Category: Cloudy.

I think this must be one of our most beautiful beetle but it wasn’t until I reduced the size of this photo that I noticed there actually were two beetles.

Yesterday after I had come home from work and the walk with the dogs I started baking a bread, I sat down in the recliner and woke up by the timer alarming that it was time to put the bread in the oven. I was so confused when the alarm started that I had no idea where I were, if it meant I was going to work and why in that case did the sun shine so bright πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ After that the entire evening was sort of strange πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ The bread was really good though πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Today has been rather nice, mostly cloudy but with some sunshine every now and again and even a few drops of rain have been falling now in the afternoon. Pollen is hitting me hard now but I’ve still mostly been outside. I had to mow the lawn, well have to isn’t right because no one would care since no one can see it through my hedge anyway but the longer the grass is the more ticks will living here. I do like that wildlife likes my garden but I don’t like the ticks.

After that I dug up the last chunk of Kankakee mallows and replanted them in pots until I know where to place them. I already have three of them in the ground but now I have nine bigger or small plants in pots waiting to get a space somewhere. I know that it is endangered since it only grows on an island in the wild and it has struggled to survive for years, so if they ever need some help to save it I have plenty of plants (and perhaps seeds) to share πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

A few of the Kankakee mallows.

I also replanted some of the seedlings I had in the kitchen and also then last of the trees I had in the cool cellar during winter. Two of the four giant Sequoias have survived winter and is now growing again despite the fact that mice tried to eat them during winter. Now I have to find out what kind of soil they like so I can fix that and repot them as well. They will not spend next winter in the cool clear, that’s for sure so I better think about how I can have them outdoors instead. The Pawpaw trees and slowly getting new leafs but it looks like the Persimmon has lost all of the twigs and branches this winter but the stem is good so lets hope it will grow new ones.

It is time to get something to eat, first the dogs and the monster kitten and after that me. Have no idea though what I’ll make to myself but if I can’t figure out something I can always have corn flakes again πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

Biting cold today.

The cat refused to move but both Alma and Malkolm behaved really well when we passed it πŸ™‚

It could have been a nice day if it wasn’t for the cold winds from north. They are biting their way in to the core of the body no matter how well dressed we are. We’ve had some sunshine but the wind destroyed that nice feeling as well. We’ll have frost during the night and I can only hope it won’t be too bad but I’ll probably have to scrape ice from the car before going to work tomorrow.

A second crabapple tree is in bloom now so perhaps the one in the forest will have a chance to give fruit anyway but then again we’ll have frost tonight.

Strawberries flower in the forest but as You can see the flower is black in the middle, that means it’s destroyed by frost and won’t give any berry.

It wasn’t that bad in the morning though so we had a nice morning walk in the forest and out to the bog. Both Alma and Malkolm behaved really well when the new neighbours cat refused to move from the road when we came πŸ™‚ I am however very glad they didn’t see the hare in the forest because that would have made Alma go nuts πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I’ve done very little today, after the morning walk I did the laundry and the slow cooker took care of the dinner next week and that’s it. WE even had a nap in the sofa but I still feel rather tired to be honest, despite lots of coffee πŸ™‚ Its pollen season and no amount of coffee can remove that tiredness πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I also had to turn on the radiators because even though we did get rain last night it wasn’t much but it did make the humidity go sky high and the cold arctic winds just made it more cold. Thankfully it will turn towards warmer days again from tomorrow, night might be chilly though.

I think I’ll have that last cup of tea for the day after this and perhaps a sandwich too or I’ll skip the tea and have hot chocolate instead, it’s that kind of day today.

Have a great day!

Cold when cloudy.

We had frost again last night but just barely and nothing seems to have been damaged this time. The morning walk was really pleasant, especially since Alma had another good day. We could even pass the new neighbours without her going crazy πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

We had pancakes today and I did the dinner for next week at the same time but in the slow cooker. I really wanted fried potatoes this time so I had already boiled some in the early morning, I know I could have done them raw in the oven but sort of wanted some old time fried potatoes, no one seems to do that any longer. Every time I do I can see my Mormon (mothers mother) in her kitchen frying potatoes and what ever leftovers she had in the fridge πŸ™‚

I’ve continued the war against the stinging nettles but they seem to pop up everywhere, this time I didn’t get stung by them though πŸ™‚ The seed sown peach tree looked rather fine down in the cool cellar but died slowly now when spring arrived. It did get the leaf curl disease at the end of summer last year so I’m guessing that it killed the little tree. I had already planted it but dug it up and now one of the seed sown apricots stand there instead I’ve also planted a seed sown quince tree ( Cydonia oblonga) at the best spot, climatewise that is, just in front of the old patio.

