker forest on the island so we continues to walk our own way.

It is easy to walk here because of the absolute flat surface, the other side of the island is just the opposite and also very swampy πŸ™‚

This tree looks like something that will wake up at night and start wandering around looking for prey πŸ™‚

Behind those birches there’s a big but swampy meadow, I only walk there during droughts πŸ™‚

Alma doesn’t like wild hogs so she was pretty happy when we arrived back home again but I have to say that if this had happened a year ago it would have been more troublesome to go back home at all πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Well I think it is time for that last cup of tea for the day but nothing to eat, I made rice porridge again today and it is filling well and there’s no risk of getting hungry again today πŸ™‚ By the way I also picked up the Quality Street tin box this morning, now I’ll place it in the pantry and never look at it before Christmas eve morning πŸ™‚

Β

It looks like there still is mist at the far back of the photo, odd because the fog/ mist had already vanished elsewhere.

and where’s the bridge over the creek?

Have a great day!

Our squirrels are really shy so this was a surprise to see today πŸ™‚

A sort of meh fog today.

Much the same weather today but the fog was sort of meh. It was too thin to really make a big difference and instead just made the world look a bit more sad πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

The hunters were supposed to be in the forest today but I don’t think anyone actually came. Anyway we walked in to the village instead and Alma behaved well enough until we had walked slightly more than half the way. That’s when a car passed around 200 meters (much the same in yards) ahead of us, I guess someone had to go to work. After that she pulled the leash a lot and whined all the way home. I really can’t understand why, she really doesn’t care about cars passing by on the gravel road here at home.

Β

This is the tree with the pastel colored leafs and it looks like an old tree with a thick trunk.

But it’s actually several trees, there are some trunks one only can see from a distance.

If it wasn’t puling the leash she has this nasty habit on walking behind me sliding towards my left side (she should walk on the right) and if she see something then she suddenly can start running forward like crazy. That is how she has ripped my right shoulder a couple of times. It hurts a lot and I had to stay at home for quite some time both times but thankfully I never needed surgery.Β  I have no problems of letting her do that if she walks in front of me because then I see what’s about to happen but she only does that when Malkolm have found something interesting to sniff on πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

I’ve had rice porridge for dinner today and Malkolm and Alma both had a tiny portion as well. I don’t think it’s especially good for their stomachs since there’s so much milk in it but a tiny portion won’t do much damage to their stomachs. Sara the cat’s stomach is a bit wobbly today so she had to be without.

Β  Β  Β

I need to buy a couple of box traps to place in the cool cellar. There’s a mouse/ mice there that tends to bit of thin stalks from the plants I have there during winter and now I’m getting annoyed. it/ they never eat anything just chops them off and leaves!!! I would like to try and find weasel or ferret poop and put some around my cottage and perhaps indoors where they can come in. There’s nothing more frightening for rodents than weasels or ferrets. I have no idea where to find some, I doubt that Ferrets are sold in pet stores even though it isn’t a specially rare pet. I really don’t want a ferret myself though even it it would help keep mice away πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Β

I’m not a fan of horses to be honest but I really like these two. No matter how much my dogs (Alma that is) would sound they still don’t care πŸ™‚

Then again Sara isn’t a hundred percentΒ  when it comes to the litter box, she does however always pee on paper I have on the floor, I could perhaps use that in the cellar? What do You think? I’ll try it next time I find a wet paper on the floor πŸ™‚ It is time for the last cup of tea for the day but I won’t have anything with it, the rice porridge still make me feel full πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

Foggy morning.

As I wrote yesterday we had really thick fog last evening so I expected I wouldn’t see much when the dogs and I was outside just before going to bed. We had a clear sky and absolutely no fog what so ever, so I must admit I was a bit disappointed.

Β  Β  Β

The first thing I did after I had woken up was to see what it looked like out there and the fog had returned πŸ™‚ plus it was below 0C (32F) so it felt a bit nasty chilly to be honest πŸ™‚ We went out to the bog and it was absolutely quiet and no wind. These last days I’ve heard spring songs from birds, the only thing I heard today was a couple of Ravens when they passed above us.

