Before the storm arrives.

It was windy already when I woke up this morning and it has kept on all day but now it’ll calm down during the night just to grow up to be a storm hitting us hard tomorrow afternoon/ night. The storm called Dave is at the moment hitting the British Isles so it’ll be interesting to see the news later tonight. It has been a rather nice day though with lots of sunshine and fairly warm weather. My neighbours cottage and garage takes almost all wind so it has been calm and nice in my garden πŸ™‚

We walked out to the bog this morning and I didn’t want to be walking in the forest too much because one never knows when a tree will fall. The wind was quite loud and we had the wind hitting us in the face. that’s why we could come as close as ten meters (much the same in yards) to a gracing Roe deer πŸ™‚ I managed to take one photo despite both Alma and Malkolm pulling the leash at the same time. That’s when the deer noticed us and jumped straight in to the forest πŸ™‚

I drove to the supermarket this morning as well. Normally I would do it on Monday when I usually need to drive to FalkΓΆping anyway but Monday will be almost as windy and it’s a holiday so I don’t need to go there anyway. I bought three big sacks of different soil for some reason, really don’t need it since I must empty my composts and there’s enough in there to last me a year πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I also bought a holiday ham, it is exactly the same thing as a christmas ham to be honest πŸ™‚ So I might just do as I do during christmas and grill it in the oven with a layer of egg, mustard and breadcrumbs (well in my case breadcrumbs made from corn, tastes much the same). That will most likely last a week and after that I’m so tired of it that I won’t want any again until christmas πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Time to watch the news, I’ve already had my last cup of tea for the day so instead I’ll end the evening by having an ice cream instead πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

Hi Christer, i haven’t been blog reading for a while so had some catching up to do the past couple of days. Last week, I was hit with a very nasty stomach bug which had me sleeping and lying down all week. I did make a medical appointment and was told that I was dehydrated and needed to drink sports drinks to replenish electrolytes and within a day was feeling so much better. I bought some bottles for home and also powders to take on our grip next week. We are getting a lot of rain this week and the possibility of snow showers on Tuesday! It seems that Soring does not want to arrive in NH.😏 hope you enjoy the Easter ham.

      Hi Beatrice!

I do hope You don’t get another stomach bug any time soon, well ever again πŸ™‚

Very little rain here but a storm passed by and created havoc in big parts of south western Sweden. Lots of households lost power and trees fell everywhere but we had the luck of still having power and from what I could see on our morning walk very few trees fell πŸ™‚

The ham turned out really well πŸ™‚

Yes it is so important to drink a lot when having stomach bugs, personally I almost always have rose-hip soup or Blueberry soup.