I even managed to fall asleep in front of the tv for a while, clouds covered the sky and when the suns heat didn’t reach us it wasn’t as pleasant outside any more, so I took a break and fell asleep during that time. Now the sun reaches us again so I almost feel guilty by sitting indoors πŸ™‚ It is a short work week again, I really started to work at that factory at the right time πŸ™‚ Unfortunately the holiday is on Thursday so I do need to work on Friday again but then again I’ve always liked it when I have a day off in the middle of week, it sort of feels like having two short work weeks during that one week πŸ™‚

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and after that perhaps have a go at those nettles again πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

It has been pouring down.

The Christmas cactus liked to be placed outside again πŸ™‚

Well the rain that didn’t fall during easter did fall yesterday evening, all night and well in to this day πŸ™‚ We need it so I will for once not complain about it. I did forget to check how much it filled up the water barrels though, I want them full before summer starts properly.

I write properly because the meteorological summer has actually arrived here already, that means that the temperature never falls below 0C (32F) five days in a row. They showed a map on tv and it is slowly getting closer to this village. Won’t happen this week though because there’s a risk for night frost during the weekend the weather apps say. Days will be warm though.

I still like to go to work so I think I like this place I’m working at πŸ™‚ It’s hard to think but even though FalkΓΆping is a rather small town the traffic is horrible πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ It goes faster to take a detour when driving home than to go the most logical way. Also there don’t like it when one follows the traffic rules πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ They all want to go home so don’t You dare to follow those because that takes so much longer πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

We still have a few Elm trees in the forest but one is now dying so I guess the other will follow soon.

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and then watch some tv, I’ll take the sofa instead of the recliner because then the dogs can join me πŸ™‚ This change from being at home all day to now go to work is worse for them than it is for me so they need that extra time staying close πŸ™‚

I have a Korean spruce where the top once died and it has taken lots of years for the tree to chose another branch as a new top. Now it looks like a n odd chair πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
Ninebark.
Elder leafs.
Lungwort spreads happily here and they don’t seem to care about me mowing them down all summer long πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

She darted in when I opened the door :-)

Roots from stinging nettles.

No rain and slightly warmer today so we’ve spent a lot of time in the garden the dogs and I. The monster kitten has mostly stayed indoors or went out when we’ve gone inside again :-)Yesterday evening she refused to go indoors when the rest of us were on our way to bed, first time alone during night is a big step for a cat. However I had been drinking way too much tea so I had to go up at minding and she darted indoors as soon as I opened the door for the dogs πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I have mostly continued the war against the stinging nettles and cleavers and today I realised that there’s too much to rip up without having anywhere to place all roots. They need to dry up properly before one really can. place them in a compost, a tiny bit survives and new plants will start to grow. I then remembered that I have a an old big water barrel with just a tiny hole at the bottom so why not let all roots die away inside it? If it rains the water will fill up slightly but then drop away from the little hole, either the nettles root or with no rain they’ll dry up. In the end I’ll have good soil to use at the end of summer.

Nothing much else has happened here today, the slow cooker made my dinner and I did the little laundry I had yesterday. I did go to the supermarket early in the morning though because I didn’t have much wet Catford left. The monster doesn’t like the other food I bought so now at least she’s having something to eat for a couple of days πŸ™‚ I also brought up the last two plants I had in the cool cellar, the Christmas cactus and the easter cactus. They are now hanging outside my entrance door until I can hang them in my big apple tree, nights are still chilly so the closeness to the cottage will keep them warm enough.