Β  Β  Β

I went to the supermarket after our walk, I really didn’t need much but I needed to post a letter. A couple of days ago I was offered to see if I had “invisible” bleeding in my intestines so they could catch and cancer in my intestines. I’m not sure if this is because of my kidney, they have started doing tests for all kinds of things when we come to a certain age, free of charge of course. It could just be a coincident and of course I did what they asked for. Just as well check the entire system when I can πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

Anyway, I went to the super market and was just going to buy some milk and perhaps something to have on my sandwiches. So I came home with a small kitchen assistant, they are already displaying everything christmas there now and I guess this is seen as a christmas present. It was really cheap and online it would have cost almost twice πŸ™‚ So I’ve already used it today to bake a loaf of bread that now is in the oven. This was my christmas present to myself this year πŸ™‚ I can’t remember the brand right now but the reviews are good, I really should check something like that before buying anything πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

Besides that nothing much has happened, the fog stayed until I came back home after the supermarket and after that it has just been grey and dull. I don’t mind really, I didn’t have anything planned and we have been outside in the garden every now and again.

Β  Β  Β

They have made an update on Windows Photo program and it annoys me so much. Windows wants me to upload every photo to the one drive app up in the clouds πŸ™‚ I refuse that so then they make it harder with the downloading. It creates a folder by itself and put all photos in that, the problem is that it’s impossible to find again!!! So I need to move the photos from that folder to one I’ve made to be able to find them again πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Also anything from my wildlife camera doesn’t show up when I try to download it to the blog?!!! I now must download it to YouTube and then download it here. Nothing exciting so far, just a couple of Roe deer passing by.

Β  Β  Β

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and a slice or two from the new bread πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

I woke up early today and since it was dark outside I couldn’t see how foggy it was, it was still quite foggy when the light finally returned. I had planned on walking in the village today but then I heard the dogs barking everywhere so I changed my mind, I really didn’t want Alma to stress up and start screaming, I just didn’t have that energy today πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

The hunters were out in the forest though so we didn’t have our morning walk until after noon. One hunter was still there though because his Beagle hadn’t returned. I had heard a dog bark twice down by the creek so he thought it must be his dog and drove down there. The problem was he still couldn’t find him. The dog still hadn’t returned when we came back again so I prepared myself to go out with Malkolm who loves to follow tracks and loves all dogs as well just in case they hadn’t found the dog before it started to get dark again. Luckily they did find him just before darkness would arrive.

Β  Β  Β

I don’t like it when they have dogs running around by themselves now when we have wolves in the area even though I haven’t seen any signs of them being here in a long time but one never knows. Everything went well though πŸ™‚ So instead of going out to try and find a dog I baked two loafs of bread, it would perhaps been better to let them stay in the oven for five minutes longer but the taste is really nice πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β  Β

I think it is time for that last cup of tea for the day and perhaps one more sandwich. When I’ve bought a cheap, low quality tea and I did that on purpose this time, I like to put in different spices in it. Today I feel like something christmassy so in the tea there will be sliced ginger, cardamom seeds, some cloves and a piece of cinnamon πŸ™‚

I found a Marigold in bloom in my garden today.

My Holly-leaved barberry has buds, I don’t think it is supposed to.

And the Pawpaws are still green.

Have a great day!

We had some fog in the morning, according to my camera this was taken 8:04 am.

Yesterday I prepared myself for having to say goodbye to Nova, she had huge problems walking up the few stairs to the entrance door in the evening and she hesitated to try and get up to the bedroom so I had to help her, she also had problems with her balance in her back legs. This morning she didn’t want to get up from her bed at all so guess if I was surprised when she suddenly came down skipped around and had no problems what so ever with any stairs πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

I’ve noticed that every time she has been in the dog yard she’s always worse the rest of the day and I’m pretty sure that’s because she refuses to stay in the comfortable dog house and instead has to wriggle her way in to the garage. So from now on if I’m only going to the store or not be away for a whole day she’ll stay in the cottage. It can’t be a good thing to wriggle around when one is that old and she already has problems with her legs πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

So she had no problems what so ever on our morning walk, sometimes she walked behind us and sometimes ahead of us πŸ™‚ Alma however took a step or two back and was quite a pain in the a..e almost the entire way πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I still think she has behaved a lot better on our walks lately so I’ll see this as a temporary setback. It is much more noisy in the forest now when almost all leafs have fallen off, leafs are terrific sound dampeners during summers. Today someone was working with a wheel loader somewhere and that winded her up a bit.

The beavers must be back again, the water level is so high now but after a tube where the water flows beneath the gravel road it’s very low instead.

Β  Β

We haven’t had the nicest of weather today, still no wind and no rain but really grey and dull. It made me sleepy so some time during the day I fell asleep in the recliner with a kitten by my side and I have no idea for how long I slept πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I think it was for too long though because I’m still tired πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I really can’t complain about the weather to be honest, we’ve had unusually much sunshine and it has been unusually warm as well but now they say it’ll turn towards colder again, I’m not looking forward to it but as long as it doesn’t snow I’ll just keep on smiling πŸ™‚

This side has a high water level but

it’s really low on the other side of the gravel road.