There were quite some drama in the cow pasture outside my cottage when we arrived back home today. Two pair of geese were arguing about the same grass πŸ™‚

By the way! Do You remember that I wrote that I would bring in apple twigs before Christmas so that they would start flowering at Christmas? I did bring some in and absolutely nothing happened πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ They did drink water but nothing happened and after a while I forgot about them down in the cellar πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Thankfully there still was some water but I filled it up and now I finally see some green and even flower buds πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ To bad they didn’t start growing last week because then they would have worked for easter instead πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

All citrus trees, big and small, are now standing outside. Even though it is a bit chilly they still feel better outside.
After I trimmed some trees Primroses are now popping up here and there again πŸ™‚
The Himalayan Cedar looks a bit sad to be honest but
Look here, new needles are showing πŸ™‚

I’ll skip that last cup of tea for the day so I know I’ll fall asleep tonight, I’m still getting used to get up in time to get to work πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

Finally the apple twigs I brought in early December shows signs of life πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Sort of meh weather.

The new neighbour has decorated the bush with coloured feathers. Most people just brings in a lot of twigs, put them in vases or urns and decorate them there. Not only feathers are used though, could be plastic or papier mache eggs, tiny yellow chickens or flying witches πŸ™‚

I don’t mind the little rain we’ve got but it is a bit chilly to be honest. That and a high humidity forces me to turn on the radiators again. Not a much but enough to keep that humidity outside. We haven’t been close to how much rain they predicted, the ground is still bone dry if on scratch the surface.

It seems like nature is a bit out of sync this spring. The vegetation started to flower long before the first Bumblebees started to fly and now when we don’t have any honey bees around very few pollinators visit my garden. Honeybees can be both a blessing and a curse for nature. If there are too many they can actually disturb the wild bees so they don’t get enough nectar to managing to survive the next winter. We used to have lots of wild bees here before the honey bees arrived so it’ll be interesting to see if we have fewer wild bees this spring. Today is so chilly that I haven’t seen or heard a single bee at all.

Badgers makes these shallow holes to get to worms and other juicy larvae.

I’ve now brought up all citrus trees as well from the cool cellar and some were replanted but I had to stop doing that because I suddenly went out of soil again πŸ™‚ I hope that cloudy weather, despite northern and cold winds will keep the frost away. Β don’t think it would harm the bigger citrus trees because the cool cellar is quite often pretty cold, 0-1C (32-33,8F) isn’t that unusual down there and that’s why the cellar also works pretty great to be a root cellar and even a huge fridge during winter πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ All that’s left are a Christmas cactus, easter cactus and a few things I think have died πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

It is time for a pot of tea and perhaps a nap after that, I’m really tired so either I have a cold going on or the Birch pollen season has started πŸ™‚

Not long before the Marsh-marigold opens up in the root zone.
Red currants have buds now.

The Sloe is in full bloom as well. You really don’t wants this in Your garden πŸ™‚
The Juneberry will soon be completely white. Unfortunately they don’t like warm sunny days if the nights are cool and damp. That’s how it is here quite often and then they get attacked of mildew and then the berries are inedible and the entire bush looks sad. I’m afraid I’ll have to remove it and plants something else there, too bad because it is a favourite of mine.

Have a great day!

Last warm and nice day fora while.

My cottage is the one to the right.

Even though it has been cloudy almost all day, with an exception for the afternoon, install has been a rather nice day. 15C (59F). Not especially windy either but then again I rarely notice the wind here in the hollow where I live.

Alma behaved really well while we were walking and Malkolm didn’t pull the leash especially hard either. Birds were singing everywhere and we had some geese visiting us in the fields close to the forest.I wore my anorak but that was a bit too much, the only reason I did wear it was because I had no where to place the treats I bring on our walks πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Greylags.

This hole is too small for a beaver but really too big to a water vole (even though they can get rather big and purely evil πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I wonder if we might have muskrats here? I also think the hole is too small for a Nutria.

I’ve been a bit busy in the garden both yesterday and today, ripping up stinging nettle roots, removing an annoying weed called cleavers. The entire vine is covered with tiny hooks, much like velcro, so as soon as it hits it stays and also spreads it seeds everywhere, especially my garden πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I now have it everywhere Β and it is important to destroy the roots, otherwise it just comes back again πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ It would take forever to get rid of it so I’ll concentrate to remove it from areas where the dogs tends to walk. I was thinking of perhaps spray it with very salty water to see what happens. One can make tea from them though so perhaps I can get rid of it by drinking it away πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

New leafs on the Rowan tree.

I admit that I’ve been standing in the most odd positions to get rid of both the cleaver and nettle so today my legs have been aching a lot πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ It does of course help to walk around a lot but as soon as I’m sitting still the pain comes back πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Could be worse though πŸ™‚ I’ve also started to move out the citrus trees I still have indoors and in the cool cellar, perhaps a bit early because it will be much cooler tomorrow and rain will follow. The different weather sites can’t agree to how much rain we’ll have but anything from tiny amounts to up to an inch is suggested πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

The monsterkitten.

The dogs and the monster have been outside with me the entire day as well, We did take a nap around 11 am and I was even more tired when the alarm sounded so I stayed in the bed for forty minutes more πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Still that didn’t help a lot πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I bought two more sacks with soil and poured them out in the big wooden box but can’t say it helped a lot πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Halt the surface is for the autumn flowering strawberries (why the flower in late summer and autumn I have no idea and they continue to do so until the frost takes them. Now I’ll have to figure out what more to have in the box. I’m thinking peas and beans since there’s a net at the back of the box where they can climb.

Nanking cherry.

I could have carrots there or perhaps some Japanese kale from seeds I bought, easier to cover both from any pests to be honest. I still have time to figure that out because art is way to early to sow them here now.

The white checkered lilies are always a couple of days after the normal ones.
Tulipa tarda, spreads almost like a weed πŸ™‚
White wood anemone.
This is a natural hybrid between the white wood anemone and the yellow one. It is milder in its yellow colour and the Swedish name for it is Sulphur anemone.

It is time for that last cup of tea and I think I’ll have a couple of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies as well πŸ™‚

The yellow wood anemone.
The blue coloured white wood anemone.
Have no idea what this white wood anemone is called.
Mahonia. Has those thorny leafs that the common holly has. This one will give blue berries that is said to taste like blueberries.

Have a great day!

Now I know the lawn mower works.

I used to have a really nice woodland in my garden but then dogs used that area to play so lots of plants died. Today I found Trillium leafs so I’ve put up sticks around them so the dogs won’t kill them when they run around there πŸ™‚

We woke up really early today, at 4:10 am. It was already quite bright outside even if the sun wouldn’t rise for another two hours. We went out for our morning walk as soon as the sun started to rise above the horizon and as soon as we stepped outside the clouds arrived and no more sunshine until we came back home when the clouds suddenly vanished πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I planted three more Primulas in there as well.
Scilla sibirica is usually blue but every now and again they can give other colours like white but I’ve seen pink as well.

After that the sun has been shining almost all day with a few exceptions when clouds passed by. Still 17C (62,6F) and almost no wind made a perfect day. I sat on the kitchen stairs and had a cup of coffee and Malkolm sat beside me and it was so hot that we had to go indoors for a while πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ So while we were cooling down a bit I did a round of laundry. I’m still a bit behind on that but I’m starting to come closer to just have to do it once a week now. I could of course have done a couple of rounds but I’m in no hurry πŸ™‚

I have actually been quite busy today, beside the laundry I also mowed the lawn!! Not a too tough job since the grass had grown quite unevenly πŸ™‚ I also ripped up more stinging nettle roots, cleaned away more plastic pots and actually also planted one apricot tree and the peach tree. They have been standing in the porch for several day and since they say we won’t have any frost the coming days I just thought I better start planting those trees now or it will not be done. To be honest it is a bit much to call them trees because they are after all only one year old yet and kind of tiny πŸ™‚

Soon all I will have left in the cool cellar will be the citrus trees and if it looks like frost will stay away I’ll bring those out to the patio as well. To my very big surprise I also found one of the petunias I thought I had killed during winter show a tiny green shoot. The soil was bone dry but still it started to grow again so when I found two more that looks totally dead I watered them too and hopes for the best πŸ™‚

I do have some tea left so I think I’ll make that last cup of tea for the day and also go down in the cellar again to see if there’s more to bring outside.

The apricot I planted yesterday, that black lid You can see behind is the grey water filter. I need to cover iy every winter because I use too little water and then it tends to freeze in there πŸ™‚
The lawn newly mowed.
The peach.
My Grape elder always produce leafs too early so the next frost will kill all this green and then it takes quite some time before new leafs come and it looks miserable until autumn πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

The wild hogs comes closer and closer.