Β

Have a great day!

Β  Β  Β

They moved the cattle.

You know that when it looks like this on the ground just after the sun has disappeared that it most likely will be misty the next morning.

Morning mist, then sunshine quickly vaporize it for thick fog to roll in and stay for quite some time just to be replaced by warmish weather and lots of sunshine. I was surprised when the thick fog came because the air had become rather warm by then. It did roll in from the bog though so I guess it must have been cold out there. I liked it though and we did have plenty of time in the garden when the sun finally won that battle.

Β  Β  Β

WE walked in the village this morning and for once Alma seemed pretty calm, yes she did whine and shout some in the beginning but then seemed to get bored doing it πŸ™‚ Then suddenly all the cattle started to bellow and really loudly plus I heard what I thought was a car honking the horn and then a few more but could not figure out what was happening. Turns out it wasn’t cars but four wheelers and they were moving the cattle from the big pasture to their winter pasture. We met them just as they were going from the big one over our gravel road to the winter one.

Β  Β  Β

I really can’t be angry that Alma started with all her sounds even louder and I can’t be angry that she had problems calming down after they had passed either but that dog can be really loud πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ So I think that I from now on can have walks in the big pasture from now on. It’s actually several pastures combined to one big, so they can make it bigger or smaller depending on what they need to do. It’s hard to believe but our walks can be as long as 10 km (6,2 miles) and I still would be able to see the village the entire time, well the few homes there is here anyway.

Β  Β  Β

If I can figure out if they moved the entire heard we might have a walk there already tomorrow, would be great because then we wouldn’t have to pass all the dogs being outside barking when we pass them and then Alma would be much calmer, at least as long no lorries pass on the big road beside the pasture. Big road is a bit much to call it but they do drive lorries there quite often. The drivers use it as a short cut to towns and cities further south and I can tell You that it isn’t fun to meet a timber lorry in high speed on that winding road because they almost always use a big part of the meeting lane as well when the road turns.

Β  Β  Β

Two dogs are sleeping in my bedroom, one in the basket, I can’t see who because it’s dark in there now but my guess is that it is Alma and Malkolm is in the bed, probably with Sara the cat. Alma isn’t too happy about the cat since she keeps her awake most f the night πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Malkolm just ignores here and then the cat walks over to Nova to sleep beside her for the rest of the night πŸ™‚ Nova is too old to be bothered by anything now days πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

I think it is time for a last cup of tea for the day. I bought a jar of pickled cucumbers yesterday and I do like that but I’m not hungry but still want some cucumber so I think I’ll have a hard bread sandwich so I don’t eat it straight out of the jar πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

Have a great day!

Β  Β  Β

My second favorite weather.

Well none of us slept especially well last night because a certain kitten decided it was fun to terrorize the dogs πŸ™‚ every now and again she also decided to go close to my head and start to sniff all over my face πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ She’s a little monster that cat πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

So none of us was especially eager to go out for our walk to be honest πŸ™‚ Then I removed the curtains from the window and noticed that we had wonderful fog and I changed my mind, one never knows for how long it lasts. I didn’t have to worry about it going away though, it lasted for very long after we had come back home. Sometimes it was so thick that the camera couldn’t focus on anything πŸ™‚

Β  Β  Β

I really like to walk around on the bog when we can but this year it has rained so much that it has been more or less impossible to and when it is this foggy it would be down right stupid to do so because one can easily get lost even on a sunny day. But we did walk to the bog staying on dry land on my favorite peninsula instead. Alma, who behaved really well for being her today, and Malkolm stared out over the bog. They could both hear and smell what was out there but I could only guess and of course my mind went towards beings and folklore πŸ™‚

They’ve changed the weather predictions for the rest of this week from grey, dull and rainy to sunny, dry and almost warm, up to almost 15C (59F) on Friday. You all know by now that that can change several times every day and when Friday finally arrives it might snow instead πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I don’t think the risk of snow is especially big even though it has already snowed way up north and since they up there seems to like winter they’ve saved snow from last year so they have already started to cross country skiing. Not my cup of tea but I’m not judging peoples strange behaviours πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I think it is time for a pot of tea and perhaps a cookie or two. I might get visitors later this week so I’ve even bought instant coffee so perhaps I’ll have a cup of coffee instead? I’ve only used my coffee maker for tea so if one then suddenly makes coffee in itΒ  it will give a coffee with a side taste of Earl Grey tea πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Have a great day!