The wild hogs are now just 50 meters (much the same in yards) away from my cottage, in the cow pasture beside the dog house/ yard. I did wonder why the dogs kept running around like crazy during the night πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

-6C (21,2F) as coldest last night but it can’t have lasted that long because it was close to 0C (32F) when we went outside after we had woken up. They said the sun would start to show around 8 am, so of course it didn’t arrive until after noon but when it did the world warmed up properly again πŸ™‚

I haven’t done much today, I sowed some leek seeds and was about to sow some bell pepper seeds but for some reason I still haven’t πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I’ll do it after writing this πŸ™‚ I can’t start sowing especially much yet because I don’t have the space indoors and we’ll most likely have frost several nights the coming week, days will be warmer again though.

Chionodoxa.
Vinca minor.
This is how it looks after I removed the grapevine. I think I’ll plant an apricot tree there.
Can never remember the name on these, spreads really happily everywhere though.

I started to clean up my garden yesterday and continued for a while today. I also gathered all the pots I’ve spread around the garden πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ For some reason I never empty them in the autumn so I really need to do it now before weeds grow and cover them so I can’t find any when I need to πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I’ve also continued to rip up stinging nettle roots and this time I managed to stay away from those nasty leafs. I have way too many nettles in the garden but then again they are edible so it is perhaps not such a bad thing to have just in case the orange idiot does something really stupid (worse than what he has so far and he’s done some really stupid things) πŸ™‚

I also tried to nap in the sofa while the sun shone through that window. Stupid idea when one has two dogs and a cat πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I can however tell You that when I gave up they finally decided it was time for them to have a nap πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

The orchid that flowered earlier this winter decided to give me more flowers, didn’t see that until I thought it was time topwater it πŸ™‚

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day. I must remember to buy more tea tomorrow when I’ll drive to my health care place to give blood before the kidney x-rays. Some time this week I’ll know if I got a job at the coffin factory, if not it sounds like I have another one on the way, they promised to call back this week and give me a job if I didn’t got the coffin job.

Have a great day!

I couldn’t put it off any longer.

It was pretty chilly this morning and the sky was covered with dark grey clouds and it looked like the ground was covered in a fine fog. I didn’t want to got outside if it was cold so our morning walk was delayed for quite some time. It wasn’t that much warmer when we finally did get out but it didn’t take that long before the sun broke through the clouds and after that we’ve had sunshine all day long πŸ™‚

Today I couldn’t postponed it any longer, I had to clean the filters in my grey water sewer. It’s only the water from laundry, shower and the dishes going through there before it is pumped out to the Root zone. The root zone is much like a pond bit filled with sand, gravel and clay and planted with plants that prefers to live in swamps, both flowers (like the Yellow flag) and bulrush and other things. That area is much like a quagmire so one really doesn’t want to sink down into it πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

So to be honest there isn’t anything nasty in that water but still the filters and water are quite nasty πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ First from the dogs, dishes laundry dry and me are collected in the filter so after a while it sort of becomes a slow running liquid, it smells nasty in one way but since soap and detergent goes through it sort of smells perfume as well πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Thankfully I have a water vacuum so it is easy to get out of the filter but after that I need to bring it out of the box, brush of what ever sticks to it and then clean it and I can tell You all that one isn’t especially clean after doing that πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Waiting for us to finally come home after the morning walk πŸ™‚

Now I don’t have to think about it or do anything about it for another year and I know I’ll drag my feet next year as well just because it’s so nasty. Just think of it as cleaning the shower drainage Β πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I’ve also done two batches of laundry so I feel that I’ve done enough for today. Tomorrow I’ll go to the coffin factory for a visit and hope I’ll get the job πŸ™‚ If not for any other reason than to have the title coffin maker πŸ™‚ The only thing is that we don’t use titles here, no Mr, Mrs or Miss. We never say I’m doctor or coffin maker or anything. We always use our first names when talking to other people, even strangers but I would be able to use it when someone asks for what job I have. To say You or trying to use a title when talking to someone is to be rude and insulting here, even kids use the first name of their teachers.

This is the beginning of a greater sea-kale. It is tricky in so many ways when sowing them. Can take two or three years before it germinates and when it does it’s so easy to water it too much so it dies and rots away. As old though it’s tough enough to survive most things.
I thought this giant sequoia was dead after what ever it was (most possibly a certain monster kitten) had chewed off all branches but now it shows new needles πŸ™‚

It is time to have that last cup of tea and after that I’ll see if there’s anything worth watching on tv.

Have a great day!

Well she’s anything but an explorer, she prefers to stay close to the door and sleep in the sunshine. Also Malkolm will not allow her to stray too far πŸ™‚

Our nesting couples are here now :-)

The new neighbours cat. The photos can come from today but also several days back, sunny photos are always nicer πŸ™‚

It was warmish and cloudy this morning when we went out in the garden. Four cranes were walking in the field outside my garden, two left when they heard us but two stayed. The problem was that I only could photograph them through the branches on my catalpa tree πŸ™‚ I did get a few reasonable good ones though.

I had forgotten a few things last time I was at the supermarket so I went there again this morning before our morning walk, I like to go there as early as possible so that very few other customers are there. They tend to annoy me when they start complaining when there’s only one cashier even though they already are second in line πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Anyway I stopped by the lake to take a few photos of the cranes there and once again I was too lazy to get out of the car πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

The clouds blew away in the petty strong wind we’ve had since yesterday, a steady wind with few gusts Β so it was quite nice to walk in the forest. I took a look at the small trees I’ve placed in the patio and so far they look really good, even if we would have temperatures below 0C (32F) at night the cottage itself will make sure those temperatures won’t reach the plants.

Besides this very little has happened here, the dogs and I had pancakes for dinner (well they had their own food first, I don’t think pancakes would be especially good to have as the only thing to eat πŸ™‚ ). I think I can see flower buds on the apricot trees in the garden. Apricots are really hardy but they don’t change their habits just because they live in a harsher climate, they will flower at the same time as they do everywhere else they grow naturally πŸ™‚ So if they start to flower soon I’ll need to cover the trees with some cloth so no frost takes away eventual fruit. Easy at the moment but one day they’ll be big trees πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I’m not sure if I’ve missed all the Germans (and Dutch) because there’s only “normal” sized motorhomes by the lake. Could be that I’m a bit early because it looks like most cranes will come in April, yesterday there were 9300 cranes by the lake.

It is time for that last cup of tea and then watch some tv πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

Hold Your thumbs and cross Your fingers!

These photos are a bit old now but it was nicer weather when I took them than it was this morning πŸ™‚

Β

We had odd weather yesterday, we were supposed to have rain and we did get some misty rain but that was it. Instead the air felt sort of thick (no mist or fog) so it did drop a lot from the roofs anyway, really odd πŸ™‚ It stayed that way until noon today when the sun broke through the clouds and dried up the air.

I was preparing for going to my job coach when a number called that I didn’t recognise at all. Normally I just check the number and if it is from specific telephone companies I just block them because it is always someone trying to sell me things. Today however I answered and a good thing that was πŸ™‚ Next Tuesday I’ll go to a place where I’ve applied for a job and have a tour of the factory πŸ™‚ I have no idea if I am one of several people doing this or if it means I got the job but just to be able to actually go to a work place feels good.

This place makes coffins and back in the days FalkΓΆping had six such makers, today I think this is the only one left. I just took a little look on Google and it seems it’s the only one in the entire country, can be wrong but it looks that way. So I need You all to hold Your thumbs and cross Your fingers next Tuesday πŸ™‚ Very little has happened here otherwise, Cranes fly above our heads all day long and they are so many down by the lake that the sound from them is like a wall of sound πŸ™‚ Even though it is hard to tell that sound comes from Cranes I still like to hear it in the morning πŸ™‚

It is time for a cup of tea and then go outside for a while before the sun sets and it gets a bit chilly again. Yesterday I placed a couple apricot tree, a peach tree and Β four quince trees from the cellar out in the patio. I would have brought out more if it wasn’t for the monster kitten and Malkolm rushing through there when they chase each other πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I’ll see if I can moves things around to get some extra space for a couple of more trees πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

Β
